The KPBC Anthem
It’s not a very well known fact that the intro theme tune to our videos on RUclips, is in fact an original piece of music written, played and recorded by us! It was however, only ever supposed to be a 26 second clip which had us thinking… what could we come up with if we stretched it out to a full length song?
So a few months later we finally pulled our sleeves up and had a crack at finishing it!
Here is the full song in all its glory!
We are super proud of it! We hope you enjoy the song as well as a the video montage of some moments from our videos spanning the last 4 years.
Please help support what we do by downloading or streaming it from the all the usual places like iTunes or Spotify ...

KPBC @ Dalby Red at night on an e-bike!

I’ve not really had a proper ride out on an e-bike, so I borrowed Phils Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 action team and big ass light and decided to take on the full red trail at Dalby Forest on my own AT NIGHT in November!! What could possibly go wrong?! 😜

I visit family in Scotland every year and they live a stone’s throw from Glentress, but I’ve never thought to take time out to go riding there just because I didn’t want to haul my bike all the way to Scotland! So I looked into hiring an e-bike. “E-bike Hire Scotland” are situated right at the Glentress hotel literally at the entrance to Glentress so it seemed the perfect place to hire one of t...

Two weeks after our last visit to Rosedale and the North Yorkshire moors, we decided to go back to check out a ridge line we saw running through the middle of the Rosedale valley. There’s no obvious footpath to get you to the ridge but that’s never stopped us before, if we can pedal there, we will! It turned out to be a great day having a root around the whole area, especially as we rode some r...

Of course it’s going to feel different to a full fat EBike when you are coming from 300/400% assist and 600w peak power and 85Nm of toque. The TQ is only 200%, 300w and 50Nm, so never going to satisfy a full power EBiker and I don’t think that’s who it’s aimed for. It’s aimed at non EBiker who wants a bit of assistance on the climb which a bike that doesn’t feel much different to the standard Slash.
100% agree, it’s completely dependent on what you actually want from an e-bike. The Slash+ is a great handling bike but I personally thought there wasn’t enough assistance to make me invest, but for anyone happy with that level of assistance, it’s a fantastic bike
I've just put a deposit down on a 2023 pre-owned Rail 5 after 25 years on various analog mtbs. I can't wait!
Good man! The rail is a bike you can depend on 👍🏻
@kpbikeclub1318 Awesome!
done this route one the same bike earlier in the year its a great ride mine was in day light Kept it a bit tight with the light hope you had a back up Great video thanks for that
Love a good nightride. I did the blue earlier this autumn. Dalby is a great venue at any time, but it really comes alive after dark!
What phone is that ? Im trying to find out if the 14 pro max will fit and also will the 16 pro max (bigger ) fit ?
That’s the iPhone 14 Pro. I’ll measure the max opening of the mount and come back to you
The mount will expand to 100mm
@@kpbikeclub1318 many thanks for this , means that anything up to an IPhone 16 Pro Max (77mm wide) should fit the holder 👍
Love Glentress great trails and a great video Thanks lads
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video of a wonderful venue. The Tweed valley have worked out that mountain biking is very good for the local economy, "build it and they will come!" Pity the same can't be said for Coed y Brenin. Keep up the good work lads!
It is indeed a special place! 🙂
Y no puedo cargar mi móvil mediante un cable usb C conectado al puerto usb del Led Remote Controller?
You have to purchase the specific cable from Bosch. It has a unique connection socket into the smart mount unfortunately
Frankly, once I get into the Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge, it takes a lot to get me out. Great real ale and superb food. But Rosedale is stunning. Bransdale and Farndale are also fantastic.
Must admit, we got settled in Lion with a pint, a butty and some of their homemade chips and we could have happily stayed there for hours! Great pub! Really busy too considering the location. Love the area to be honest, really need to explore more on the bikes 👍🏻
Hi. Do you have the route or strava link for this please? Looks ace!!
Hi, I don’t have it at the moment but hopefully this will help you find the start of this trail. It’s officially called ‘Loose on Lewis’ and the easiest way to get to it is to park at Allerston village and bike up the hill next to the pub there, keeping left when you come to the split in the road. It should take you 10 minutes to get to the start. If you use What3words then search for this; ///december.grub.smuggled And yes, it’s the BEST off piste trail in the Dalby area!!!
@kpbikeclub1318 much appreciated!!!
I did this trail recently on my hardtail in my profile picture and it absolutely killed me when i got back to my van but i enjoyed the pump tracks and the trail. Keep up the good work lads
@@Oltbwat.123 thank you for the feedback! 😉

