gun expert, game enthusiast
I've been a firearms researcher for about 10 years and love finding out about obscure, bizarre prototype weapons and other oddities. I also enjoy games where firearms are depicted in a mostly realistic manner, like Tarkov, STALKER GAMMA, and Insurgency. I'll be covering a lot of different real-world prototype firearms as well as using my expertise in video game challenges.

The time the US made a REAL Warhammer 40k BOLTER
Warhammer 40k is a massive franchise, and with the new release of Space Marine 2, more people than ever are looking into the franchise. The main weapon of the Space Marines, the Bolter, is also getting a lot of attention in the last few years. But no one has covered this real world, 40k bolter! The US military made some strange prototypes in the cold war... but this easily takes the cake.

Don't get CONFUSED in TARKOV - ULTIMATE AK STAT GUIDE
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.Месяц назад
Tarkov has some of the most accurately depicted firearms in video games. It also has a LOT of AKs. Everything from civilian models, exotic models like the AK101, and the modern AK12. With the recent release of Tarkov PVE for all accounts, a lot of old players are returning and new players are joining. We'll take a quick look at each of the rifles in Escape From Tarkov to help you more easily id...
Neuron activation upon hearing the PDA
That's the goblin in black ops 6. If only it fired 3 rounds at once.
good vid, interesting and entertaining. keep it going, this just showed up on my feed. good luck to you
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GODS
dont let activison see this
Baru tahu 👻 Just found out😅
Why does that look like the old *Duck Hunt* gun from Nintendo
That's not 3 AK rifles put together. It's a bull pup so nowhere close to an AK.
That PDA alert made me look for the new stash
Yuck
Looks like the aug steyr's grand daddy 😂
it also has another 4rth hole under the first 3 underbarrel shotgun?
Styr og😂.. Proud Philippines
Thats some fallout shit if I’ve ever seen it
That’s a very crude receiver design. Where’s it supposed to eject, into your face? How crude!
GET OUT OF HERE STALKER
Thought that was AI for a second
imagine how heavy it would be assuming it shoots 7.62*39. I have a polymer ar pistol in 7.62*39, and although fairly light it feels twice as heavy while loaded (which is nice in a wat as the recoil is substantial and I'm not brave enough to risk putting a pistol brace in it).
Hmm people did witness it. Pretty sure it inspired the bolter.
This looks AI generated
@warriormarine2012 it does, but unfortunately, it's real. the 2 hand pistol grip doctrine looks abhorrent and the weapon looks incredibly fragile
That marine’s face looks like he just got done eating guts. 😜
Thank God that abomination got forgotten about
What is the music used in this video?
@SOX_drawing I use the free RUclips audio library music, the song from the intro/first few minutes is Barge by Gunnar Olsen
Yeah I'm not sure I buy this one. Looks like some AI fuck shit
Wait are you GDF? You sound just like him
@niewiem2606 I'm not sure who that is! I can't even find 'GDF' on anything. Is he on RUclips?
@GrexGuns yeah he's s political RUclipsr, GDF mainly talks about israel lately
@niewiem2606 Ah, that makes sense. I shy away from politics on this website lmao. but no, that is not me. This is my first RUclips channel, honest. I have no idea what I'm doing
@@GrexGuns but you have to agree y'all sound similar lmao
@niewiem2606 lmao, we do sound somewhat similar. I don't think it's super close, but that's probably just because I'm used to hearing myself from inside my own head lol
OH YEAH AFTER THE AMERICANS COPIED THE GERMAN STG43
@donwalsh4445 Are you referring to the MP43? or the STG44? To my knowledge, the US Military never copied the STG44 or MP43/44.
@@GrexGuns sorry i meant the mp43 hitler denied the gun so the germans change the name to machine pistol 43 and snuck it by hitler as a pistol. once hitler found he was furius but oked it because it was so good and name it stg44 now to your knoiwledge the m16/ar15 is a copy of the stg 43/44 by the us military
@donwalsh4445 I understand the mistake! I just wanted to make sure, since there are a few minor differences between the two. But, that being said, the AR15/M16 is almost certainly not a copy of the mp43 or stg44. I can not think of a single similarity other than that they are both assault rifle style designs. The ar15 uses direct gas impingement with a rotating bolt, whereas the stg/mp use a long-stroke piston with a tilting bolt.
@@GrexGuns the m16 trigger group pivot the way the stg 44 does the pistol grip the itermediate cartrige, the select fire all copied the us was fast to drop the m1/m14 and copy the stg44 EVERY ARMY COPIED IT it is the best stg ever oh by the way it DOES NOT JAMM LIKE THE M16 DUMB WHO WOULD FORCE GAS INTO THE WORKS THEY FIX THE M16 WITH A PISTON
@donwalsh4445 i thought you might have been serious, but you're obviously taking the piss. All of those features, except the trigger group disassembly, are features of assault rifles. Intermediate cartridges were not something invented for or special to the stg44. The M1 and M2 Carbines were in an intermediate cartridge. The M2 carbine also was select fire. The Thompson and the BAR had select fire. The Thompson and the Grease Gun even had pistol grips, too! These must be related to the STG in some way.... But seriously. The Ar15 is not a copy of the STG. Nor did that many militaries copy it, as you say they did. Were some inspired by it? Most definitely. But the AK-47/AKM were not copies, nor was the AR15. The US was quick to replace the M14 because it sucked. And the STG44 can jam just like any other autoloader. As a matter of fact, the STG was documented as being fragile and jamming easily.
