Buckthorn has been largely removed from our lot without the use of any chemicals. A massive re-sprouting will soon follow requiring additional mitigations. I used a chainsaw and clippers to remove large established buckthorn trees and bushes.

Yes very good number one China!
I was gonna watch the rest of the video but then you said chassis like some white girl that’s never seen the word- actually it’s interesting I’m gonna keep watching it
You want me to say it like a French girl instead Spencer? Chas-see. Merci.
Så halt så det knappt är kul längre:/
No oil?
Definitely positively mixed fuel. And oil added to components during assembly.
One of the best songs ever! Sugar is delicious!❤
Never throw your VHS tapes away! It would have been lost to history.
Just got mine running last week , picked it up for 100 bucks . Cleaned the carburetor. Runs like a beast .
Looking for a rebuild kit myself.
I was able to find one on ebay pretty easily. However - after I ran this saw I didn't see an improvement and I'm thinking it's time for a rebuild on the top end at least. I'm going to go over it with a fresh eye Sunday and I'll know then.
@@Daninater keep us updated , I picked one of these up for a 100 bucks . Strong compression , put a little fuel down the spark plug hole fired up and ran for 5 seconds . So I no it will run
Can not believe that saw is running again. they told me it was not worth fixing because it was over 40 years old and can find parts anymore.
I think the bar is shaking a bit
I would agree that needs addressing asap.
Excuse me for the "L70" text on the screen. I can't edit it and the video went live. L77.
Not a car guy at all so what is the purpose of this
This is actually a muffler from a chainsaw. I think it’s just too hot and they took it off.
@@metergee4594 shid that a big chainsaw
@@metergee4594 I'm burning up oil and carbon deposits inside a 1970s chainsaw muffler so it will run better. See my vids.
It's an old 1970s chainsaw muffler that I'm using high temperatures to clear debris from the inside of.
classic p2.. its got a gun and youve got the money. I just replaced the timing belt and water pump on mine this past weekend after coolant started leaking at the water pump. i'll get to the oil leaks someday... hahah
This one I bought and it spun a bearing early in my ownership. Engine swap blah blah blah, and I think I just need to redo the intake and spark plug gaskets, and leaks, and the AWD system and exhaust manifold shields. then passenger window regulator and she'll be back to replacing front end suspension parts by then.
That is a 15-20 year old car... Look at the headlights. Trolling?
Sarcasm intended - I really like to (seriously) figure out what's wrong with vehicles. Diagnostics are fun puzzles or problems to work. It keeps me going living in Fargo.
Bro that's like a 05' lol not a new car
Exactly, if everything always worked I'd sell it.
Hi my friend. My cluster turns off but I give it a few gentle taps with my hand and it turns on again. I checked the solders but the problem persists. What else should I check? Thanks
I suggest you check the solder joints again under closer magnification and solder them. The board is flexing when the cluster is assembled differently then when you checked. If you aren't interested in fixing it consider swapping out your dash cluster with a used part from ebay. I was able to do this from a 2004 to a 2004 S60 and a 2004 to a 2003 XC70.
What hose did you use? Is it silicone?
Yes I used a silicone hose from Amazon I believe it was heater hose. It should hold up to heat better. I used the previous hardline to make the curve underneath the intake manifold to connect the standard hose and the silicone and two hose clamps. Obviously the right thing to do would be to redo it.
Is it holding up? I see you also routed the IM vacuum line across the whole top instead of in between the gap.
Yes everything is running fine, no leaks. During disassembly I was too rough and cut the line off. I used the same line and routed it that way because it's short. I'm going to need to replace it with appropriate hose. I did that job in my in laws garage, needed the car out.
@@Daninater yeah good idea. The pcv nipple is insulated with the coolant hose to keep the oil vapors warm. That is also why the coolant goes through the banjo bolt fitting---to keep the vapors warm. I'd think this setup would be problematic in the winter and lead to a clogged nipple line. The pre-2005 p2 models used a different coolant pipe assembly where the turbo coolant line was separated from the pcv nipple line. I guess volvo engineers updated the design to use the coolant as a warmer for the oil vapors.
Pretty sure no dog on earth is gonna drink gasoline
ON EARTH? Anywhere on earth? What if it's gasoline mixed with hamburger?
Trying to contact Daninater here. I'm a person who makes short RUclips videos telling personal stories. I was hoping to use some of your footage in one of my stories. The videos are entirely non-commercial. The video I'm working on right now is about the low-level existential anxiety people my age grew up with as kids in North Dakota. All the missile silos nearby, the duck and cover drills, etc. I wouldn't use more than a few seconds of your footage for a couple different spots. I would give you full credit for your footage. Please let me know. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have. Thanks.
The purpose of me filming this was so that people will see it, you have permission to use it as you see fit and credit dan dewald, my name. Or if it makes your video look cheesy then don't worry about it. I wanted to ask you some questions too. 1. Are you familiar with "Long Lines" project for communications infrastructure? There are some great sites that are part of grain elevators and shared ATT towers. 2. Are you familiar with the E4 Mercury program that utilized line of sight communication with a 707, still active-ish, and then lastly the history guy did a bit on Grand Forks and their B-52 fire on the ready line with a particular warhead susceptible to fire?
TAURUS HEATER SWITCH ...ALL BAD..
15 seconds to replace part, 5 hours of dis assemble and re assembly of the rest of the car.
Of which 1.5 hours is spent cussing, praying, crying, kneeling on the engine as you remove the heater hose clamps recessed upside down against the firewall. If those were worm style 7mm clamps it would save mucho time.
How does it end? I NEED CLOSURE!!!
A blaze of glory my friend.
Will it drain my battery. My Ford Taurus is doing same thing.
Make sure your interior lights eventually turn off. If they run all night they'll drain the battery down a little bit hour over hour until it's dead. If all else fails get somebody to unhook the battery terminal with an adjustable wrench. If you don't have a garage you can hit the door with heat using a hair dryer or something creative.
FYI, I have a 2006 V70 and it too has a metal tank, so be aware that this is not just for the S60 version.
Thank you cuz I bought the wrong part aswell. I have melted tank took everything part to find out it wrong lol I payed around with the wires and my car started right up not sure how long it will last I still will be replacing it once the right part comes in

