I’ve really enjoyed Chi-Yu as an initial carry. Nothing is immune to fiery wrath (90 base dark spread move with flinch chance), and its ruin ability drops all opponents’ spdef by 25%. Pair that with power spot + helping hand boost (stonjourner is so good! It gets gravity too.) and you don’t need to set up to KO resisting types. I’m transitioning to a mold breaker with a spread move because sturdy has been annoying me, but I have to get a particular egg move on my excadrill before I can take advantage of the easy start. Depending on accuracy rolls is why I dislike kyogre. I don’t have a fast gravity user.

edit: Staryu Illuminate and Bouncy Bubble. Water Stone for Starmie shouldn't be that hard to find in early levels. I found another potential good multi-hitter. Poliwag, egg move Wildbolt Storm, passive No Guard. No Guard acts like a lure, you can check the game mechanics. Wildbolt Storm is your multi target move. It's 80 accuracy but No Guard negates that issue. It's not as hard hitting as some better carries, but more frequent double battles might allow for more efficient candy farming with mons that can't do much dmg themselves. Unrelated, currently farming for Pyuku, which definitely needs the double battles and carries for farming.

Endless runs don't take anywhere near 44 hours to complete, many first clears are 16-36 hours and grinding is 10-18 hours per run. Being off by a factor of 2 or 3 absolutely ruins all the calculations in this video

Honestly, I haven’t had any trouble with the evil teams so far, even in my mono-type challenges. I’ve defeated team Magma, team Aqua, Giovanni, Cyrus, and Ghetsis so far without it being too difficult. In my opinion, the evil teams battles are meant to check how sturdy and prepared your team is, and in that regard, you should always make sure to have a team that is as balanced as possible. Don’t sleep on tanky / bulky Pokémon, and moves like leech seed / sappy seed / protect / parting shot, etc. My best example is my mono-fire run. My MVP was BY FAR Magcargo. Yes, you heard me, Magcargo. His passive is Desolate land so his fire attacks are boosted AND he’s immune to water attacks, and he has access to Shell Smash, with a base Defense of 120. With only one cost reduction, Slugma costs 2, so… 👍🏼
