Everytime I see a notification from you and see that it's NOT a new Twilight Saga, I feel kinda sad, but after listening to the theme I forget my sadness, ironic given how sad this one is.

The streets of Orario were alive with the usual clamor of adventurers, merchants, and the occasional drunken fool. Alfia, however, preferred silence. Her days of glory were behind her, or so she told herself. The once-famed Level 7 adventurer now lived a quiet life, suppressing her strength to avoid unnecessary attention. Today was supposed to be simple: buy groceries, get home, and enjoy a quiet evening. But fate rarely cooperated. Alfia had just left the market, carrying a small woven basket filled with fresh bread, cheese, and a few rare fruits she had splurged on. As she made her way through the bustling streets, a loud crash echoed nearby, followed by the frantic sound of running footsteps and panicked shouting. "Stop running, you little rat!" a gruff male voice bellowed, cutting through the din of the market. Alfia’s eyes darted toward the noise. A small girl,barely more than a child,was sprinting down the street, clutching a worn satchel to her chest, her face pale with fear. Behind her, a muscular adventurer, clad in cheap armor, was giving chase, his heavy boots clattering against the stone. Alfia sighed. It wasn’t her business. She had groceries to get home. She turned on her heel, intent on avoiding the chaos entirely. Then, it happened. The lumbering adventurer, in his blind pursuit, barreled straight through her path. Her basket slipped from her hands as he shoved past her, its contents spilling onto the ground. Fresh bread rolled into the dirt, the cheese splattered, and the fruits she had been so looking forward to squashed under his boots. For a moment, Alfia froze, staring at the ruined food. She could have let it go. She could have stayed silent, as she always did. But the sight of her groceries, her hard-earned, carefully selected groceries, lying ruined on the ground sent a flicker of irritation through her. "You’ve got to be kidding me," she muttered. The adventurer didn’t stop, didn’t even glance back. His shouting grew louder as he continued to chase the girl. Alfia clenched her fists. This wasn’t about the food anymore. It was the principle. And the noise. Gods, the noise. She moved before she even realized it, cutting through a side alley to intercept the chase. The girl’s desperate footsteps and the adventurer’s heavy stomps grew louder as they neared. Alfia stepped into their path just as the girl turned the corner. The small girl, no, a Pallum, Alfia realized skidded to a halt, her wide, frightened eyes locking onto Alfia’s calm, unimpressed gaze. Behind her, the adventurer stumbled to a stop, clearly not expecting someone to block his way. "Move, lady," the man growled, his hand moving to the hilt of his blade. "This isn’t your business." Alfia tilted her head, her long silver hair shimmering faintly in the fading light. "You ruined my groceries." The man blinked, clearly confused. "What?" "You pushed me. I dropped my food. And now you’re shouting loud enough to wake the dead." Her voice was calm, but there was an edge to it, a quiet warning that the adventurer was too dense to notice. "I don’t care about your damn food," he snapped. "That runt stole from me, and I’m taking it back. So, move!" Alfia glanced at the girl, who was clutching the satchel like her life depended on it. There were tears in her eyes, but her jaw was set in stubborn defiance. Alfia didn’t care about the details, not yet, anyway. All she knew was that this man had ruined her day, and now he was trying to give her orders. "No," Alfia said simply. The man’s face twisted with anger. "Fine. Have it your way." He drew his sword, its blade catching the last rays of sunlight. "Don’t say I didn’t warn you." Alfia sighed. She had hoped to avoid this, but it seemed the fool had made up his mind. In a blur of motion, she stepped forward, her hand darting out faster than the adventurer could react. She grabbed his wrist, twisted, and forced him to drop the sword. A sharp kick to his knee sent him sprawling to the ground, groaning in pain. The girl gasped, her eyes wide. "H-how did you" "Quiet," Alfia said, cutting her off. She turned her attention back to the adventurer, who was already scrambling to his feet. "Leave. Now. Before I stop holding back." The man hesitated, clearly weighing his options. Before he could decide, however, a new voice cut through the alley. "Well, well. Isn’t this a surprise." Alfia’s gaze shifted to the end of the alley, where a group of cloaked figures emerged from the shadows. Their presence was unmistakable, Evilus, the cult that had terrorized Orario in the past. Their leader, a tall man with a cruel smile, stepped forward, his eyes flicking between Alfia and the Pallum girl. "Looks like we found our loose end," he said, his tone dripping with malice. "And here I thought we’d have to search the entire city for you, little Liliruca." The girl flinched at the sound of her name. "I-I don’t know anything!" she stammered. "I swear!" The man chuckled darkly. "Oh, I think you do. But don’t worry,we’ll make this quick. And as for you," he added, turning to Alfia, "it’s unfortunate you got involved. Wrong place, wrong time." Alfia’s expression didn’t change. She looked at the group, then at the Pallum girl, who was trembling like a leaf. "Evilus," she said quietly. "I thought you were all dead." The leader sneered. "Not all of us. And you’ll regret standing in our way." Alfia sighed, a sound of pure exasperation. "I don’t have time for this." The first of the cloaked figures lunged at her, a dagger flashing in the dim light. Alfia didn’t move until the last possible second. Then, in one fluid motion, she sidestepped the attack and delivered a crushing blow to the man’s chest. He crumpled to the ground, unconscious. The others hesitated, clearly underestimating her. The leader growled. "Kill her!" They charged as one, but it didn’t matter. Alfia moved like a phantom, her suppressed power leaking through in bursts. One by one, the cloaked figures fell, their weapons useless against her speed and precision. The alley was filled with the sounds of clashing steel and muffled cries as Alfia dismantled the group with terrifying efficiency. When the dust settled, only the leader remained, his confident smirk replaced by a look of pure fear. "W-who are you?" he stammered. Alfia stepped forward, her silver hair catching the faint light. "Someone you should have left alone." With a single, decisive strike, she ended the fight. When it was over, Alfia turned to the girl, who was staring at her with a mixture of awe and terror. "Are you going to keep running?" Alfia asked. Lili hesitated, then shook her head. "No. I… I don’t know what to do." Alfia sighed. She hadn’t planned on this, but something about the girl’s determination, even in the face of death , struck a chord in her. "Come on," she said, picking up her ruined groceries. "Let’s get out of here. You can explain everything once we’re somewhere safe." And for the first time in a long while, Alfia felt a spark of something she thought she had lost: purpose. The shadows of Orario had stirred, and Alfia knew this was only the beginning.