And here I was expecting the ociw
200% more gun
Forgotten Weapons should be looking into this.
Looks very futuristic for 1945
Actually it fires one varrel at a time, like a minigun.
@jamesliu8095 Unfortunately, this isn't the case. This weapon is a traditional closed bolt weapon that uses a single, albiet large, breech block and gas piston for all three chambers/barrels. It was physically incapable of firing one barrel separate from the others unless some sort of malfunction occurred. This is one of the many shortcomings of this incredibly bizarre design.
12.7mm or .50 cal must be comically ineffective as an explosive delivery device. Even the 25mm from OICW was considered underpowered.
It has nothing to do with AK rifles wtf
lol check out the Barret SSRS 30mm Automatic Grenade Launcher.
"how should i hold this new rifle" "Ya gotta teacup it like a revolver OF COURSE!!"
Definitely absolutely a horrible design. Cursed Weapon.
Under-firing, bull-pup, 5 shot, revolver, shotgun piston that can also fire rifle rounds is basically a Borderlands gun.
Lol
The PDA noise makes me tweak every time, lol
Its my ringtone and it gets me every time
So its a worse lmg?
Bullpup and “highly accurate” aren’t words that go together
In what way would moving the action back affect accuracy?
@YourLocalZombie He's slightly taking the piss, here. Bullpups are in no way inherently inaccurate, nor inherently accurate. The reason I cited it would be more accurate is the barrel length. This is debatable and depends heavily on the barrel quality itself. Some reasons bullpups may be less accurate under certain circumstances are: 1. if you are using iron sights, bullpups have a shorter sight radius and are harder to be precise with. 2. bullpup weapons usually do not have good triggers unless the mechanics are very well designed, so the stiffer trigger affects pin-point accuracy for precision shooting. This is one reason most successful dmrs are not bullpup weapons. Tl:dr He's over-exaggerating the effect of the trigger not being directly attached to the hammer/striker.
*If you want an Autogun analogue,* there's two I can think of. - One is a fraken-gun that's essentially an 8mm Kypberpass Mauser AK. - The HCAR which uses .30-06, pretty beefy still.
Great find. Can't believe with all my research and knowledge in Military History and Sci-fi / 40k enthusiasm I missed the CAWs. The oversizing on 40k weapons comes from the models which are made in "heroic scale" to accentuate small details for a particular aesthetic when viewed from a distance or the closeness we usually get to on a figuring. This has translated into the artwork and it's not just weapons, heads, hands, and feet are likewise distended in this manner. The way I put is the Space Marine's version is ".75 magnum", the Sister's and maybe some smaller variants were not quite so oversized, destructive, or complex, but can still nearly tear a person in half in one shot. But still, of course, even readjusted for size it's still a ridiculous weapon, but what else for the galaxy's 8-foot tall super soldiers.
Reminds me of the Gilboa Snake.
Why are the sights so tall?
@secondarytrollaccount666 Russian weapon designers seem to have far less emphasis on ergonomics than the rest of the world. A lot of their sights produced for Kalishnikov pattern rifles sit REALLY high up. Sometimes, you can't even get a proper cheek-weld with them and instead have to put your chin on the stock. TL:DR I have no f*cking clue
Didnt the military just announce a gun that usses .75 calibur or something like it
If I use it to warm borscht does it generate stalinium
Yeah, the Bolters are kind of realistic. It's pretty cool honestly. It's a lot more down to Earth than most people think as well, as some 40K writers who don't understand how guns work or who watched too much Dragon Ball Z will make Bolters seem very over the top, but in reality aren't actually as insane as it sounds. Still pretty great of course, but yeah. Something which we could totally make today if some fan who knows how to gunsmith actually wanted to. People have made stuff like the Assault Rifle from Halo and other such stuff in real life, so in the future I don't see a real life Bolter couldn't also be made by dedicated fans, given that we basically already have the blueprints and rough sketches, as well as the benefit of hindsight and gun technology evolving since it was first designed.
@spookypepper6900 Yeah, they make a lot of sense for the sort of engagements that Space Marines get into. But, for us Earthlings? It's a bit much. Mostly the size, as even though text documentation states they are .75 caliber they look closer to like... 40mm in scale. I'd love to see someone make a functional one, though! Self-propelled rounds wouldn't be as expensive to produce as they used to be bafk when this weapon was being developed, so it might even be viable once production gets tooled up. The difference with the assault rifle from halo is that it's legitimately just like an f2000 with a screen in the games lmao. But I get your point. Thanks for the comment! It was a good read.
So ill miss 3 times each time 😂😂
so sexy