river killed himself actually
It was River's own will that River didn't refuse even though he had the option to refuse drugs.

2 Amps...
Does this hurt the Volvo
Yes. Draining a lead acid battery below fifty percent drastically reduces the life of the battery.
Kinda in the same boat. Done the timing belt myself yesterday without any special tools or camlockers.. car ran great didn't throw any codes... realized i done my tensioner wrong, I didn't understand how the mechanism worked, so I went to fix it today and ended up making the engine jump a few teeth on the timing belt and I'm having problems getting it back correct again. Dual vvt 06 s60 2.5t. Hope I get it soon. Stressing me out... basically I never moved anything from the time I took the belt off, I lined everything up before removing the belt the first time. Now I have to re-time the cam gears, so you're saying make it to where the lines lineup when you move the play forward on the cam gears?
That's what I did. There's that play you mentioned, so when it's all said and done I had it aligned with the tension toward the front of the car and the code cleared.
Curt got hurt at the end by -5 stars
Great! 🎉
Hey, would you happen to know of any common fuel leaks on these models? I just recently picked up an ‘05 S60 2.4L N/A FWD with the metal gas tank. Previous owner says there’s a gas leak when he fills the tank up all the way so he only fills it about halfway. At first I thought this was an issue with the sending unit under the rear seats but then I found out my car has the metal gas tank. I’m not sure where it could be leaking from but I don’t exactly want to fill it up all the way and find out. I’m sure I’ll eventually have to do that but until then I thought I’d ask and see
There’s a fuel tank vent hose I’d check first that would be a cheap fix. If someone tries to steal gas from your car they shove a screw driver or sharp object down the fill port to break a metal screen and make clearance for a syphon hose. Maybe that damaged it? Also if you search a diagram you’ll see all of the obvious ports on the tank. Your fuel pump has to work harder if there’s not a closed system to build pressure. So you should address this before the pump fails. Disconnect the battery and wear eye protection, face protection. Look for signs of leakage carefully the last thing you want is accidentally lighting up fuel vapors Jay Leno style.
@@Daninater hahaha I’ll try my best to not blow myself up. I’m unsure of the history of this car (just got it just over a week ago) but I’ll definitely look into that. I tried looking up diagrams of this fuel tank to find every possible opening in it but the best I could find was an eBay listing with not so great photos. Thank you for the fast response!
@@OnlyKelp I saw your video doing the flex pipe after commenting-- I'm sure you're more than good to tackle this. Just fill it until it leaks and then syphon it out once you know where from. I bet it's from near the fill port if it's only doing it when it's more than half full.
@@Daninater after removing the access panel to the fuel pump and having a look in the tank, I added some rtv to the o ring before tightening back up the metal cap. I went to the gas station, filled up the tank all the way and then a little more. I drove home and couldn’t find any leaking fuel. I looked all around the gas tank from the bottom but couldn’t find any wet spots around the entire tank. I took the car back out and swerved very aggressively to try and get the gas to slosh around in the tank. Even after that I couldn’t find a single drop of gas anywhere around the tank or ground. Not even the slightest hint of gas smell either. I don’t know if those o-rings under the metal cap are known to fail on these tanks but that’s really the only thing I re-sealed and I have no gas leak. I checked all the hoses that enter/exit the tank and found no leakage from them. I’ve never seen the car leak gas with my own eyes but the previous owners says it did, hence why he only filled it about halfway just to be safe. I’m going to keep the tank topped off and keep an eye on it just to be sure but it seems the leak is gone! For now anyways…. until the car gods get mad at me again
@@OnlyKelp The best possible car problems to have from previous owners who think it's worse than it is. WIN. I just bought a 2003 XC70 today same ugly color.
Petcock or no petcock failure, you still have a bad floatbowl needle valve...probably some dirt got into it. You make mention of the "vacuum-operated" (or something like that) petcock valve. Prior to my recent purchase of a Kawasaki Concours, I wouldn't have known what you were talking about. But thanks to that motorcycle, I'm now well-acquainted with vacuum-operated petcocks and I'd suggest you find out how yours operates before doing anything else so you can eliminate chasing your tail...but I'm sure you figured that one out a long time ago or got rid of the bike.
