From what ive heard this was meant to be released after john wick 3 and the story timeline takes place right after john wick 3. The original plan was that it was gonna be a spinoff show or movie where John takes 1 of the Ballerina Assassins of the Ruska Roma under his wing and helps her achieve her personal life mission of avenging her family who was killed when she was just a girl which lead to her being sent to ruska roma and turned into an assassin. It then went into pre production hell and they pushed it back and decided to turn it into a prequel spinoff that takes place before john wick 4.

All i am going to say is that Abby is for some of us a villain character that you are forced to play as at some point and that she is a golf player. For those who know know. You are in for a real nasty treat those who have no idea about the game.

My cousin was killed on his way back from seeing John Wick opening night by someone who was racing so these movies are always sentimental. Because of that I never want this franchise to die as so long as if they keep the quality. I never got the chance to talk him about the first one but I know he became John Wicks biggest fan that night. I can’t believe it’s been a decade this October!

Of course Agatha walked the road before... and won... and did it on her hands... while playing the trombone... and only speaking in Esperanto! Agatha never lies! She loves doggies too! 😝

But that's probably just wishful thinking on my part. 🔸 Since you mentioned MIDNIGHT MASS (2021) but didn't mention director Mike Flanagan, who I adore, I felt a responsibility to say his name for you. 😜 Yes, do more of these. And don't listen to naysayers... always watch and make your own decision. Of course, Francis Ford Coppola's BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA (1992) is worth seeing. It's actually a love letter to early cinematic techniques in addition to a stylized retelling of the lore.

Winnie Holzman is far, far more the true author of the Wicked musical. I think Maguire is in the discussion only for legal reasons. His series is far more anti-family, generally cynical and pushing the boundaries of obscenity than the musical. It's greatly unfortunate that there is a rerelease of the novel with the movie. Most people who try reading the novel hate it and it may even cost the movie some viewers. Also, in no way is the NC-17 (or worse) novel suitable for children of ANY age. Unlike the novel, the musical is accessible to most people, keeps the story reasonably PG, and ultimately gives us characters we can root for, including an heroic Elphaba. IMO there's no one remotely likeable in Maguire's novel. Elphaba, in the novel, is almost a sociopath she's so selfish and cold. And, despite several tries, I've never been able to find even a single through plotline in the thing.
