The vlog series nobody asked for, vlogmas day 7 we checked out the Christmas Lights at Mavis Ct, Highfields. Geoff and Debbie (Dad and Mum) have outdone themselves this year with the display extending into the backyard and plenty of things for the kids/adults to look at and interact with.
This ends vlogmas for the year, maybe we will do it again 2025? Thanks for watching, more modifications to come in the new year.

Hey Gents, I'm trying to work out which clips need to be pushed to get the airbag out without breaking it. Are you able to show this? The older ones have a wire spring clip, looks different on the series 4
Hey mate, hopefully someone see your comment and can help out more than me, best I could do is a quick google image search, looks like a similar concept, push something into the holes to push the clip off the spring and should pop out.
Hey mate, What fuse amp did you use? Having a crack at install
Pretty sure it was a 20amp I piggy backed off. It was yellow if that helps 😃
Amazing
Agreed! 🎄
I believe Mum&Dad got it right.. wow .. Merry Xmas 🎅 to all. 👍👍👍
Merry Christmas! 🎄🎄🎄
With your camera zooming in turn Active Steadyshot off, that should fix it, if you want no cropping at all in 4k turn your fps to 24. ❤ PO.
PO, I could kiss you right now!
So keen to do this every time we try to it's closed
Apparently its closed right now too with all the rain we have had. Fingers crossed you get to check it out soon
Be honest do you miss the np300 lol
😂 lets just say you can tell the difference between a vehicle with 30k kms vs 300k kms. Gotta say the Ranger is growing on me though.
@GetThatBread haha hrmmm yeah ok so il just take that as you miss the np then haha nah cool car bro they all do what we want them to do thats the main thing 😉
Hey bro can you this on the ground bro and im only doing my lowers atm?
I see no reason why you couldn't if its just the lowers and doing one at a time it should stay in the same spot. I'd get a jack to add a bit of support while its out. Please also remember I'm not an expert 😅
@GetThatBread yeh cool brother neither am I but dont see a difference in the Axel on stands to tyre in my head same thing lol but il let ya know in couple hours I guess cheers for the reply brother 👍🏽
Worked out well brother took 1 hr bolts super duper tight but got em haha but yeh had to use ratchet strap just to pull Axel little forward like 5mm each side but easy peasy
@abz9304 hell yeah, good stuff.
CONGRATS MAN❤🎉😊
That sponge throw was personal😂
Was wondering if anyone caught that 😅
AAAAARRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHHH. BANG BANG CLANG CLAP CLAP 👏👏👏 🔔🔔🔔
🇹🇹🎉 Congrats mate.. I am 1 too ... two months today, a boy Noel..there will be som longer nights..all the best man..🎄🎄🎄
Cheers! Congrats on little Noel, we can soldier through the sleepless nights together 😅
congrats on DADhood brother! 150% your next mod should be tint! my girls hated the sun in their eyes i found they were much happier travellers after tint then i threw some snap shades in the rear for good measure as well! they even make them for the back window now so if they are rear facing they wont cop it through there either!
Thankyou! 100% need to get tint done. I had a crack at tinting the windows when I first got the ranger and it went terribly 😅 will have to pay a professional. I popped some snapshades on the wifes commodore and they are awesome!
Congrats on the baby. Let the vlogmas series begin
🍻
Bring on vlogmas! Jess says more baby & puppy spam 😛Hope you guys are well!
Real question is, when are we getting landcruiser content from you two? 👀👀👀👀
Congrats on tha baba.. long way to tha shop for a sausage roll..😉.. 👍👍👍
Thankyou! But seriously, how good are sausage rolls
Congratulations on the little gremlin 👍 Should make Christmas that tad bit more special on Christmas day. 🌲
Cheers! You're absolutely right, it's going to be a whole different kind of Christmas this year. 🎄
How’d you get the rear seat back in mine hits and can’t go back in
Copied the following from one of the previous comments 😃 It was a tight fit on the battery side. I put the drivers side in just a little bit to begin with, then pushed super hard on the passenger side to get it in place. Easier if you have two people.
