    Just me back again, I'd suggest strong UV filter and regular scrubbing of aquarium surfaces. Fish TB can cause this. For me it started with 1 then snow balled, in the end it killed all of them including fry. So I'll never have guppies again as here they seem to have it. The bacteria can also colonize the tank btw.

    Eventually the leaves that are submerged will go to wilt and start melting. It will throw roots and anything that makes it above the surface will continue to grow. But I have never been able to get more than 2-3 months on a submerged one before they begin showing stem rot. I have successfully glued clippings to rocks and submerged them until they start to throw roots. Just to add foliage to a tank. Once they do set roots I then take them out and pot them in a rim holder.

    Make a video in two or three years please not in two or three months. Of course anything can survive under flood water or in the wet season high water but even adult trees eventually die in a newly made lake. My experience with pothos is that once you get established roots growing viciously fish do eat the WHITE new growth roots without any deaths. Some species of fish eat it more than others. I kept the indoor plant sold as bamboo alive in water for almost two years before it eventually died. The bamboo was not actually growing .

      I've been trying different house plants the last few months. I found that you CANNOT plant a spider plant in gravel and have it fully submerged. I have a snake plant piece that broke off so I tried planting it in a 55-gallon with it going from gravel to 4 " above water. I've seen no change in months. I've had pothos with leaves above water in both my 55-gallon goldfish tank and 29-gallon tropical tank. Leaves look equally good in both although goldfish have eaten all root runners while roots extend up to 4" on the topical with small fish. Given that some clipping are 3', I may want to plant the roots causing some leaves to be under water, but still having a foot outside.

      I basically don't. I will occasionally get some of the gunk off in the dirty tank water that I'm removing and then put it back or I put a little bit of some other filter foam/ceramic balls in there that I pack myself. You can actually pick up little media bags that you can fill too. But that is where a lot of the beneficial bacteria lives and you don't really want to keep replacing that in order to keep your tank stable.

    Males prefer females with an inconspicuous color and a colorless tail. If, in addition to these females, you also have females with a colored tail, they will receive less attention. Half-black females with a black tail are then completely uninteresting. To give black females a chance, I let them grow up virginal. They then grow bigger. And then they suddenly become attractive to men. Because males instinctively know that large females give birth to more young

  • @user-cu9ck8gk9w
    @user-cu9ck8gk9w 7 месяцев назад

    If you want a strong stock of guppies, have a permanent breeding group and put all the offspring in a different tank. If you let the sexes grow up separately (separate by sex within 3 weeks after birth!) you will have virgin females. This is useful if you want more offspring from a particular male (new or from your breeding group). Because you put them with two or three virgins... And only when the females are pregnant do you put them in the breeding group with the male.

    Ill never keep endlers or guppies again. In my country (Aus) they seem to be carriers of a wasting disease. I delt with it for few years before I fully tore down tank to move and decided on no more guppies. Had tried everything for parasites. Nothing worked. Metronidazole, dimetridazole, formalin, fungus cure, wormers. So Im pretty sure it was either mycobacteria/fish TB, a virus, or blood parasite. It also spread way faster in hotter water and cardinal tetra was oddly immune. Had 2 in QT tank and all 25 endlers died (1 year ago) and the 2 cardinals lived and are still alive.
