Could NOT use the Lennon original. Tried multiple times, multiple versions. 😂 Just too strict with Beatles copyright. So used this cover, and covered this one. Same chords, and subtleties, just key change with capo.
It sucks when they so that. Artists need to stop being insecure about the covers! And yes i know its more of a record label deal but still.

Yeah man, you can't cover the Beatles cause they pounce on you in an instant. One thing you can do next time is make the video, let it get blocked, then dispute it. If they don't respond in 30 days you automatically win. I've done that several times, most recently with my Bark the Moon cover I posted on Friday. Also, good job on your cover my friend.

Sometimes I like to do things "outside the box" and try new ideas. Taking songs with no guitar, and creating my own guitar improvisation and arrangement. Helps with learning to get better at figuring out by ear, getting creative, getting better at lead fills etc. Plus I do like other genres like synthwave, Electronica etc. Now I'm just adding guitar 🎸
