I started my channel to document my walks & photography interests from around my area of Lands End Cornwall. I now find I am morphing into my main interests which are remote beaches and old vehicles so expect to see some VW, Land Rover and any interesting old vehicle action. Why not join me along the way and subscribe or not I'm not worried as it's all just a bit of fun.

@Sidchasingclassiccars I decked Brutus the Defender out with some flags and cruised around Penzance, Newlyn and Marazion in honour of their service. A lot of American forces were based in our area 80 years ago preparing for the greatest invasion the world has ever seen. We should never forget the sacrifice our forfathers made so that we could enjoy a relatively peaceful existance.

Took a long road trip ( 7 miles ) to St Ives today for lunch. Mrs Bondeye Sidney got mugged by a seagull for her ice cream but otherwise a very pleasant visit.

I made this video a couple of years ago and my little Christmas message is even more poignant today than back then. Sadly I don't have this little truck now as I wasn't using it a lot so I sold it on. I regret selling it now but lesson learned.

I have been neglecting my artwork this year in favour of photography and vlogging. I'm going to get back to doing some artwork over the winter because our weather is not condusive to being outdoors much. Looking at other artists work it seems to be a thing to show your sketchbook work so for those interested here is one of mine.

An insight into whats involved in replacing rusty brake pipes. In itself it isn't a difficult job however access is not great and you need determination to succeed.

Changed the anti roll bar drop link bushes on my T25. Another job off the "to do" list. I am preparing to re register the van in the UK after it was exported and reregistered in France.

So I swapped out the old wheel studs and replaced them with new studs and wheel nuts. Cleaned up brakes and gave the wheel a spruce up. Now time to do the other side!

I put 15" Audi alloy wheels onto my VWT25 and had to use spacers to clear the front suspension. I'm now attempting to put spacers and longer wheel studs to the rear but it isn't quite going to plan!

So today (2/7/23) there was a classic car gathering on Penzance seafront. I joined the throng and made this video vlog for you. It was quite difficult to capture video due to excited spectators but I think I did the show justice. Enjoy these classic autos from our past.

So we returned to France but this time to discover the delights of Brittany. Our recently converted Transit van went well and although it was a bit of a bus drivers holiday going from the beaches of Cornwall to the beaches of Brittany that Je ne sais quoi made all the difference.

Hello, some of these are fabulous 😊 I think that you are very brave to let us see your sketchbook. Mine is good stuff, rubbish, awful and some that just look awful because they're not finished. I'm not brave enough to show them all!
I understand. I'm quite proud of some of my work but a lot of it is not too good. Sometimes we can be our own worse critics. However even the greats like Picasso and Van Gogh who produced thousands of paintings had only a small percentage of master pieces so I guess we should not be too hard on ourselves. Thanks for your interest.

Great job Sidney, how did the French react to a mad Englishman talking to a camera?
I did get a few funny looks but kept the dialogue down a bit.
I didn’t think you seemed too nervous mate the video came across pretty natural. Some times when I’m recording if I’m a bit nervous for whatever reason I’ll talk a load to camera and just not use the footage. Try walking down the street and talk about something you have loads of knowledge on like tell the camera about you car or something. Then that’ll warm you up. Don’t include the warm up in the video and then start the actually dialog after that. 👍

I saw all these air churning blades up front. I thought all non aircraft engines spin clockwise looking from the front of the engine ? The orientation of the blades tend to tell me your engine spins anticlockwise ? Have the blades been fitted wrong or is it the video that is back to front ?
