I did everything I could possibly do wrong when dropping in- hard to imagine that was 6 broken ribs and a bunch of ligament damage. Glad I’m generally not as silly now.

It's so good. There is riding, then there is having fun. Personally, Maldon is where I go to be happy. This is also the easiest trail - the rest are harder, but not that (I am going to kill myself) hard.

Hey mate, yeah you can- it’s super easy and has a sealed road. Probably one of the best places to shuttles as you can beat riders down. There are some guys that put on shuttle days and we always go- they are such an awesome crew. Search for Maldon MTB Shuttles group on Facebook.

@@shawndurraniau and it looks like you can camp there. For the 1 hr trip, I can't believe I haven't been there.

@@davidwhite9817 It's soooooo good! My favourite for descending - just for those reasons (easy shuttles, can camp, not busy, amazing rough trails, nearby, etc)

Thanks Will. I’d love to get back and ride it with a DH bike... as well as the proper VDHS track bunting. I had no idea what was part of the track...!! Maybe next year I’ll have a go.

@@shawndurraniau make sure to get a GoPro clip so you can see how much you improved. I’m gonna post a video on it soon since I just got back from a trip there.

Yeah, I've tried a couple of lines and completely failed. Then I saw one of the semi-pro riders hit and they went above that silly root in the corner and made it look easy! Doh!

@@shawndurraniauI did a few times at Xmas and managed to get it right. I came in high at the first root and then dropped in tight to the inside of the corner from there. I saw you and had a chat halfway down the top part of Hero when I was there last.
