Nibbi on my TW200 and top speed run
Quick rundown of Nibbi carb install on my TW200.
Used the 118 main jet that came with carb.
Starts up and idles better than stock ever did.
Power is comparable. Hard to be sure more or less because I haven't rode this bike much last few years.

Which Trek bike is the Zenoah on? Which bike is the Honda on?
Lovely kittens :)
How far can you travel on gx50 on flat surface?
About 18 miles going flat out at top speed. Not recommended on hot days. My GX 50 is no longer in service and needs a rebuild.
im currently building my own fron bike berry. the clutch seems to engage at idle, any ideas to fix it?
Will it work on a single speed bike?
It could but a smaller drive roller would be advisable so you can get up to speed and handle hills better. I only use 2 gears on my bike. Occasionally a 3rd. Best would be to get rid of the rear cassette and just use a front derailleur.
@@joeycottontail943 single speed no cassette but only gear is near frame that interferes with something according to your and other videos
Can one be installed on 20 inch bike?
It probably could but may require a little more work like re-drilling holes in the “U” bracket and shortening the strut pieces to accommodate the smaller wheel. May also have to find way to attach the struts to frame because 20” frames probably don’t have the holes to do it. Even with 26” and 29” frames it can be iffy whether you can or should use a friction drive on them.
I've tried so hard for over a week to call staton I can't order anything through any other websites it won't go through
The link doesn't show anything
Looks like they aren’t selling them anymore. Sorry about that. I’ll try to find another link to them. Cheers
Good job. Your bike looks great! There's nothing like riding a motorized bicycle. I ve built 3 of them all 4 stroke 2 with 35 one with 50 cc Chinese Honda copies. They all ride great. I'm getting over a 100kms on a liter average with little pedal assist during hard accelerations only. That's about 250 miles to a gallon ;)
That’s great fuel consumption. I just finished another build with a Zenoah g43. It’s getting 140 miles to the gallon and that’s cruising mostly around 30 mph/50kph with some cruising at 35+. Not sure why this engine is faster and using less fuel but I like it👍. I still have my Chinese clone 50cc and was using it while building the Zenoah. It’s a solid reliable heavy slow beast. I like it still and it’s never let me down. The Honda GX50 is too expensive and I suspect they’re let down by the carb jetting being too lean. Mine quit running and I still need to tear it down to check it out. The new Zenoah has hit 47.6 mph on a downhill!! Ride safe.
What size spindle did you use for the Honda GX 50?
1.34” largest they have
How many cc are the engines?
Honda is 50 and the Zenoah is 41.5. Don’t forget the .5
Those aren't legal in Iowa. They're considered mopeds and require license registration insurance And a huge flag.
Land of the fee.
could I ask you about the noise level? The Zenoah sounds louder than the Honda?
It is louder but slowing down a bit really helps quiet it down. Sadly the GX50 is no longer running correctly. Need to disassemble and check it out. I think it got hot from the epa mandated lean running.
@@joeycottontail943 ok, thanks for the info, I purchased a goped GSR46R and originally wanted to put a Honda GX35 on it, but after watching your video and info, I will purchase the Zenoah G43.

hey where did you find this used for sale? ive been looking for some. and what was the price?
I randomly stumbled upon it at a garage sale. It was like new and was 1k after haggling. They’re great fun but also maintenance intensive. Always check everything over before riding because some of the issues could have led to serious crashes.
@@joeycottontail943 damn really? what parts require maintenance alot, the engine? i wouldnt think the frame or other parts would since theyre downhill mtb bicycle parts which are made to be rode hard.
@@exchangAscribe rear shock failed in a big way by snapping in half which led to another issue by having bike fall over and bend crank arms. Leading to multiple chain alignment issues. No spare parts for that. Bearing in rear swing arm failed completely while riding. That could have been catastrophic if I was going fast. Carb needed replaced. Original rear tire is soft and wears fast. Nobody makes tire that size any more Luckily I found a couple at bike shop. Battery went flat and it was brand new lithium. I think electrical has a drain. Easy to leave key on if your not careful because there is no light to remind you. It’s a laundry list of stuff after not many miles.
@@joeycottontail943 damn thats crazy, im just trying to figure out whats reoccurring, cause i haven't heard of much problems like this from any other reviews besides the pedals being finicky
I got a bike and a friction drive kit from ebay its a 43cc 2 stroke have a gx50 clone coming too. Need a way for the left bar that comes off the axle to mount it has a rear disc brake and it's in the way.
I’m not sure how you’ll get it to mount. Currently I only have rim brakes but I’m going to do a disc brake friction drive soon and hoping to make a how-to video while assembling it. Good luck with the bikes. The GX is a nice engine. My GX50 stopped working and I suspect it’s because they run lean for emissions. I haven’t opened and looked inside yet. Cheerrs.