Cheers for the route files. Looks a good ride out

Great video guys Love the HUGE penis at the end!🤣
What camera are you using
@@davidstamper5501 We are using GoPro’s, I have the Hero 10 and I believe Kez has the Hero 9
Great video, new sub 👍 just wondering if you know where to park in Allerston. Thanks
We usually just park in village but there’s not much space, and then ride up the side road next to the pub on main road
@@kpbikeclub1318 Hi, good vid. I was wondering as I want to go and check these sorts of trails out sometime as we always park near the visitor's center usually. So, at the x raods you go past the pub (on the left), then up that track. When it forks, I take it you go up the right track? How far is it along there to the trails roughly. Cheers. Subbed.
So you park at Allerston village on A170, then go up the road to the right of the pub (Cayley Arms) which on map is called Warren house road. Keep left as you go and head up the hill. You’ll eventually see the ‘Loose on Lewis’ trail on the right hand side as you climb. The start (on the right) is at the point where the road starts to leave the trees. If you carry on up the road, and ride past the Warren House campsite, you’ll eventually find a left turn into the woods. Follow this path round for a while and eventually you will find the quarry. At this point though, it’s quite hard to explain how to find the Monster munch trail. It actually runs down the side of the quarry (in the woods) so if you can find the quarry and get to the top of that, you will be close to Monster munch. Hope this helps? We will in the near future be making a video that goes into more detail on how to find these off piste trails etc so stay tuned!
@@kpbikeclub1318 thanks for that will be giving a try soon 👍
@@kpbikeclub1318 Legend. Thanks for taking the time to explain. I will definitely be heading up there. I mainly rode the red route in Dalby for fitness and want to try some more technical/better stuff. Thanks again m8.
but wait what's the holder already installed on the bike?
This is a new adapter that holds a smartphone that clips onto the existing bosch Kiox mount. Some people prefer the smartphone display alternative over the Kiox as it can display more detail in the Bosch screen, plus you can use 3rd party apps such as a navigation app etc. Hope this answers your question? 👍🏻
@@kpbikeclub1318 yes thanks
The holder is part of the Bosch Smart System which comes with the bike; it is integrated with the bike's electronics and is controlled by the remote control by the left grip. Normally the Kiox 300 module that is shown at 4:00 clips in there -- it receives information from the contact pins on the holder and can be controlled by the buttons on the remote to display speed, drive mode, etc. This mount integrates your phone into the system as an info screen instead of the Kiox, plus the app adds a bunch of features.
i think i will stick with my quad loc as i ride alot of enduro/ downhill
Did this a few weeks ago on a gravel bike. Not recommended. I pretty much walked all the way from the field with the large holes all the way to Lilla's Cross. Note to self, maybe an eMTB is a good idea 🤣
Yes agree, I would not entertain some of this route on a regular bike! It wouldn’t have been as enjoyable. EMTB opens up so much more options for you, it gets you to places where you wouldn’t normally adventure to 👍🏻
What camera were you using here mate? Also what settings did u have it set to?...cheers...great vid by the way
It’s a while ago but I think it was GoPro Hero 7? Not sure what the settings were either, sorry. Look for a video by Skills with Phil as he made a good video on GoPro settings he uses for when he’s riding Whistler etc

