Jono Plays the Cort CR100 Classic Rock Guitar
Great friend of Goldies, musician, tutor, and artist, Jonathan (Jono) Annandale, paid us a visit here at Goldies to play some of our, as well as his, instruments.
In this vid, he takes one of the best value entry-level rock guitars, a Cort CR100 Classic Rock Series, for a spin, noodle and chop. We think you'll agree, that it's a great starter and has some nice party tricks.
You can shop for the Cort CR100 from Goldies NOW at: goldiesmusic.co.nz/collections/cort-electric/products/cort-cr100-electric-guitar

Musician and educator, Nick Marsh (@instant_beard) visited Goldies with his stunning Godin 5th Avenue CW Kingpin II HB in delicious Cognac Burst. Nick has a truly impressive resume when it comes to music. He developed his expertise at the London College of Music, earning two diplomas in classical guitar performance and theory. After moving Down Under he further pursued this passion by composing...
Is the NEWEN TL the Best Affordable Tele on the Market?
Просмотров 11 тыс.Год назад
We think the NEWEN range of Patagonian wood guitar's are second-to-none in terms of value, so we asked renowned guitarist and tutor, Nick Marsh (@instant_beard) to put a Tele-style model through its paces and then guess the price! Shop the NEWEN TL from Goldies NOW at: goldiesmusic.co.nz/collections/newen-electric/products/newen-tl Get in touch with us at Goldies and say 'hi' at: goldiesmusic.c...
Nick plays his Godwin wonderfully, mine sounds awful the worse guitar I’ve ever had..!
Dose this guitar need batterys
what's the size of the pickup frame those pick up covers..im tryna customize when i get one
Godin are over priced and average modern factory guitars. I’m very sad to say that Asian production guitars are now as well as or better made and definitely better value. I don’t like having to say this at all but that’s the way it is.
Nice sound Nick, what brand are those strings?
Daddario flat wound chromes 13 gauge
Sounds pretty suck but through what amp?? 😂

Las malvinas son argentinas 🇦🇷
“If you can’t make it with a guitar and an amp you need to ask yourself some questions.” ⬆️ Yep that’s the one 🤘🏼
"George Benson Before the Hair Gel " that's funny, Nick where did your Grandmother teach Piano? probably no Connection My Grandmother taught Piano , her Maiden name was 'Marsh,' Cap and Gown awarded, RCM and she was the first woman to play Drury Lane theatre,(so I'm told) later with E.N.S.A,
very cool... my gran was up in Derbyshire/ Notts border DH lawrence country...she was on my mum's side so her surname wasn't Marsh
This Godin would make a good comparison video with the Epiphone Casino and would get big number views.
Is it lightwieght or lighter n smaller than standard Les paul?
I just bought one of these as my first guitar. I'm so excited to learn how to play.
how is it?
@@enricomattioli53 I love it. I'm a complete beginner, but it's a very well made guitar. Sounds good too. When he talks about how well the guitar resonates, and keeps the sound is true, it's fun when I'm learning chords. The neck is comfortable, and the overall finish of the guitar is also good quality. The store I bought it from here in the Netherlands even had it tuned in, so I had very little work to do. My musician friend also played on it, and said it is a great guitar (He's been playing for over 6 years, both acoustic and electric guitar). I would absolutely recommend this guitar for other beginners too.
3 months in? whats the progress? the experience?
@@isonef I'm a slow learner, but I gotta say it's been great. Just put on new strings with the help of a friend who's been playing for 30 years. He said it was a good choice and he would have been more than happy to have this as his first guitar. Sustain is great too.
@@PetiHuberyou still playing? How's the guitar now?
I wish they had a maple neck version
Yes
Here in Argentina the maple is so overpriced, we use Lenga Patagonica for the woods
Does it need to humidified when storing it in the case during winter?
For sure. Seeing as it is a true archtop you are definitely going to want to humidify this to keep it from cracking.
some guy said he doesn’t, it’s laminated wood and can handle lots of roughage
I just got their P-Bass for 120 bucks. It's very decently made. I'm proud my country's producing such nice instruments for so cheap.
sounding nice
I've been stuck between buying this one or the ibanez GRG170DX-BKN, i would really appreciate your recommendation 😢
Which one you bought bro?
hi sir, sorry for asking this but can you put a moderm bridge in this guitar? like a gotoh gtc 201 or similar
most likely, yes
I just paused to check this Leo guy out. Oh my goodness. That guy is a beast!
Greetings from Bogota. Could you please recommend a small practice amp to use with a Godin 5th Avenue guitar?
Yamaha THR30II
Could you please recommend between newen tele and strat? It's gonna be my first electric guitar.
What did you get?
@@obviousguy2611 strat.
Excellent first guitar
@@obviousguy2611 newen stratocaster
i joust bought this guitar for 500 bucks , cant wait to get it
Happy for you! I have my eyes on a Memphis sun for 799 & this one for 850 I pray I can negotiate closer to the price you acquired yours @! Wishing you happy strumming!
Wait what pedal do you use at the beginning? Got an eargasm from that sound
Look out for the video covering Jono’s pedals very soon!
Might be either fuzz or DS-03, idk what kind of fuzz tho sorry (read this with a pinch of salt cuz im a beginner)
We're right fuzz face I'll go with big muff @@radiyooooo6433
i think I'll buy this Cort. It looks like one of the best Les Paul for the beginning))
Great choice and happy playing!!
Beautiful guitar and a beautiful full, woody tone. A+
Thank you kindly, and thanks so much for watching!
This made me decide to buy this CR100 because of your review. However is it normal that I am experiencing a white noise or some grounded like noise, either using bridge or neck pickup. i replaced the cable already using noiseless cable but to no avail. Any idea whats wrong?
Hi there- thanks for your comments, if you’re in Auckland, New Zealand we’d love to help, if not, it sounds like it might be worth getting the wiring checked out by a good local luthier. Good luck and enjoy your great guitar!
how does it sound now?
Its an awesome guitar!! Very bluesy!! Making some upgrades and you can go on the road and play some gigs! I have one of those, its a natural tone color.
Totally agree, Carlos, and thanks for your comments!!
How to upgrade your guitar
Awesome !!

Wow! That's a really nice guitar for not a lot of money! :) Lovely playing too!
Thank you and yeah, we think it’s huge value for money and well-worth a look! Thanks for your support and stay tuned for more guitar content coming very soon. 🎸👍