@joeycottontail943 ya my bike has 2 discs and I need to make the bar an l shape to miss the caliper
Hey dude, another awesome video. I was wondering if you're running that setup on aluminum or steel frame bikes? I just bought an old Trek 7000 mountain bike and am freaking out a bit now after doing some research on aluminum bike frames cracking. Have you had any issues like that?
No issues with frames cracking. I have only been using cheap or middle of road aluminum frames. Biggest issue is rear wheels breaking spokes and getting out of round. I have to replace rear wheel every once in awhile. I don’t bother fixing cheap rims when I can find a used one cheaper. I also will take my engine and kit and swap it over to a fresh bike after about a year or sooner. This probably helps with not having frames crack. Hitting potholes at 32mph really is brutal. Often it will loosen up your quick release and you’ll have to stop and clamp it down again. I find the 26” wheels to be more durable than 29” and 26” frames are easier to fit a engines on. For record I weigh about 175ish and often have backpack with LARGE chain lock with groceries etc. We’ll call it 190ish all together. I feel frames will exponentially crack with every pound added. Cheers
Do you still have it old love to buy it I’m in LA/OC area
Still have it and not currently for sale. Maybe next summer. These are very very fun rides but also maintenance intensive. Something is always breaking so be very careful to check out well before buying. 3 times I took it out and 3 times in a row had serious malfunctions. Rear shock snapped in half, bearing went out on rear swingarm…very scary and chain fell off when crank arms came loose. Been on street 99% with only a few small jumps.
@@joeycottontail943 jesus christ do you think those part failures are common or just yours in particular?
@@exchangAscribe I lean towards common. There’s a reason they didn’t really catch on.
I would love to know where you found the yellow gas tank.
I got it in a box of stuff when I bought an old dirt bike and they threw in some boxes from their shed. They pop up on EBay. Couple months ago one sold for $125 with shipping. It was listed under Windsor Peanut. Has no company name stamped on it. They made several styles but this one is the most slender and still able to pedal with it.
@@joeycottontail943 Thanks for replying. I will be looking out for one.
Where did you come up with that yellow gas tank? All I can find are the cheap stamped steel gas tanks for motorized bike kits.
zor
Hey, how did you hook that gas tank up to the engine? Do you actually use it for gas while you go or is it just a spare gas tank?
I just refill my container and then dump gas it into the small tank attached to engine. Works out nice for rides longer than 40-50 miles otherwise large tank is just extra bulk and weight.
Would u happen to know the size or dimensions of that air filter? I ordered the wrong one unfortunately. Lol
Sorry I don’t. I replaced carb with a Nibbi and tossed the originals in garbage.

Thanks👍 still liking your videos but I can’t keep up watching them. How you pumping them out so fast?
Tabby!
what kind of Gas itz used ? 40 mph is FAST zzz.
Zenoah is gas/oil mix and GX50 Honda is straight gas. Honda isn’t running after about 3k miles and the Zenoah I replaced with identical engine after 9k. Easier and cheaper to replace than repair. Takes 30 minutes.
how much de engine cost
how much oil mix for full tank
I mix in approximately 3.75 ounces to a gallon. Comes out to 34:1. It says to use 40:1 which is using 3.2 ounces but I go slightly rich because I run full throttle for extended time.
whats that nice thumb throttle you've got?
It’s just the plain Jane index finger pull throttle from Staton-inc. For how cheap it appears I have yet to break one. Has a very light pull but will numb my hand after an hour. Much prefer it in cold weather over twist throttle. Winter gloves slide while twisting.
That 20 mph Zenoah sounded about right…
sweet windshield - what did it come off of? only motorized bike I've seen with one thus far - thats probably quite nice to ride.
it's just a cheap ebay amazon motorcycle fairing. It does nicely to keep sun off my phone but unsure if it does much aerodynamically. My next build is going to run something a little sturdier that uses mounts from the mirrors.
I'd love to buy one too! 🤘😁
If I come across one I'll message you. I only need the one I have. Takes 5-10 minutes to switch between bikes.
If you set the drive spindle where you want , and jam a door stop between the housing , it will prevent the spindle from turning, which will allow you more control over the grinding wheel.
Thanks! That's a great tip and so simple. I get in too much of a hurry for my own good sometimes.
Whered you get the yellow tank?