That’s disk wasn’t spinning the straightest
Please don't tell my wife 😅
I don’t see that pipe on my 2018 navara do they have different engines?
If you are outside of Australia then potentially have the 2.5L motor. We got the 2.3 in Aus.
@@GetThatBread thanks for the reply mate, I’m in nsw, I looked on left of my Ute, I don’t see it … I’m sure it’s a 2.3L mines a 2018 RX model …
@@GetThatBread just checked on the service nsw, it’s the D23 2.3 DIE 7spa
Ooooh, its the nonturbo model. My bad, yeah you won't have the hot pipe, not sure about the throttle body pipe though, might be in the same spot, but might be different as it wont be coming off the intercooler.
@@GetThatBread oh thanks for that, I am going to upgrade the front to the 2021. Face lift, thanks to,your channel for idea.s
That looked fairly simple… I want to change mine soon. Thanks
Nice! Yeah its not too bad, just a bit time consuming to find the clips
Bro loose the music man in all honesty we here to hear what your saying not a music video haha I mean that in the nicest way brother ❤
I appreciate the feedback 😃 thankyou
What were the plastic pop river style things you were popping into the tray? Looking at installing a rack but might need to swap between that and a cover occasionally. Does this make it easier?
They were rivnuts/rivet nuts. Makes it easier to take off as you don't have a nut underneath to get to 😃
Have the same issue now on my Ranger!! Did it solved the issue completly? do you got to drive on that THICC rain again??😂
Sorry for the late response! It helped, but I did go through some more THICC ass rain and it happened again. I ended up just getting a 45ish degree silicon hose and stuck that on the end too to help keep some more water out then started checking the weather before big trips 😅 one of those things when it comes to staino snorkels I guess. Some people get lucky though and have no issues. Fingers crossrd the rain is more kind to you!
@ yeah thats what I’ve heard.. some people have issues some are lucky they dont…. And did the silicon hose worked? You got to test it again with it? Because I can have both just in case in the glockbox.. but seriously if not , thinking about deleting the snorkel because is a 15k km 2022 ranger , not happy of not being able to allways enjoy the car just because of a rain..🤦♂️And to tbh dont do a lot of river crossings.. thanks by advance for the reply
I had driven through heavy rain and it was ok but not terrential again. I would be thinking the same as you if I had a new car in warranty. I would get a staino again for the noise but practicality trumps it if you need the car to get to work etc
@@GetThatBread yeah man.. the only issues are the holes allready made haha, I think im gonna try to fabricate a similar water diverter and allways have the silicone hose for any heavy rains.. if it fails again gonna take the snorkel out.. because i had the same issue with the maf going crazy last road trip and was not fun at all..
too dark to see
Yup ran out of light, I learnt from this and grab B-roll footage in better light at a later time in newer vids 😃
Did the rear seat go back in ok? And what yr np300?
Yup sure did, needed a little pressure when putting it back in but was fine. Was a 2020 Nav but pretty sure rear seat is the same in all of them.
How have you found that winch with nearly 2 years on the clock
I sold the Nav end of last year but used the winch a couple of times while I had it and it was great, did its job. Disclaimer though, I wasn't hanging from a 45 degree climb or anything. Just a couple of bogs here and there. I rated it enough that I bought the same one again for my Ranger 😃
Greetings from Costa Rica. Just got my NP300 this 15 oct 2024. Look forward to my first year😊. Going to do some accesories this week😊
Gday from Australia 😃 hell yeah, hopefully some of my videos give you some ideas/help out
location?
-27.458337, 152.261986 somewhere in here on wallers/logans rd
Having a go is the best thing and you learn from your mistake anyways. :)
I know this is an old video but did you have any dramas after installing the tub rack?
