Old trick - Update BIOS using floppy disk

That was a slow but efficient era !! One floppy disk only 1.44MB that holds the flash utility, old BIOS, new BIOS, and the system files make it bootable. good question, but the skin resolution is pretty low at the time. with comparative high resolution modern monitors, the skins look small :(

It looks like that Client Configuration Disk was no necessary after all - I wonder in which way it would "configure the browser" of the clients and when it should be used? Maybe it is just a meta-component that when installed, ensures TCP/IP is active and Automatically obtain IP?
that's right. client configuration disk is not required as long as TCP/IP and DHCP client is working on ICS client. It will be automatically assigned IP address and default gateway and DNS address which is the ICS "server" address. You can also manually setup the addresses, just in case multiple DHCP servers available, the client cannot get the correct IP address setting from the ICS server.
usin virtual box 7.0 and it refuses to work, the patch9x seems to only be installed on a:/windows/system rather than c drive or d drive. getting same issue with windows/system must lead directory it also kills itself after I try to change the patch9x boot to 98 se
Just in case, did you install Windows 98 on the default directory c:\windows ? if you installed Windows on other directory, you need to manually input the location at 02:38 then continue. Good luck!
yea I did manage to fix it because I kept putting the boot img on the virtual floppy drive instead of leaving it empty, but it works just fine now so thanks.
I wonder how the shutdown sound triggers the animation of the wallpaper.
Windows "Active Desktop" allows the animated wallpaper which is not available anymore.

Millennium may be the worst Windows version, it is still in my opinion the 3rd most aesthetically pleasing of all the Windows.

i was gonna troll my friends with this by having discord open in the web browser but it seems like it just doesnt work. is there any way to access modern websites like discord, youtube etc.?
seems an impossible task for me. but in Windows XP you could still access modern website through some old version browsers, but it will be a security concern, not recommended.
is there any way to make the skin i chose be default for when i open a sound file? it opens up windows media player legacy but i have to go and put the skin on every time for some reason.
The player will remember the status before it was closed. So, you can directly close the player when it was playing with the skin (click the "x" on the skin ). Next time, when you open a sound file, it will start up with the skin. Also you can use "Ctrl + 2" shortcut keys to fast enter skin when player is playing normally.

Not Linux guy, :) but the software do support Linux/Unix partition

I found a sweet P4 ShuttlePC, back in 2k5 I wanted one at CompUSA but out was a Crazy $$ MediaCenter PC. Trash Picked one, it has everything, SATA/IDE: I want to use this mgr to make a Win3x/9x/Xp/32bit Linux Box. They I tend to also always make a "SHARE" Partition in my projects like you did in part one. Keep it Up! Throw in some Commentary

:) It is very natural for people to compare this 2 things, actually, they are in different worlds. Form DOS/Windows user's perspective, this tool was amazing, provided some great disk features looks impossible in the era.
this was the very first theme that we had on our PC. I thought the sounds were obnoxious and the screen saver was creepy as wel. A dark black background with random people appearing and strange loud sounds, I didn't even knew what the hell this sport was in the first place.
this was the theme that my father put on our PC... nostalgic. Never liked it to be honest.

ALSRACK, a player for ALS100+ ISA sound card, but can use with other sound card as well.
