Why didn't people recognize Jesus AFTER the resurrection?
Sorry but no. You’re putting the church before the gospel. If the gospel preached does not align with the gospel given to Paul then you should not attend that church. If it does great, then fellowship is fruitful. But otherwise best to stay away.
Amen 🙏 jesus is my lord

One big aspect he forgot to say. If you accept Jesus, fallow Jesus and repent. Show remorse for your sins. Stop sinning etc. It is not free pass for sinning-but some people treat it that way.
That’s correct! To repent is to turn from your old, sinful way of life and follow the example Jesus set, believing in him for your salvation and entrusting your life to his will. This snippet was a clip from a larger sermon - here’s the link! 🔗 ruclips.net/video/TXfZZfv_CnY/видео.htmlsi=5Nlb50nMV-Rl-xaW
It is confession of sins that sins are forgiven. Jesus gave his disciples a special blessing in order for them to be able to do that and the disciples made other disciples and gave them the same blessing. So it is through confession by the power of the blood of Jesus that sins are forgiven. Also don't forget that in the Old Testament we see the same thing people going to preists and they offer sacrifices and not themselves alone. John 20.20-23 And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then rejoiced when they saw the Lord. So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained.” God bless you and guide you all 🙏🏼☦️
Salvation cannot happen without a confession of our sin, that’s true. It’s Jesus’ blood that has paid the ultimate price. However, we believe that people do not hold the power of another’s salvation - including the apostles. During Old Testament times, an intercessor was required, but when Jesus was crucified, scripture says the veil of the temple was torn, symbolizing our direct access to him. There’s no need for a middle-man anymore, praise God! The John 20 passage you mentioned is actually consistent with this idea that God alone holds the power to forgive sin. Jesus (being God) gave the apostles the gift of the Spirit in order to be witnesses to his gospel. As they proclaimed the gospel, they could honestly tell people who believed in that message that their sins were forgiven, and they could honestly tell people that did not believe in the message that their sins were not forgiven and that they stand condemned in God’s eyes. When read in the context of passages like Acts 10:43-44, Colossians 2:13-14, and Romans 10:9, we can rightly understand what Jesus’ words in John 20.
@@fbcbloomfieldnm that's not what the disciples of the apostles taught. “Confess your sins in church, and do not go up to your prayer with an evil conscience. This is the way of life. . . . On the Lord’s Day gather together, break bread, and give thanks, after confessing your transgressions so that your sacrifice may be pure” (Didache 4:14, 14:1 [A.D. 70]). Ignatius of Antioch “For as many as are of God and of Jesus Christ are also with the bishop. And as many as shall, in the exercise of penance, return into the unity of the Church, these, too, shall belong to God, that they may live according to Jesus Christ” (Letter to the Philadelphians 3 [A.D. 110]). “For where there is division and wrath, God does not dwell. To all them that repent, the Lord grants forgiveness, if they turn in penitence to the unity of God, and to communion with the bishop” (ibid., 8). “You shall judge righteously. You shall not make a schism, but you shall pacify those that contend by bringing them together. You shall confess your sins. You shall not go to prayer with an evil conscience. This is the way of light” (Letter of Barnabas 19 [A.D. 74]). Irenaeus “[The Gnostic disciples of Marcus] have deluded many women. . . . Their consciences have been branded as with a hot iron. Some of these women make a public confession, but others are ashamed to do this, and in silence, as if withdrawing from themselves the hope of the life of God, they either apostatize entirely or hesitate between the two courses” (Against Heresies 1:22 [A.D. 189]). Tertullian “[Regarding confession, some] flee from this work as being an exposure of themselves, or they put it off from day to day. I presume they are more mindful of modesty than of salvation, like those who contract a disease in the more shameful parts of the body and shun making themselves known to the physicians; and thus they perish along with their own bashfulness” (Repentance 10:1 [A.D. 203]). Hippolytus “[The bishop conducting the ordination of the new bishop shall pray:] God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. . . . Pour forth now that power which comes from you, from your royal Spirit, which you gave to your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, and which he bestowed upon his holy apostles . . . and grant this your servant, whom you have chosen for the episcopate, [the power] to feed your holy flock and to serve without blame as your high priest, ministering night and day to propitiate unceasingly before your face and to offer to you the gifts of your holy Church, and by the Spirit of the high priesthood to have the authority to forgive sins, in accord with your command” (Apostolic Tradition 3 [A.D. 215]). Origen “[A final method of forgiveness], albeit hard and laborious [is] the remission of sins through penance, when the sinner . . . does not shrink from declaring his sin to a priest of the Lord and from seeking medicine, after the manner of him who say, ‘I said, “To the Lord I will accuse myself of my iniquity”’” (Homilies on Leviticus 2:4 [A.D. 248]). Cyprian of Carthage “The apostle [Paul] likewise bears witness and says: ‘ . . . Whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord’ [1 Cor. 11:27]. But [the impenitent] spurn and despise all these warnings; before their sins are expiated, before they have made a confession of their crime, before their conscience has been purged in the ceremony and at the hand of the priest . . . they do violence to [the Lord’s] body and blood, and with their hands and mouth they sin against the Lord more than when they denied him” (The Lapsed 15:1-3 (A.D. 251]). “Of how much greater faith and salutary fear are they who . . . confess their sins to the priests of God in a straightforward manner and in sorrow, making an open declaration of conscience. . . . I beseech you, brethren, let everyone who has sinned confess his sin while he is still in this world, while his confession is still admissible, while the satisfaction and remission made through the priests are still pleasing before the Lord” (ibid., 28). “[S]inners may do penance for a set time, and according to the rules of discipline come to public confession, and by imposition of the hand of the bishop and clergy receive the right of Communion. [But now some] with their time [of penance] still unfulfilled . . . they are admitted to Communion, and their name is presented; and while the penitence is not yet performed, confession is not yet made, the hands of the bishop and clergy are not yet laid upon them, the Eucharist is given to them; although it is written, ‘Whosoever shall eat the bread and drink the cup of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord’ [1 Cor. 11:27]” (Letters 9:2 [A.D. 253]). And they knew better than us because the apostles taught them or the students of the apostles. God bless you and guide you 🙏🏼☦️
