The only way to test if the Pet & Livestock HQ Cattle Prodder is working is to place the prodder on the buttocks of your livestock when you find managing, feeding, etc. challenging. We do not recommend testing it on yourself as this product is suitable for livestock only. We do not recommend testing it on your livestock unless the behaviour warrants it.

The ideal range that we suggested is 90-250 mg/dL or 5-13.9 mmol/L, and the Pet Control HQ Blood Glucose Monitor detected range is from 20-600 mg/dL (1.1-33.3 mmol/L). The numbers that fall out of this detected range will either show Lo or Hi. However, if you continuously get test results lower than 50 mg/dL or higher than 250 mg/dL (or 13.9 mmol/L), we suggest you should seek professional advice from you Vet.

If your Pet Control HQ collar is flashing a continuous green light it means that you have accidentally unpaired your collar from your remote. The collar in an unpaired state will not work with your remote or your dog fence. To pair the collar please follow these steps: - To pair the remote to the collar please press the Plus and lightning bolt buttons at the same time (top left and third from the top right) until the numbers on the screen are running and with remote antenna touching the collar next to the green LED light press either buttons 1,2 or 3 until a beep or 2 occurs. - Then press the Plus and lightning bolt buttons at the same time (top left and third from the top right) until the numbers on the screen stop running. The collar should now be paired. To Test: - Please press the button 1,2 or 3 on the remote (whichever you paired the collar to) and then press the vibrate button (second row down on the right). If the collar vibrates then it is paired. Please find a video attached on how to pair your remote to your dog collar.
