Why do you need a 1W Wireless Adapter? Anything over 500 mW is illegal in the US.
Great video! Covers the basics and gets right to the point. The only thing is that an aerial is not a thing it is an adjective, meaning up high.

Ok, I need to go from point home, to a tower 2 miles away line of site from me, then from the tower to another location. Sounds like this will work for me, access point on my end, repeater in the middle and client on the end, is this right?

what if i need an antenna that will provide wireless in at list 1km for normal devices like wi-fi phones and laptops, to provide internet connection. whats the best approach... and if 1km is still not possible, then what distance is possible and what will i be using to have that coverage.... thanks

it would be smart to tell us were to buy it.
Is it posible to get a wifi signal (with any kind of long range wifi booster) at 1,5 km away from the accespoint without a receiver. There are some 8 story buildings the signal needs to get trough to.

It is not possible for an end user to connect at 5km or even 2 km without some sort of end user or cpe equipment
i need to provide Wi Fi internet service in 5 Km radius! i will have boradband connection but need to convert it into Wi fi. So, the users can connect to it wirelessly.
