@@HospitalOnTop-xz9uk I like the spectrum #49 in the manual for bulking, #6 for finishing. I like to keep far red at 10% or lower of total spectrum during the flower cycle. If you are using a controller with a sunset option you could experiment with higher levels of far red. Too much far red usually will show up in the plant as excessive stretching.

@Thank you, I got the GML Controller , I run far red very high after stretch and in early veg and from my experience when the plants stop stretching on around day 21, there is no extra stretch from the far red

@ I am now on my second run with the same strain in week 7 flower and the buds look bigger than on the First run, but I also added more deep red in flower general, so its hard to tell. I need a few more runs to say more about this

@ also the leaf and bud temperaure is getting really high with the far red, so maybe 10% is really enough

Yes the phone app is coming soon and should have the same functionality as the controller itself.

It uses UVC light as a pesticide. UVC lighting has been used for years and years in Europe for pest/fungal control since they have tighter restrictions on what can be sprayed. Tons of info online about it all if you are interested.

I like preset 49 some people will switch to a more blue heavy spectrum last week or so.

@@herbsmith6236 please don't look at them with your eyes naked or not. If you want to see if they are on you can use your phone to take a picture. UV exposure is no joke.

And to be clear in my tent through the window to make sure diodes were operational after shipping. Never look or be in room while uvc is on...my disclaimer

@@willstubbs617 Yep, UVC light. That's why you don't run these in the room with people/pets in there with them. That's also the reason they only run for short periods of time.

@spartangrown I'd love to try it. That price point will have me waiting for a bit tho. I'd love to know how they keep up for a year throughout the changing seasons... I'm in my garage so ive been gettin russets in.. just trying to be vigilant with dr zymes, neem and sulfur

@@willstubbs617 I would expect them to hold up well, with the IP66 rating that makes them waterproof so being in a garage should be no problem for them.

The only thing this will do is keep mites off the top colas. Source: I have a 30w UVC florescent t5. When UVC reflects off most surfaces, it shifts spectrum. Therefore, direct contact is needed. When UVC bounces off the grow tent walls, it is no longer uvc.

The presets are in the manuals of the Borg, or the Borg EVo (free downloads on the website in each product description) or can be cycled thruogh the controller.

That is not finished yet and will launch at a later time. I do not reccomend downloading the app yet.

There is no way that I can know what every light out there can use for lighting controllers, I can say that this will work with all the gml lights at least.

You are confusing the Emerson Effect with when people run far reds after lights out to "put the plants to sleep" faster. There has been little evidence this is helpful. If you had a sunset setting set to end at lights out then set a schedule to run far reds for 15 mins past lights out, they would dim down to lights out, then come on to the full percent you have them set to on the far red channel.

The Emerson effect is when you use both 660nm red and Far red together. The Emerson effect just means that the plant photosynthisizes more efficently for the time under the lights. Yes I use this.

@@dabzpaintball4478 I just want to keep it under 10% of the total spectrum, far red levels of around 10% or more of total spectrum can trigger shade avoidance and cause excessive stretching. Preset #49 or custom settings of 60% Cool white, 100% Warm white, 25% 660nm Red, 60% Far red will result in a total spectrum of 16.3% Blue/ 34.8% Green/ 40.3% Red/ 8.7% Far Red. So the far red comes in at 8.7% of the total spectrum and keeps me in the safe zone. These numbers can be found in the Borg or Borg Evo manuals in the spectrum section. Under each spectrum picture are the corrosponding settings to achieve that spectrum and the total color percentages. Hmmm...maybe I should do a video on this..

The controller will work with the vulcan to dim it or do the sunrise/sunset features, but no, it won't do any of the spectrum tuning

We have the remote senors on order and will make them available when they arrive.
