I’m passionate about fitness because my life pretty much depends on it… I have Cystic Fibrosis. It’s a disease that impacts the lungs and digestive system and on paper my lungs should be as useful as a chocolate teapot but… through hard work and zero excuses, I’ve turned them into a pretty good engine!

This is a horrible exercise, won’t increase strength in bottom portion, can easily create tightness and problems in your hips, also could easily cause injury
Literally does the opposite of everything you’ve said apart from the bottom portion of the lift but it’s not meant to create strength at the bottom?
It's the other way around. Use full range of motion OR partial reps in muscle's lengthened position. Please have a look at literature or other youtube videos before you hurt yourself!

Yes but also strength. Nevertheless, partials in contracted muscle position is neither beneficial for strength nor muscle growth. Please have a look at studies, literature or other channels. You would have better results with less weight and bigger range of motion

What a lad! Was lucky to train with him last weekend at the Lift club gym. I'd you'd told be he was 20 I'd not have questioned you. Such composure, class and strength. Certainly inspired me to earn my next breath.

As Jim Wendler said: "Every rep should start with the bar on your shoulders. Don't perform half reps. Your body was designed to move through a full range of motion, so do it".
I stopped doing seated shoulder press a few years ago. Personally, standing feels more natural and practical, with both dumbbells and barbells. My shoulders ache less and I feel my entire body benefits from maintaining stability through the floor.
