I deliberately avoided ordering maki rolls and sushi pizza as I don't like these items in general. I also didn't order anything with the name "Tao" in it and except for the pad thai, I didn't order any other noodle or rice dishes.

Here are easy to follow steps on how to make your own real or true mirin / hon mirin with koji rice, mochi/sweet rice, and either vodka or shochu. Plus see what it would look like after six months of fermentation. Koji rice purchased in Montreal from local producer La Brasserie San-O [ labrasseriesan-o.ca ] who also provided info on how to make mirin.
