Jim's hifi jukebox +Rega turntable tweaks

I like to think that all who are subscribed here are: exclusive members of a small intimate music club that I invite into my home and love you visiting and chatting.
Who knows, you may find some music or something of interest here that you like!
I class myself as a Music and Hi-fi Enthusiast, not necessarily an Audiophile and I am no expert.
I know any music recordings I post on RUclips do NOT sound the same as they do in real life, you are hearing my room, You Tube compression etc. If this distresses you, please move on to something else.
Most of these MODIFICATIONS /UPGRADES /OR WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY (depending on view point) were done for the fun of it, when something caught my eye, and appeared at a reasonable price.
I agree with others, that buying a better turntable in the first place would probably be better value for money and probably give greater sonic results. However, my turntable journey went the way it did.

These Kralk Audio TDB6 speakers will be getting swapped with my Tannoy XT6f speakers in the winter, for a wee change of sound.😉
The tweeter fluid replacement is not difficult it looks harder than it is. Im wondering if you replaced the capacitors on the crossovers? I did mine, rhey sounded good before and better after. If you can do it yourself i think its worth it.
@@MattMcMuff-vz2lg I know, I've replaced it before my friend. These speakers are my friends, I asked at the time if he replaced the caps and he said no, as they looked and tested fine. I told him I personally would have replaced them as it was so easy to do! Jim 🏴🙂

Great track Jim. It got me into Dr Feelgood and the album was Nick Lowe produced too. By this time Wilko Johnson had left but I would get to see him solo some 10 years later at the famous Half Moon Putney. What an amazing show from a brilliant guitarist showcasing his staccato playing like it was a Tommy gun. His eccentricities are sorely missed!

Superb Jim... I did the Dr Feelgood 'Tour' down at Canvey Island years ago... shown round their old haunts by Wilko, Gawd rest his soul 😢, then a wee acoustic session in a local pub... Great wee day... Always an under-rated band in my view...🏴👍

One of the most evocative album openers ever...😊 Went through two or three vinyl and cassette copies, countless ones I'd 'taped' onto Memorex C90's... Christ knows how many CD copies... Backing vocals by the lovely, and now sadly passed, Josie Jones who was, incidentally, The Mighty Wah's Pete Wylie's partner... Thank you so much for this Jim... the stories I could tell you from my life that have this album as it's soundtrack...😮 And one of them that stands out at our own, dear Letham Glen Park...😅...
