Me too man, it’s treated me well overall. Definitely some improvements to be mad but overall I don’t regret buying this at all. If you’re into streaming it’s awesome to have the G Keys for things like scene transitions and clippings

Also my Xbox series elite 2 feels more responsive and I know for sure that shouldn’t be the case

Hey man so my idea for making the controller as consistent from game to game would be to make sure your deadzones (triggers/thumbsticks) for the IN GAME SETTINGS are reduced as much as possible across the board. (Halo/Apex/CoD/Helldivers whatever game it is) I lower them in game settings all the way down. Once they are all lowered that’s when I make a profile in iCue for each individual game. I then do all my deadzone tweaks in the iCue software to eliminate any problems from game to game. That’s the best way I was able to calibrate deadzones and keep them consistent.

Honestly that’s what it popped up as when I plugged it in with the type-c cable connector. It’s a PC only controller but it’s recognized as a XBOX controller since it has the ABXY button platform. Wish I could give a better answer but it came up as that default.

@@muS5s oh my bad you right; I connected one via cable and the second one via the provided WiFi usb dongle Scuf supplies in the box! Again it just recognizes it as Xbox automatically.

Nahhh actually you can’t; it’s not like some other controllers on the market where you can like hold down a “pairing” button and set “Paddle 1” to “Left D-Pad” or something like that. You can set other profiles though and swap between those with a button on the front of the controller. Only way to program buttons/paddles/sax buttons are with the iCue software.

@@BaRCoDeMaJic You definitely could set macros to all the face buttons as well as paddles and saxs buttons but you can’t physically program them without using iCue on your computer. Just open the software click on whatever button you wanna set a macro to and type in the macro string into a text box and your good to go. I show macros specifically in another video actually for helldivers. I’ll link it below!

Actually you can’t, slight bummer with the Envision Pro since it is only a PC controller. Doesn’t get recognized on any other platform as of now.

Yeah man that was my initial idea with trying the controller out. I heard mixed reviews and wanted to try it out for myself. Best Buy is the way for this one man. They gave me 14 days no questions asked and box could be opened and still get your full return. So don’t stress yourself out man. Hopefully you got a good one like I did the first time. Let me know how it goes for you man. Wish you the best cause honestly the control is awesome when it’s not defective out the gate.

Sadly that’s the case for a large portion of the community that got their hands on these controllers. This was my first Scuf product but based on how long it continues to hold on for and if they decide to make some hardware changes in the future will determine if I buy another Scuf product. Definitely been looking into other brands that offer paddles. Any suggestions on what you prefer?

@@pizzaxavi this was my first (and last) scuf product too. Lol Heard the vader 4 pro is a good value. But, it doesn't have those extra bumpers, which makes the scuf very good for slide canceling cod crack heads like me. Lol I agree hopefully they make improvements to the reliability in the future wayyy to pricey to have terrible QC.

@@dustindavidson9139 yeah I feel you on the crackhead slide cancels. I don’t mind claw grip but man the elite series 2 spoiled me with paddles. I wanna do more research on the market and if I get another one best believe I’ll let you know my thoughts.

Honestly I’m right there with you man; my last controller was a second hand Xbox Elite Series 2 and that has been my favorite controller to date as far as functionality and comfort in the hands. When the bumpers on that started to go I was between getting another new Elite Series 2 and the Envision Pro and just opted for a new platform. Seemed like a really nice idea at the time (not that I hate the controller now cause I don’t I actually really like it) I just wish it didn’t fall apart or come with so many inconsistencies.

Yeah man calibrating the sticks is the only way I’m still able to get by with using it. Definitely glad that’s a feature; I just wanted to be sure to show the results without any deadzone assistance since most people are focused on what that looks like. Thanks for the comment man.

Yes! The iCue software is actually provided and required to use the controllers full functionality. It is nice that you can tweak the controller down the road after normal wear and tear like my case. (Some people may see that as a cop out for cheap parts but nonetheless it’s nice that the option to tweak it is there) The hardware tester is a website though to see more detailed inputs. I use the Select/Options button on the face of the controller. Just usually claw my finger over from the left trigger to tap it really quick. Didn’t set it to a secondary button or anything

Dang man I’m sorry to hear it! Honestly I still stand by my experience with the controller based on this video. I had one moment where I thought my trigger didn’t work but it was something that changed in my apex settings (the in game deadzones for the triggers reset) so it made it seem like something was wrong but it wasn’t. Sad to hear that some people have such positive experiences with the controller and others seem to get the bad apples in the batch. Wish the consistency with scuf was a little more controlled.

@@pizzaxavi my only concern is the inevitable stick drift . Seems like theirs technology combating this but I'm not sure it's present in this or the instinct. Can I just change the thumbstick and it go away will I need to send it in?

Honestly I was into it for the same reasons, I prefer the straight analog position. I thought that the sax buttons were placed in a weird spot before actually getting some hands on time with the controller. I never accidentally hit them (probably did like 2-3 times) but not as intrusive as they seem. I honestly really enjoy the location of them now but with that being said I never tried any of the Razer controller button layout

Lmfao that was my feelings coming from my broken Elite series 2 which left bumper would activate whenever it wanted to 🥲 I’m still happy with my purchase. The Envision has done me only good so far.

Sadly nah man; the Scuf envision is only for PC right now. No console use whatsoever.

