How Did Honda Manage to Beat Ferrari?

Back in the day, 'supercar' was a title bestowed upon wild beasts, untamed and often finicky machines that demanded respect, fear, and maybe a little bit of luck. These cars were temperamental, stubborn, and had a knack for turning a leisurely Sunday drive into an epic battle of man versus machine. But then, from the land of precision and reliability, came a revolution. A car didn't just redefi...

Amidst the urban sprawl and the neon lights, a bold and exhilarating statement emerged from the heart of Ba...

This is a story of rebirth, reincarnation, and reinvention. This is a story of a motor company donning phoenix feathers and reemerging from its ashes like the mythical bird. This is a story of a man’s date with fate and how it resulted in the most affordable and arguably the best twin-turbo sports car ever made. This is the story of a man’s obsession with perfection coinciding with a company’s ...
What you said here is almost word for word what it says on Aston Martin's Wikipedia article
My best buddy sold me his mother's 1997 1.9 with a five speed. Montreal Blue. 68,000 miles. She was the original owner. Love it! Thanks Scott!
Hey man, I'm going to create a channel which is similar to this but using lot of automation (i'm a developer so that is why ill use code to fasten up process). Since we share similar interest, would you be interested to join?
Video starts 2:30
Aston missed an incredible opportunity to have an iconic 911 type vehicle with which to build is future by not staying with the DB5. They still could but there is no visionary at Aston. With money of course.
“Best ever built” 🙄
Why is there a picture of a Bugatti Royale at 6:44? And why did we have to wait almost three minutes for the lip flapping to stop and the (maybe) story to begin? The thumbnail picture is nice. This is a robot voice, they are getting better, but are still magically annoying. The pace of narration (if that term can apply to a computer) is unrelenting and without the slightest bit of feeling. The fake sense stress is a lot like being hit on the head with a hammer. A thousand times.
Something makes this video very annoying to watch... too much talking, no breaks at all
No.
Absolutely, best ever
I'd go for the Z4 E89 as BMW's best ever roadster.
Innumerable mistakes, including the use of Victor Gauntlet's image to represent not only himself, but 2 former chairmen. Its needs re doing and re dubbing in proper English instead of the misprouncing American commentary.😢
absolutely in love with my little 2002 3.0i m roadster, it's caused me its fair share of trouble with an ever-on check engine light and a convertible mechanism which only works when it wants to, but i wouldn't trade it for anything else.
Check the soft top microswitch on the frame over the drivers shoulder. That usually fails.
I just bought my 97 z3 from the original owner it sat in his garage for many years of course I had some work to do but I’m looking forward to driving it soon
Excellent story about the Z3. I love my roaster! Especially because is the last year of production Z3 and is all original perfect condition. Keep on driving the Ultimate Driving Machine!
Did he say superior build quality to a boxster??? I love z3 but that is not true
Mine is slow. Thinking 302.
16:20 I believe it’s pronounced kun-tash.
and I am out here doing z3 drift build 🤣
I’ve never liked the z3 , a friend gave me one 12 years ago 2.8 , I still have it and I love it now
This channel is gonna blow up one day
We have a 1997 2.8 we bought new. It now has 108k miles. Great car. Its all about driving with a 5 speed manual and hardly anything else
Er Aston Martin DB5 or Z3? I think only one is the real classic
I still adore my 2001 Z3 Roadster. Not even the cringeworthy brown-nosed obsequiousness of this narration can change that.
Love our American cousins but a coop is sonething you keep chickens in, There is an E on the end usually with an accent above from the French ' to cut' as the coupe designation meant a cut down sleeker bodywork , So its not English but a French word pronounced coop-ay
Good video 👍🏻
I owned a 2001 Z3 2.5i, and that was my favorite car I've ever owned. I was originally looking for a Miata at the time, and the salesman I went to to find me one had the Z3 on his lot and said it was twice the car a Miata was. Boy was he right. These little cars are amazing with the straight six engine. Can't speak much for the 4 banger version. I am scratching my head trying to decide between buying another Z3, or going for a Z4 for my next car.
