I love the way Marianela tilts her head way back in her pirouettes. (Honestly, I would pay to watch her brush her teeth.) But the Lilac Fairy has the most beautiful music in the ballet.

The scene at 11:50 where the statue comes alive is unlike any other. I still remember when I saw this ballet in person, and just how incredible it is that that man stood there, frozen in place for all the time. The audience literally thought that it was a statue. Imagine the skill to make that work!

IMO she is the best Aurora out of all Auroras I ever watched throughout the world. Everything about this worked for me. Also, she's one of the few ballerinas that goes up to fifth during the attitude balance and goes down to third without grasping the male's hand super quick. She's completely on balance.

Hmmm. I thought the fairy entrance in the Prologue was a little fast, and now Aurora's entrance sounds a bit slow. Love that she wears the traditional Royal Ballet tutu though, and of course she's gorgeous.

Wow. The tempo of the entrance music is really fast. I put it back to 75 to set it the way I've always heard it.