Heya, no dramas after installing it, I took it off for a while then when I put it back on I made the slots a little bigger so it fit without being too snug 😃 ruclips.net/video/lnpKx9OK4LY/видео.htmlsi=cKfATu6p32DCnXUL
I know it was a temporary measure buy those positive terminals on the isolation switch are way too close to that earth (provent bracket) for my liking.
That is a good call out 🤝
how do you install that radio? or came with it? i have a 2016 np300 with other screen radio
That was the one that came with it, its a 2020 model. I'm not much help when it comes to headunits sorry 😅
first mod to do to a Navara: don't buy a Navara
Your youtube algorithm must be way off if you ended up here 😆
Hell yeah. Wanting to do the same with my Ranger, glad to see it can be done in the driveway with some time and a few extra sets of hands
hello, if you turn the key twice without starting the engine, does the charger start?
I've got no idea sorry, i don't own it anymore to be able to check either.
when i have the gap there i tape off the light and the guard and paint all the stuff behind the black insert black. this allows you to leave enough of a gap for the body moving without damaging the light or the guard but allows the eye to pass over the area without it being drawn directly to the exposed plastic and white guard behind the insert... its kind of a win win without having to run the ugly insertion rubber 😁 and good stuff man it looks tidy as on the ranger!
also a good way to hide the winch control box is to relocate it into the engine bay, minimises cutting and you can just pop your bonnet and plug in the wireless dongle if you think your going to need it.
Hiding somewhere near the airbox might be the right idea, just not sure how far the wires reach, will find out this weekend though. Such a good idea to black out the gaps! Thankyou!
Looking tuff, great job done..👍👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
At least your having a go mate! Dont be so hard on yourself. Most of us love watching your videos and appreciate how down to earth you are. Not all of us have big dollar sponsors to pay for accessories and labour.
G'day, hows the setup going after a year of install? Any issues? And do you think the agm battery is good enough for the average bloke or would you recommend the lithium? Cheers 🍻
Hey mate, personally, I wouldnt buy it again, the charger burnt out on me after a month. If I was gonna do it again I would go for a redarc one and spend the extra dollars, well for the charger anyway. The battery was fine for me to power lights, charge phones and a power a fridge. I would go lithium if youre gonna start powering cookers etc.
@@GetThatBread g'day again. cheers for the reply. It just tripped my brain when ya said it burnt out after a month that maybe there is zero air flow behind the seat and that may effect any type of charger behind the seat, thoughts? I have not had my back seat out yet but it might be very stale air behind their. 🤔 (Thinking out loud) maybe relocate the charger under the front passenger seat? As for the battery I'm thinking do it once do it right with lithium but the price, it's a toss up. But as allways cheers for the info, much appreciated 🍻
I dont think airflow was an issue, that being said though I'm not a huge auto electrical guy so if anyone else reads this and thinks that contributed please let us know. But I agree with the do it once method, if its something you will have for years and potentially adding to your setup as you go then may aswell have the base sorted 🤜🤛
Youre driving straight into a washout mate, i took my bone stock px1 there this weekend. Did toyo track did basically every hard track its all on the driver
I definitley don't claim to be a good driver 😅 hope it was a good time!
what a waste of time 20 minutes of whining
20 minutes and 34 seconds
Dont need any experience to do anything, but if you want it done correct, then you need skills and experience my friend.
At least you are having a go Good on you for trying and least you are learning
How do you remove the rear seat on an np300?
Lift the seat up, two bolts either side and unbolt the middle seatbelt. Then lift the back section up and should come out.
It takes a special sort of person to honestly look at themselves and learn something positive from it - it also takes a brave person to put it 'out there' for everyone to see - thank you for sharing your vulnerability and life lesson experience with us... 😉👍
Great video, don't be too hard on yourself man, there's nothing easy about what your doing and your in a tight workspace. A huge credit to you for attempting it and you got it done👊, every mistake made Is a lesson learned and a step closer to success.
Great video and yeah, it's all a learning experience. Great advice from Woody, and the answer is 42.