Same here, the z3 is more reliable than I thought, I will most definitely get me the 2024 z4 m40i, still gonna keep the z3, it’s nice driving it at night lol
Z3! For sure!
Put a smile on my face...every time driving my '98 2.8L Z3 😊
Leeds England
I think my Z4 is pretty much analogue as well. The DSC might be computer controlled but beyond that there's nothing I interact with other than the clock and trip computer that's digital. I also think the Z4 nailed the looks better than the Z3. The z3 is a cool looking car but it looks a bit twee. It's also way to high given it's length. The z4 is lower and longer and looks far more like it means business. Both cars will be classics. The Z4m Coupe will be crazy valuable. The Clownshoe M also. Luv and Peace.
Z4 looks terrible compared to z3
I prefer the z4 by looks, but can't shake jeremy clarksons words of it being a swinger car😅😂
Design is a personal preference thing. I like the kidney grill on the Z4, but cannot get past the tail swoop or the bangle z in the side panel. The angles just aren’t as sublime as the curves of the Z3. I’m happy with mine and happy you are happy with yours. See you on the road!
I love my 2.2
Hi, talk to me about the 2.2 please. I'm looking at getting a 2.2
love to drive the z3 m coupe with 321hp
this will be a classic car in 20 years from now. its a masterpiece.
in 20 years? It's already a classic! Heck, the oldest ones are over 25 years old now. That's vintage status in America!
The oldest ones are 1996 so 28 years old. It already is a classic
Ours has collector plates lol
Ive had 14 BMWs over 35 years and my Z3 was the only car where I had to do a lemon law because of problems. They could never fix the roof where it wouldn't leak water from rain. They kept replacing the rubber seal above the door and after the top was lowered a couple times, it would leak.
Z4 owners all love driving in the sun because every single one of us either has broken roof mechanism, has fixed the broken roof mechanism or will very soon have A broken roof mechanism. Z4 - Amazing design everywhere except the Dufus who decided to put the roof motor in the water drainage area! WTF were they thinking? How did that pass quality control? Major Major downer for the E85 team. The good news is it's an easy consumer fix if you are at all handy. Luv and Peace.
The original 1.9L Z3 was the last best BMW car to have both a metal valve cover and intake manifold. My 1.9L M44 Austrian 4 cylinder engine and 5 speed Getrag Manual transmission is still running strong with 218,000 miles driven daily and always highway driven. Plus these cars have very reliable Seiko Seiki Japanese air conditioning compressors and all metal evaporator cores that rarely ever fail.
Is it decently quick or is it noticeably slow? I'm asking cuz I wanna get a 1.9i as it's ULEZ but don't know if the speed would be too uncomfortable
@@gameadventures1 It’s slow as hell with an automatic transmission thats for sure but with the 5 speed manual transmission it’s much better, smoother, and more fun to drive with, but it’s not quick like the German inline 6 cylinder engines. But on plus side the Austrian inline 4 cylinder engines have less plastic parts under the hood and no stupid vanos system. If you want smoothness and quick speed at the same time the German inline 6 cylinder engines are a better choice for you.
180k miles on my 2.5i
216k miles on my ‘97 1.9L Auto.
224k on my 04 z4 2.5i
'PromoSM' 👍
The editor did a phenomenal job with the research and sound design. Bravo.
You should tackle the e31 next!
Very nice video. Thanks for the upload
Nicely done video. Here's a clip of my 2000 M roadster: ruclips.net/video/5mEV9qzou2M/видео.html
Great video - suspect the picture of William Wilson is actually the legend Victor Gauntlett!
less effects would made it more watchable, i can play 12h videogames , but that effects and flashes i get headpain
Great video!
You describe Kensington London, then show a map of Liverpool. You mention William Wilson then show a picture of Victor Gauntlet, then George Flather and another picture of Victor Gauntlet.
And at 6:43 shows a picture of Ettore Bugatti and his type 41! 😮💨
@@sandhaug67 Not certain, but I think that's Jean Bugatti.
Agreed it was Vic! Loved the very short footage of Neil and RSW!
I was subscriber 30!
Wonderful video, the most well-researched and well edited video I've ever seen on this topic. Suprise that you are having near to no subs. Deserve a lot more. Keep up the good work.🙌🙌