It was tossed into a bin of parts that I received with a basket case dirt bike. Turned out to be best part of deal. They pop up on Ebay occasionally but you really have to look by utilizing different search words like "desert, vintage, peanut" There is no name marked on it. Good luck

'Sweet. i may do that. I want to relocate the killswitch on my Zenoah to the handlebars. It's on the motor and near impossible to push when riding.
link for staton kit please that fits gx35 i am unsure which is the correct one
get the 76mm clutch rotor with 78mm drum. You just have to decide what size roller to get. Not sure a GX35 has power to pull the 1.34". You may have to use the 1-1/8". Guessing 1.34" will be fine but I've only used 1.34" and never had GX35. www.staton-inc.com/store/index.php?p=product&id=305 Depends on many factors: how fast you prefer to ride at, how hilly it is,your bike, weight and fitness etc Good luck and have fun.
Why do you call it a daystalker? Motoped only ever had 3 models: Pro, Cruiser, and Survival.
Just having a little fun with the Motoped name. Not a bad name but has a bit of a connotation. Just ordered a Nibbi carb for it to see if I can smooth the idle out. Check back in couple weeks for vid if you're interested
I can’t tell is you have a quick release , will these go on my 27.5 hard tail mtb ? Do those bars the engine stands on work with quick release axles
Will work just fine on a 27.5. And yes the rear supports are on a quick release so you can lower and raise the roller on the tire. I should have showed more of it. Doing a detailed video of full build soon. Thanks for question. Sorry for slow response. Been snowing here and working on my car.
The best advice anyone can give about those friction-drive kits is, DON'T EVER BUY ONE!
Sour grapes Jerry must have bought a trash Buttberry kit. Next time put a little effort into it and search Google. If you're lacking funds to buy proper kit then just get a bus pass and enjoy the cauldron of hate on wheels we call public transportation. Almost 15K miles on my 3 setups and all engines and kits still function. Best advice I can give to people about internet haters advice, DON'T EVER BUY IT! Even when they mark it down to half-price and try to sell it again the next day...still worthless.
@@joeycottontail943 unfortunately i ordered one from bike berry before doing more research, won’t be able to get my money back. are they really that bad ? ;(
@@BubbaomwLive and learn. Yes they're useless trash. The clutch bell will snap in under 50 miles and so will a replacment. I was curious and bought one lightly used and wish I still had it to compare all the components to Staton. Only redeeming thing I got from Berry was the HS49 China motor.
@@joeycottontail943 shit, i am homeless at the moment and was gona use this as my transportation. that was my last bit of money, so i am upset about that.
@@Bubbaomw Sorry that sucks man. Think of this as time to build up those leg muscles while you scrap up for better kit.
How do you go about fixing a flat on one of these setups with a friction drive on the back? Do you lay the bike on its side? I'm sure flipping it upside down wouldn't be a good idea if it has a four stroke on it so I'm curious if you get a flat out in the middle of nowhere, what is a good way to fix the flat? Great video!
Great question. I try to find a grassy area preferably sloped to help avoid possible gas spillage and lay it on the left side then go from there. The tanks on Zenoah and GX50 seal well so it's not an issue. Upside down down don't work for me because of phone and mirror on bars. After getting wheel back on I stand it upright to get final alignment. I haven't had a flat since I started using Muc-off in my tubes so I recommend using that stuff. Been months without a flat so it has more than paid for itself already in time and patches. Using quality tire especially on rear can't be emphasized enough. Also luck helps. Cheers
@@joeycottontail943 I appreciate the information my friend! I have a Huashang 142F 49cc Four Stroke and using a Staton Friction Drive. Hopefully, I won't get any flats! I will have to try the Muc! Take care!
@@SolarReturn1966 No problem. Thanks for the question. The Huasheng is a durable motor with some character. I love catching air with it 😂 because it's so heavy. Fixing a flat with that engine and external tank on the top bar will spill a little gas unfortunately. Ride safe.
Very Helpful comparison, i bet the zenoah's high pitch noise can be silenced down to honda levels using a silencer and custom cowling (with proper air flow for cooling of course (like the old aircooled VW vans )
Thanks for telling us.
"Take THAT neighbors" lol ....but noise doesn't seem THAT bad really but ive only seen zenoah's in videos.... So im wondering how much MORE torque/powa this will have over my old 25cc suby 4-smoke(staton Friction drive ) i the best feature of the lil suby is low noise level and mpg but im always wondering how a high performance 2-smoke would feel/sound on my 61' Raleigh Twenty neighbors be damned lol
Suby is a keeper for sure to cruise and chill on but if you want to get there fast and you got hills then the Zenoah is faster. Cruises at 30mph and it really isn't hi performance. i would say it's a perfect compromise between performance and reliability on a friction drive. Too much more zip and you're going to eat tires unless you're really careful. If you like immediate neighbors then pedal off to start the bike down the street in front of the kid's house with the wannabe Porsche shitbox without a muffler. That'll teach 'em...maybe.
@@joeycottontail943 thanks for sharing your experience.
