Out of 10, what would you give this song, be honest.

I’ll be watching these songs here, the sound choice and mixing could use a few improvements. (I will be commenting on nearly every song from here on out, I am not a hater, just a critique who hopes to be helpful. Maybe. Somehow.)

7 out of 10 It sounds like a really cool game over screen, you can get a feel for the feels and the descending melody the song is centered around is solid. My only critique is that it becomes repetitive after a while. I think if you add some somber melancholy high notes in the arcade synth chorus the song won't sound too repetitive. My approach to the chorus: To the base chord that it transitions to every loop, down into The descending chord after the base chord, that transitions up into A ascending chord with the high notes at the start and then calming down, down into A descending chord after the chord with the higher notes, retaining that melancholy, and going back down to transition into The home base chord at the start of the loops.

keep making music you have a lot of potential. ive been making music for 14 years dont listen to people giving you advice about how certain things sound right now the more music you make you will learn that yourself and you seem to be on pretty limited tech atm the main thing is that the idea is really good. if you end up getting a better DAW than garage band my advice would be get Ableton live because i think it will suit your style better than FL studio.

I know it is a stupid question, but how long would it take to learn and compose this kind of music for a dummy? I.... Just have a wish to make a bgm alike for a 16bit retro game. Thanks for your advice.

probably an 8/10 imo. it's well rounded, and it sounds kinda mysterious in a way. i like the bass on this one, and the melodies go together well. i also think the outro works great. the drums could probably use some more variation if i were to say, though it's more of a preference than anything. no other criticism, good song.

ngl, probably an 8.5/10 imo. the repetition didn't bother me as much, as i think the melody had a lot to it and it was nice hearing it play out. the song feels aggressive and sort of menacing, and i liked the addition of the bells. i don't really have much criticism for the song, though i do feel like the drums could've been a bit more aggressive to suit the style. i enjoyed it quite a lot.

probably a 7 out of 10 imo i like the harsh tone of it, it pulls off the panicked feel pretty well. the high pitched piano almost sounds as if it were saying "oh no", and the echoey instruments make the listener feel surrounded. it sounds kind of screechy in a good way. i personally think it's cool, though a bit repetitive for my taste. also found this video from the paranoid video and i plan to listen to like every song lol

(apologies if it looks like i'm reposting my comment, youtube seemed to shadowban it on my end? idk) coming from a fellow garageband user, i'd say it's somewhere around a 6 and a 7 imo the song feels slightly off in a good way, and i do like the instrument choices. the main melody sounds unsafe and cautious, and i love whatever the echo effect is when the chorus comes in. it's solid, though i personally felt like there was a lack of change outside of the chorus. looking forward to seeing more of this though. keep up the work!

7/10, enjoyed it very much actually, pretty good composition, idea and it's sound, but has a few things that bug me a lil bit. The drums are very repetetive and sound just a bit out of place and too i guess cheap? dunno how to put my thought into words. Synths on the other hand are great, and even though it's obvious you made it in garageband it does achieve the good uncomfortable feeling really well. very nice job, will definetely wait for album in january

don't know why this showed up in my recommended but I really dig the vibes. Im not sure the process of making the beats in garage band but the drumkit beats sound sort of... hesitant, like they're dragging notes in parts of the loop. The beat itself is very nice it just throws me off a tad. I believe it's around the "3 and", just some syncopation in between the 3rd beat and the and. Unless it was on purpose, since it made me feel "paranoid" lol

I’ve been making music for about a year (three years if I’m counting random weird songs I made in my free time), so I’ll give my opinions on it. My main problem with it is that it is way too repetitive, and that it just feels like a few sounds are being pulled in and out instead of new verses being introduced. I also feel that the bass is a bit annoying, and some of the notes feel like they are not lined up with each other. Besides all of that, it is pretty good. I’d give it a 4/10.

As just a regular song, probably a 4. The song sounds a bit off, mainly due to the off putting beats on a song with such a slow BPM. Song would probably be a 7 or 8 for a creepy level in a 2D indie game

As someone who's been using fl studio for 3 years, I give this a 4 or 5. The lead synth sounds out of place, but the drums and bass synth are actually pretty decent. I believe if the harmonies were a bit more strategically placed, and a few changes in mixing, this could be a lot better. It has a lot of potential. The song, despite being a bit discordant, is a bit charming in a way. If you keep making music, you'll be making great stuff in no time.

7/10, could do some work, but for garageband, thats really impressive.

Good this, good atmosphere in lots of it to be in a film or video game aswell. Its got a hint of something trying to chase you which is cool. 8/10