Hi, any chance you could let me know on a map 🗺️ where about’s in wykham woods this is? I’ve been stopping at St Helens in the Park for years never took our bikes 🚲 but tomorrow we are… and would love to know some routes up there! 👍
It’s difficult to describe… hope this helps: GPS Coordinates: 54.287168479948235,-0.5534633632658768 This is a view point in Wykeham. Park there. Then follow the main path down the embankment from there, you can’t miss it. About 30m down it on your RHS is the start of what we call ‘Sharon Stone’. This gets you in the right area! Everything else is either below this trail of off to the left / right. Unfortunately last time we were there, the Motor Cross twats had chewed up a lot of it. They are good at that, being twats!
If you go up the hills facing Ampleforth school there's some good black trails, and its not as boggy
Thanks mate. Yeah we’re definitely going back there so will scout those other trails out 👍
Great vid. Thanks for uploading. How you doing with distance/hours/elevation on a full battery? I`m surrounded by hills of up to 1000m and don't want to get caught out. Thanks in advance.
Difficult to say really. I typically do local bike park trails and off piste, so a fair bit of climbing but not exactly mountainous! I probably average about 20 miles for 40-50% battery consumption? That’s a mixture of mainly Tour+ and EMTB modes. Hope that helps
Thanks a mill. @@kpbikeclub1318
Why would you ride the blue before it's finished... Not fair on the people who put all the time and effort in, especially as most of them are volunteers.
To be fair, it had been ridden by others before us (could see the tyre marks) and we would not have ridden it had it been partially finished, we spoke to one of the Forest staff there and he said that it was ready and actually now needs some experienced riders on it to pack it in, they just didn’t want inexperienced riders on it who might ride over the edges etc. Of course we appreciate the hard work that’s gone into it, the build guys have done an amazing job!
Must be mad this time a year 😄 I've walked this with the missus but not been on the Ebike up the cinder track and Cleveland way, certainly made for entertaining viewing however 😄
We didn’t expect it to be as muddy as it was, especially on Cleveland way, but certainly won’t be doing that again! Glad it was entertaining to watch 😉
Overall, it's a boring ride.
Mint day lads Roll on september
What i find so annoying is I've never had an ebike I've ordered my first the cube same as yours but not a clue on how they work and there is no video's actually showing how these work with the motor's its like you should know haha! I have seen one 10 second video of the chain ring doing a quarter turn on its own so that's all I know maybe you could make a video showing the way they actually work im sure it'll be more than just me looking for this type of video! It would be great to see how they work exactly I've had to actually buy one to find out crazy lol
Hi sorry for the delayed response. It’s an interesting point you make! As you say, not everyone understands how an electric motor works, and some can feel quite different to others. All I can say is, you have to ride one to find out! I started by hiring an e-bike and doing a demo day by Trek on the full power motor vs the super light motor to gauge the difference for myself. So glad I did as I was adamant I wanted the SL but after the demo I realised it wasn’t for me. I just wish the big brands did more demo day’s especially in a wider range across the country as they always seem to focus on the same areas that are not always easily accessible by everyone.
Hi there I've be trying to ask a couple questions on the cube action team 160 you got i ordered mine yesterday just wondering does it come with peddles and are they rubbish or not to bad? And the grips i will be changing don't like orange but the bikes so well specked for the price be nice if they gave an option of the black or orange 38 forks! the reviews have been good to watch happy new year
Hi! Sorry for the delay in responding. The peddles it comes with are naff and you should replace them with what is your preferred peddles. It’s not usually expensive to do that. The contact points between you and your bike are very important! (Grips and peddles). I wasn’t a fan of the orange fox forks at first but they are actually really nice in the flesh. The colour doesn’t bother me now at all, really like them as they are not the norm.
