YB Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah di Majlis Perasmian acara Kuching Old Bazaar yang berlangsung di Carpenter Street.
Thank you for the documentations...
Great documentary I enjoyed watching !! , I didn't know much of Kuching Atap Kai`s history eventhou I am literally just here my whole life. These episodes captured scenic views of Kuching from different POV and city's perspectives. The narrator shows such metaphorical appreciation to life.
Good storytelling... keep it up. 😊
Ends of 1990s i used to go to TONG TAI shop not far from the chnese tmple. I like talking to the twins rdio tv mchanics. Now no more
where is the hidden teo chew steamed fish place at the end of the video? @13.31
Its so sad to see Sarawak looks like this
Kuching is such a unique and special city in many ways. We have been here four times already. I recognize many places seen on this very interesting video . We always stay at the Lime Tree Hotel. The Rajang River trip is a must . I prefer Kuching to kota kinabalu. Take care.
its kinda sad that the producers only featured the men's pov. women were totally ignored in this entire series like they did not exist. obviously the producers are tone deaf and promotes male privileges. is this how kuching treats its women? i guess so. women arent part of the city's development.
I'm from Sarawak, exactly why is so sad, because of Peninsular Malaysia greediness, life is better if they ain't taking our stuff from us
didnt know the layout was copied from singapore. so, kuching is the forgotten child of singapore 🇸🇬
Georgetown, malacca, taiping, ipoh, kuching... still maintain most of their old bazaar.
This brings back memories bro thank you!
My mother inlaw lip chiang.
my UNESCO World Heritage...
When I was a kid, my dad used to take me to this shop/kopi tiam to eat their famous big pau. (juicy chicken pieces and hard boiled egg inside). This was in the late 70's. I have no idea where it is now.... ahhh those wonderful memories.
Bazaar is an Arabic term, it is used in China (Xinjiang), Middle East and Africa.

非常棒的视频,让我们这些古晋土生土长的在外游乡能回顾童年曾经走过的时光,期待下集可以介绍婆罗岸的历史回顾。感恩制作此记录片的团队的贡献。谢谢你们🙏🙏🙏
This body of work - all the videos - is really important. An honoring. An invitation. I am heartened and look forward to my time in Kuching’s Old Bazaar. Thank you.

在影片中看到5个月前往生的姐夫官德琼中医师,好怀念姐夫。谢谢您为我们留下我敬爱的姐夫的记录。🙏🙏🙏
I never fail to visit these places whenever im in kuching...tq for preserving it
breathless
更因为疫情关系,这一年来,老巴刹这里我看到不少店商都关掉了
Hope to see a series on Pandungan road. Hope I spelled it correctly.
Good to hear the vanishing Chawan Hokkien dialect from one of the old uncles talking about the Japanese
Thank you for creating this Video. Very beautiful
Very nice coverage on the Kuching history
Bring back fond memories Thanks for the sharing
i made the painting of the map~ :D
Lovely memories of my home town. Please preserve as many of the old buildings as possible. There are far too many new shopping centres being built and then abandoned, sadly.
thank you for the preserving the culture, great job guys!
0:35 為什麼要放五毛在茶內?
Amazing history
Bring back my memories. Thanks
Grew up in the area, granny used to have a bicycle shop next to the 大观台, it was demolished in the 90s, Anyone still have any photo of that?
I remember the famous ah chuan chicken rice near the old capitol cinema..one plate rice after another..midnite morning shows.

Kawan baru hadir menyimak...
Kuching is paradise on earth where all the hawkers delegate their lives and efforts to do all types of food from the different dialects Teochew Hokkien Hainanese Hakka Henghua and Foochow at affordable price. Most hawkers will start preparing their food in the early hours of 430 am. They pride themselves to make sure their customers enjoy the food. Another unique experience in Kuching there is racial and religious harmony among different races be they Chinese Malay Indian Dayak and other indigenous people. Muslim and non Muslim mingle in harmony. IN some coffee shops the halal and non halal stalls coexist and serve their customers in great harmony. Let all of us live and thrive in Kuching notwithstanding the challenging times
super good. Thanks !
Very interesting, look forward to Episode 2.
Nicely done, good job