Honestly man I feel you big time, the vantage 1 is the only other Scuf controller I ever used and it was the intro to sax buttons but dude seriously, so hard to not have them now it feels like a must. Despite all the complaints the internet through out there the controller has treated me very well. I ain’t sponsored by Scuf or anything so I owe them no kind words. The controller is nice; when I first got it iCue was kinda buggy but now it have zero complaints; it doesn’t close out on me or anything like that. All my programming works for keybinds and the build quality for my controller has been holding up. Some people have issues with triggers not working or drift. I can’t speak to those issues luckily but just like you man I took that risk and was happy with my purchase.

@@pizzaxavi when did this come out? I'm wondering if I should wait for maybe envision 2 if ever one. Don't wana get this then something happen in a year. Then tell me can't fix because they don't support / have parts anymore. (Because they moved to next new one.) It's troubling when even under warranty most likely won't cover it after a year or new controller they make comes. Trying envision 2 pro at best buy it felt better than any controller ever. Not hard to push back buttons with pinky like was with Xbox elite controller for Xbox 1. Thank you though really need some true honest feedback especially from non Scuff fans like me thanks to their warranty issue. Never had issue with Vantage 1 never dropped it. Then 1 day plug in non stops vibrates. Can't do anything about it. Might wait till next yr when the rtx 5090 comes so can get a custom PC from Origin when they release n maybe by then be envision 2. Or might just get now to play on wifes laptop but only rtx 2080

Dang man that’s rough; seems like the comments are kinda split. Luckily in my case I haven’t had any mechanical issues. Only thing is the detail on the grips on the back of the controller is eating away from use a little. Also my white faceplate is starting to brown slightly from the oils on my hands after about 3 months of use.

Manufacturer warranty should cover that i think? It comes with one year

Try adjusting the deadzones in the game your playing. I usually turn my deadzones in game down to 0% then dial them in with iCue

Sorry didn’t reply earlier! Idky the hardware mapping wouldn’t be showing but I would start with the triggers deadzone to be adjusted to zero and then set them to zero in whatever game your playing as well. I typically set my triggers to zero in the in game settings if it allows me and then I dial it in with the icue settings till they feel responsive.

@@pizzaxavi I just risked it for the biscuit and everything turned out fine no errors no bugs I guess it was just a tool from iCUE. I was on version 0.8.37 when I first got my controller last Saturday was worried of updating the the latest firmware from all the negative posts I seen but felt more confident after watching your video haha but honestly my controller feels way more responsive

I’m not to sure what could be the reason but I would make sure you don’t have your delays set to fast in between inputs. Also just double check that you have the correct “Push” “Release” buttons selected.

Thanks man! Appreciate the feedback. Also mmmmm I’m not gonna lie my thumbstick isn’t perfectly centered everytime while looking at the diagram in iCue. I have my thumb stick set to 2% deadzone because if I flick the thumb stick and let it snap back to center it’s what I would call 1% off so in my head setting it to 2% fixes it and I never had any issue with it after that. As far as swapping it out that’s your call man. 5% is kinda high if it’s a brand new control but then again you could always adjust deadzone in game to be set to zero for certain games so that the 5% in iCue and the let’s say 5% deadzone in game doesn’t add up to 10% or something. If that makes sense. I always turn my deadzone settings to zero if the in game settings allow it so I’m not stacking deadzone adjustments between in game and iCue.

Idk much, but seems like putting it on 5 percent for a new roller is a little whack. So I’m returning it and getting another one to try. Well I got my auto run turned on so I’m always sprinting but “A” and “B” for jump and crouch has always been on the right hand for me. I’m just used to it. Some people like opposite hands for that but just habit for me really.

@@pizzaxavi I feel you. I looked up this vid just to see how others have it mapped. I found it easy for me to slide(left paddle) and jump(right paddle).

@@pizzaxavi by the way, any idea as to why my mappings will stop working if I disconnect my usb mid game and try to reconnect it right after - the mappings still won’t work unless I reset the PC?

​@@ChiVegaYTThat actually happened to me but I found that if I switch the connection from wifi to usb connection and reopen icue it works again. The wire kinda resets it and then I just flip back to the bluetooth mode

Dang man sorry to hear about the malfunction; I haven’t had that issue at all (or yet lol) I also only use the hair triggers but yeah totally agree with you 5 months too soon for stuff like that to happen. How was the customer service experience cause I heard that dealing with Scuf could go either or sometimes.

@@pizzaxavi the only interaction I had with support was them approving my request, the process to get my controller repaired was pretty easy. I just filled out a form with my order # and the Scuf seal of approval number (which is the controller serial number) and they emailed me, approving my repair request within an hour of submitting the form. I just shipped the controller out today so if I remember, I’ll come back to let you know how long it takes for them to repair and send back my controller

@@pizzaxavi controller came back like 5 days ago so it took about two weeks for them to repair and send it back, not too bad

Yeah man I honestly would. My only original complaint was the size of the paddles but I quickly got adjusted to the feel coming from the Series 2 to the Envision Pro. Now I really got used to the shoulder buttons and use them way more than I anticipated.

@@hutch3459 dude that was my same issue, I ended up pulling the controller apart a few times and “fixing” them (there are these tiny plastic shims under the bumpers actuators and they are so flimsy they stop making contact and end up missing inputs.) if you haven’t tried pulling it apart it’s worth a shot if anything. It got me a couple more months out of it before it started acting weird again so I caved and got the Scuf