I was pretty much set on going to get one them saw that dredded word i totally avoid like the plague "Carbon frame" no thanks not for me after seeing the shortcuts made to make them lighter no wonder they snap so easy now
I have two carbon frame bikes, one a Santa Cruz Nomad and a Cube Ebike. Both of which I’ve never had an issue with. I suppose if you were a rider who sends it large, big jumps, fast enduro DH etc, then maybe that’s a concern, especially if you were to crash it, but for my style and intermediate level of riding, that’s probably not going to be something I need to worry about. These bikes are pretty robust, it would likely be me who breaks first! 😉
I’ve got a cube ebike fella. If I’m going down hill and not peddling I get no resistance..it flies. Touch 40 down a decent hill. Bought it at beginning of lockdown. Best thing ever. Makes hills a pleasure 😊😊
Love mine too (Cube stereo hybrid 160)! No complaints whatsoever
So my question is what do I have to do to join the KP bike club? Seriously!! I'm a relatively new rider, pretty crap with a lot to learn but eager to improve and judging by the places that you ride we can't live too far away from each other.
Hey! Sorry for late response. Whereabouts you from? Find us on Facebook as messages a bit easier to see and respond to via there. Can certainly meet up and enjoy the ride!
Full credit for ploughing through. Well done! Looking forward to more footage.
Nice video. What light are you using?
Hi, on the E-bike I have a 3300 LUMENS CREE Bike Light from Chilli Technology: www.chilli-tech.com/3300-Lumens-Bike-Light Fantastic bit of kit and half the price of the equivalent lights by leading brands like Exposure. Although I do use an Exposure Diablo on helmet which is pretty darn good too. Only issue is, can only get a couple of hours from the helmet light on full blast, so since I got the Cree for the handlebars, I can dim both down one setting and get much more time from them.
Got the last one in Evans Nottingham a week ago for half price. Only been out a couple of times but it’s brilliant and turbo makes me laugh every time 🤣
It’s such a buzz! 😂
How's cube compared to trek rail?
I prefer it in most ways apart from I wish I had a 29” wheel up front but it’s not a regret, more an opportunity to make it a smidge better. The cube is a lot cheaper to buy too 🙂
@@kpbikeclub1318I have the same bike changed whole new front end to a mullet setup and what a difference it makes grip2 damper 29er up front is definitely the way to go good luck One thing get rid of that plastic top cap they are garbage
Greetings,.Great bikes, I bought the same one three months ago in Croatia for €6,000, there was some kind of sale on that model for €1,000, only I got mine with a black fork, not orange, really interesting, the only thing that doesn't suit me is the seat, these days I ordered a new one, wider for longer drives, because the original one is horrible, after 40 km on it, I can no longer sit on my bum because of the pain,(normally I drive about 70 km per day with only 50% battery in the mountains, I only use trail mode over 90% 🤪) and another thing that annoys me is that it is limited to 25 km max, because after that the engine provides resistance that is not very pleasant ,Since I have a lot of fitness, I want to ride that bike faster than 30 km without engine resistance, and as far as I can see, I will have to put some chip in it that is not legal 😮
I highly recommend the Nukeproof seat on mine, very comfortable and not a massive ugly thing! Only cost about £35 too.
Excellent video , where are these found is there a trail map ?
Thanks! Most of the Dalby OP trails are marked on Strava, the 1st & last trails on the video are nearer Allerston, the edge of Dalby.
@@kpbikeclub1318 thanks will have a look ,
Great video as always
Brilliant. How u finding the 27.5 wheels would u still choose them over 29 ?
In all honesty, I can barely tell the difference. I’ve been riding 29 up front for years and was in two minds that this was the right choice with 27.5 on this bike, but I think because the tyre is so wide and there’s plenty of weight and the bike is well planted as a result, I don’t think it matters. I’d heard some reviews saying the front end was twitchy, but I’ve not experienced that at all. It ploughs through roots and rocks with no issues at all 👍🏻
Either you have some killer audio settings or the motor is very quiet!
Tbh, not messed with either, must be a fluke! 😆
