Had some questions about the stuff I'm using to shoot with so here's a quick video. Pls enjoy this super awkward video and don't forget to dislike. I promise to only post match videos after this one. Also a quick edit: A USPSA belt set up with a holster and 3 mag pouches would be around $245 from Shooters Connection. That being said it's still a cheaper set up to get started than my current bel...

Always preferred production. Good shooting man. Gen3 17?
Gen 5!
the only good looking production shooter i've seen
:')
Bros shooting abilities are maxed out😂
Hahaha thanks bro! Always have room to get better tho
Pretty sure thst a light is ruled as an optic
Per the USPSA rules, a functional flashlight is allowed in Production division, but this match was held as a Hit Factor match and not USPSA
@thesquintyshooter Ah ok. I shoot IPSC, so the rules are probably very different
Nooooo, there's no one left in production anymore lol. Nice shooting, good luck in CO. How long does it take you to shoot that match with 206 shooters, and how big are the squads?
@@jonathanfrost944 it was a two day match, I shot on Saturday and everyone else finished up on Sunday. About 15 per squad with 7 squads per day
Those last 4 targets... nice. 🤌🏿chef's kiss
Nice! nothing fancy! interesting that theres no grip tape or silicon carbine on the actual grip. My gen 3's are slick as hell without some grip tape
@@bardonut I do use liquid chalk when I compete haha
Nice! One for one on steel is always such a good feeling:)
👏🏻
Cruising with iron sights! 🤘Bravo!
BIG RUclips guy
@@Henderson_A17 I hate myself enough leave me alone
How did you get into competition shooting? Did you know someone that guided you in? I'm interested to give it a try some day, but don't see myself just signing up without knowing anyone.
I was lucky enough to know a guy on the Air Force Shooting Team and found out about USPSA through him. I'd say go for it, as long as you have your basic weapon handling down and can be safe on the range, pretty much everyone you meet at a level 1 match will be there to help you out. Check out Humble Marksman's video "Thinking about a USPSA match?" for some good info on how to get started
Just show up, I did my first competition a few months ago and knew nobody. Just tell whoever is in charge it’s your first match and they will make you do a safety briefing and run you through the rules/etc. I would say ask to squad towards the end of the lineup so you can watch everyone else go. Another word of advice is be helpful: help with setup, paste targets, etc. from my experience, everyone was very chill and more than happy to talk shop, give advice and let me check out their gear which can’t be said for many sports
@@davidl5080 Thank you for the advice.
@@thesquintyshooter Thanks for the reply
Support bruder ❤
What classification are you in production?
I made M last year but then my membership expired and I haven't renewed so now I'm an X class hero haha
@ making m is awesome. Congrats. I’m stuck at b seemingly forever. I enjoy your videos. Cheers.
@@jonathanfrost944 B class is the hardest one to break man! It took me forever too but keep at it and you'll get there
@ 👍👍thanks!
Quick edit: Shooters Connection belt setup with a holster and 3 mag pouches is around $240 not $140, but still cheaper than my belt.
Nice shooting! What class and division are you?
@@biker1958 shooting production until next year, I let my USPSA membership run out last year so I’m holding it down in X class haha

I didn't know weapon light is allowed in Production
@@johnremcastro yea, USPSA changed the rules on weapon lights I think last year
0:41 was a sexy one handed
I want start doing some local IDPA comps but not sure what group I'd fall into if I use a Bul Tac Pro? Would it be carry optics, open or production? Which one do the sweaty's normally do? Don't want to get totally embarrassed, ha.
Not sure this is USPSA
@@designated_hitter_EGA What would that gun be in USPSA?
@@thedude54 in USPSA that would fall under Limited Optics unless you have a compensator, then it would be open. If you sign up under the wrong division it’s no big deal, they’ll be able to change it for you and most guys I’ve met at level 1 matches have been super helpful to newer shooters
@ appreciate the info. Thanks.
Well you’ve almost learned how to shoot steel with irons
@@Henderson_A17 very hit or miss you know what I mean
@ funny guy
You did good just using iron sights

Try and find me out there dude!

OEM trigger and about 30k rounds through the gun!

@@Henderson_A17 steel is the bane of my existence fr
PCSL? Rifle only match? Why don’t they do this in my area?
Can you do a video or short of your grip? Do you angle your thumb a certain way with your support hand?
@@SoMuchFlavor for sure!
Can someone explain to me why you guys train by exposing yourself to multiple targets? It makes zero sense to me why you wouldn't want to move around the corner and take targets one at a time.
I swear bro like he would have died in the first few seconds
@@Soviet_union643 Not just him, i’ve seen hundreds of other guys on youtube training the exact same way
No problem! This is not training, it's a competition where score is based off of speed and accuracy. Because it's a competition, I am choosing the fastest way to engage the targets accurately rather than the most "tactical" way. There are other competitions that may require you to shoot from positions of cover, but this is not one of them. Hope that answers your question!
The style of competition he is shooting is USPSA where speed and accuracy is king, not cover and concealment. There is a shooting competition style called IDPA that emphasizes cover and concealment. USPSA is about runnin' and gunnin'. USPSA is more fun than alot of other competition styles out there.
Seems like steel is your worst enemy 😂 Next match lets see 1 for 1 on all steel! I think that's a good goal for sure.
Absolutely! I am lacking on my visual patience
Whelp. You cured any thoughts I had of ever shooting production. JFC.
the challenge is what makes it fun hahaha
Ive done worse.
me too unfortunately
Im indoctrinated “I was like stop shooting the white guys!” Edit: Because of uspsa don’t cancel me.
More visual discipline with irons
@@johnminn5549 yes, visual patience is something I’ve had to work on
I kind of feel bad for how much I laughed watching this. Definitely the iron sights fault though.
