nao entendo ingles tenho uma phatfilder 3.0 ano 1994 em brasilia brasil.
The coldest I had ever started my jeep was 0 degrees in PA winter. When I tried to drive it, my oil pressure gauge pegged all the way to 80 and the check gauge light came on. I had to let it warm up for about 20 minutes before I had normal oil pressure . What does your oil pressure gauge say on these cold starts?
Mine has the same rattle from the lifter literally for half a second and goes away. 224k
The rattle is the exhaust heat shield, as far as I’m aware the tapping is the hydraulic lifters, and it might have a misfire.
This is awesome man, i bought an automatic one a few months ago for 1000. Non running and stinky as hell. But i fixed those problems and now all thats left are electrical stuff. Anyways keep posting about it cause i love how these look.
That is awesome man! Good job getting one back on the road. I can't believe how slept on these little trucks are. There is NO content on RUclips about them. I do have some minor electrical issues as well. And thanks man, I will keep it up!
manda em portugues po favor
Cold start jeep is running
it still goes fast on the highway with the 40 series, loved the sound,i already bought my xj cause i seen a flowmaster 40 video, but first i went with dynomax super turbo which gives a mean torque and nice sound, then went and hooked up the borla muffler which is loud with smooth and deep rumble, now about to install my floowmaster 40, its the meanest sound, like a lion
@@billpower-j2d Nice man. I ended up muffler deleting after the flow master briefly, and then put on an MBRP before I sold.
@@Free_Range_4x4 yeah the mbrp is nice, get the catback for full force and great sound so is banks monster. did you find the flowmaster 40 made a heavey drone sound on the highway, i mean i love the sound of the revs, but i will see and test how it does while driving, i also have a flowmaster high flow cat on, its nice
@@billpower-j2d Honestly not matter what exhaust you go for it will drone in some way. The 4.0 just does that
@@Free_Range_4x4 yep the xj is a baby truck, like the commanches! amazing tough & built to last
great buy! also always wanted a white car and never had one haha, looks good.
@@BRollOffroad Thanks brother! Can’t wait to see you get going on some more adventures whether it be skiing or in the Xterra.
Sounds nice! ❤🙋♂️
@@V8AmericanMuscleCar Hey V8! I sold the XJ 🥲 Had a cracked head and couldn’t afford to fix it.
@@Free_Range_4x4 I'm sorry to hear that. I hope your situation will improve soon.
@@V8AmericanMuscleCar It already is starting to! I’m looking at a WD21 Pathfinder (Terrano) today
Impressive but not a good idea to over rev a cold engine like that, very bad for the engine in the long term.
Agreed.
Delta Flow 40 Series or Original 40 Series?
Original 40 Series
@@Free_Range_4x4awesome. Thanks for the reply!
The engine isn't going to like not having a muffler. Air to fuel ratio is important for your engine to run properly. Without a muffler the air flowing out of your exhaust will likely run too rich with fuel and eventually the extra fuel will clog up the o2 censors, the cat, the MAP censor and the spark plugs. Once this happens the computer can get out of wack trying to correct the issue which will make the engine run real rough from time to time, could even cause you to have difficulty starting while hot or stalling out while idling after a hot start. Look up Jeep 4.0 heat soak or vapor lock. Besides being illegal and obnoxiously immature to intentionally drive without a muffler you could actually screw up your engine. No skin off my back though, the more people that destroy their XJ's out there the higher the value goes on my 100% stock low miles rust free XJ. I guess I should be thanking you. All kidding aside, if you throw a muffle back on there your 4.0 will thank you. Good luck.
Did some research…you have no idea what you are talking about. 3 cats won’t make the fuel run rich. Vapor lock happens when fuel atomizes in the fuel rail from high engine temperatures. None of that has anything to do with what comes out behind the 3rd cat. Plenty of people run muffler deletes and nobody has issues from them. You came off like a real dipshit too.
Wow
Hello there, could I use a fragment of your video for my coldstarting compilation? Of course I will put a link to your original video in the description, increasing the original’s popularity too. Thanks a lot for you answer in advance :) Were these 4.0 I6 throttle body injected or multipoint injected?
Go ahead! This one is MPFI, but earlier models used a Renix system and even earlier models with the carb I believe were throttle body. Thanks!
@@Free_Range_4x4 Hello
I wish my diesel sounds so good! 😊
I’d take the 2.5 in yours over the 4.0 every single time. So many of my favorite creators like yourself and Workshop Wilderness Adventures have the 2.5…
Gotta love the XJs… I have two.. They are sort of twins… Like Danny Davito and Arnold.. One lifted and the other one stock.. Same color and year and classic package..
Haha that’s awesome! What a dream. Oh and hey… 2024🇺🇸
LOL same, except the stock XJ is my father's.
Nice little xj
Thanks! It’s currently being restored and will be wrapped soon
Jeep for the win
✌🏻
Goddamn that things like a diesel
With the right exhaust setup they sound reminiscent of a 12v. This time though it was being jumped so the voltage was low, and the fuel was so thick that it ran hella rich at first.