If that is the case and if Jesus didn’t die for me and I didn’t except him as my savior then all the trees would cease to exist
?
We will still be judged at the judgement seat of Christ. Although we will no longer be in condemnation so instead we are judged and rewarded for our good deeds.
If we have accepted Christ’s message and believed in him, then we have nothing to fear on the day of judgement, and only joy awaiting us in eternity!
Isaiah 43:25 - I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
Or, death itself is payment for each sin. Death is caused by sin.
i do not sin- there is no such thing as sin - stop trying to make peole fearful just so you can control thme- you are disgustin
Okay😂
“If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” - 1 John 1:8-9
@@kcinpoint we all sin, it's not a fear tactic, it's the truth, I'm praying for you Come to Christ and have a relationship with Him❤️🙏❤️
The Bible states, "Go and sin no more." According to the Bible, we should strive to live a sinless life. It's not acceptable to live in sin and expect to go to heaven. While forgiveness is important, we cannot continue to sin repetitively and expect forgiveness. It's possible that many people who identify as Christians may not actually be going to heaven. It's important to remember that none of us deserve heaven; it is only by the grace of God. God loves you, @kcinpoint. If you want to know Him, reach out to Him and you will understand that He does exist, and all He wants is for us to do what is right. We have free will, so if you choose not to know God, you will be separated from Him after death, which is hell. You should only fear one thing, which is God. Fear nothing else, but you should be so fearful of judgment day that you follow His commandments. Read Proverbs and Psalms - they basically tell you exactly how to live.
This is the gospel, not fear based moralism. Some try to live moral lives in hope that God will bless them, give them entrance into heaven, or as a fire insurance policy; religion. The gospel is different from that. The gospel dispels fear of death and hell, because the price for out sins has been paid; Jesus took the punishment for our sins, the wrong things we have done. Those who wish to control people through fear and guilt don't use the gospel. Instead, they will tell people to do this or that to avoid hell; to do all the religious activites as a fire insurance policy. The gospel is different. It brings a transformation of the heart to those who believe it. They are no longer doing moral or religious things in order to control God and make God bless them, or to save themselves from hell. Now they do those things because God is their father and they want to please Him because they love Him. Totally different motive. True gospel preachers don't appeal to fear or guilt, except they show people their true condition before God, so they can recieve the "cure". A doctor who tells his patient that he or she has cancer is not trying to control them with fear, but to tell them the truth, so that they can get treatment. But if they don't know they have cancer, they won't want to get treatment, because they think they are fine. Same with the gospel. The gospel is the "treatment" for our spiritual disease. And it is also the way we can be judged not guilty before God for all the times we lied, stole, lusted, fornicated, hated, hurt others, murdered, blasphemed, slandered, and every form of wrongdoing that we have done. The gospel isn't there to make us feel guilty and afraid, but to cleanse us from the guilt we already have (by God's forgiveness), because we are in fact guilty, and to rid us of the fear of death. It is the cure. Religion on the other hand causes guilt and fear, and gives no cure for our condition. Salvation is a gift. You don't have to join a religion to get the gift, to have eternal life, to be right with God, to have a relationship with God. All you need to do is repent and believe the gospel to recieve the gift of salvation. God loves us; He has made it easy for us. Then you're in the kingdom of God, and in the army of God. And every good deed will be rewarded. Not with Heaven or eternal life, because that is free. But we will get eternal rewards, and if we suffer with Christ (because we will suffer persecution), we will reign with Jesus when He returns to rule the earth. It's good news. Be blessed.
Amen brother. His blood covers are sins let us remember it is not a License to sin so we must stay strong and on the path of Christ he is our example Jesus Christ praise God
But It mean stop
AMEN, ❤❤❤❤❤
Very curious the Catholic view on this
We would encourage you to take some time to investigate for yourself. There are no gatekeepers of salvation. Jesus himself is the way to eternal life (John 14:6) and he has revealed through the pages of scripture how to experience freedom from our sin. His word holds far more weight than that of any religion, group, or individual - including us!
Amen❤️🙏❤️
This is the reason there is such a high divorce rate lol. Just write down what you want out of a relationship and a partner, and find somebody who wants the same things. Its that easy. Running to a fake god isn't going to actually help you in any situation.
You’re right - running to a fake god won’t help anyone. But following Jesus will always change make a positive difference in human relationships. Harvard's School of Public Health found that regularly attending church services together reduces a couple's risk of divorce by 47%. Those whose first commitment is to the lordship of Jesus put fewer expectations upon their spouses to meet emotional needs that only Christ can meet.

What does it mean “punishment for his own sin”?
Great question! In this clip Pastor Ryan is reading from Isaiah 53, which is a prophesy of the Messiah’s death. He’s basically saying that many would see Christ’s suffering, but not understand it. You see, the crucifixion wasn’t a punishment for Jesus’ sin (because he didn’t have any!), but rather the sins of the whole world which He had taken upon Himself. Does that help?
God loves you all, so he sent his only son to die for us. JESUS did nothing wrong 😢
Amen 🙏🏽

Prayers and Prayers. Amen and Amen again Amen
Jesus is better than perfect he wants to make you perfect by loving you because as God is love and he wants you to be that showing that he's way better than everybody else

AMEN, IT WAS PROVISION FOR THEPURPOSE WHICH WAS THAT THE KINGDOM OF GOD WOULD TAKE BACKTHIS EARTH
I would take that with a grain of salt. Your sins are forgiven when you stop sinning. The merit of Christ belongs to him alone. YOU ARE NOT ABSOLVED. You have been warned.
1 John 1:8-10 says, “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” It doesn’t say, “If we stop sinning, he is faithful and just and will forgive us…” We cannot completely escape the effects of sin in this world. Romans 5:8 shows us that Christ’s crucifixion was the ultimate act of love toward humanity, a humanity that had not yet turned from its sin. God’s love for us is not conditional, and his forgiveness is available to all who would “confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised him from the dead.” (Romans 10:9)
Amen

Beautifully said. Jesus is King. Jesus is the Light, no shadow in turning. Seek Him. If you knew Him, you would Love Him. Jesus is the source of Love.
Jesus was a rebel lmao, thats what makes him a martyr. The hero of mankind.
You think so? In what way was he a rebel?
This is very confusing
Satan is the master of confusion. Don't allow satan to enter your thoughts. Jesus is the source of Love. Please seek Him. Seek Jesus wholeheartedly and He will prove Himself to you. Please ask me what you don't understand. I'll be glad to help you. May the Love of God come upon you. You only have to invite Jesus into your heart...
Heres a explanation!: He is basically describing why Jesus sacrificed himself on a cross. To save us from our sins. Even through we fall short, Jesus did it for US. ( here ya go^^
Hi Christine, thanks for the comment. What part is confusing? We’d love to help clarify 😃
Haleuiah Lord Jesus my Lord my king my everything.if it was me and me alone you would of took my punishment on the cross of Calvary! Praise the Lord almighty!!!❤❤❤
