Drift Banging and Snowmobile Shittys
The f7 was awesome! Thats an older xc though. Would be like putting the 02 xc 700 against a wildcat 700.
4000 mi. on my 280 push kit no issues
You need to keep making videos it been 7 years
Hey old video I know haha but just was wondering if you remembered what track you were using
THATS WHAT A CAT THINKS OF A POLARIS BYE BYE 👋!!!
Nice Artic Cat
okay this video bothers me
One race. A good running set up 700 xc flies ! I know the F7s are fast but not like that. Cat sounded louder than stock too. My 01 800 ate F7s
The Polaris ran good with that
You must be related to ray Charles clearly the Polaris gets smoked by tractor trailer lengths in this video
used to beat these f7s on my edge 600 ffs.that xc 7s a dog.
The second sled is running on about 1.5 cylinders at best
The 98 xc 700 was fast
Firecats have good hp and are very light but there's a price to pay for all that lightness, that's why you don't see too many anymore because they fall apart as in frame around under belly and front suspension where it's main supports are. People still running those sleds have to constantly rebuilt and weld the cracks almost every season. I run a sled repair shop up in Canada i service every make and most of my Artic Cat customers have moved on to the newer and better Cats. I praise the people still running those firecats cause you gotta be willing to keep up with the maintenance
This is not the case in my area. Some of the highest mile sleds are f7s by far by me. I do know the frames on the early ones had issues but I've seen many with 10000 plus miles engine never opened and no frame issues. People over played this issue. I'm not saying they are the best sleds but it's my favorite sled I've ever owned for the money now that they are old and I've rode allooottt of snowmobiles from that time period.
@@parhammotorsports6125 It all depends who's on the sled 100% of the time and where you ride and how the sleds set up. I just know that I had to send quite a few of those early Firecats for frame issues and repaired alot of diamond drives, I should correct what I said.. I meant you see more older Artic Cats or the newer ones than those models that had weak points. But yeah all depends who drives it and where they ride.. I'm actually rebuilding a Polaris 2 stroke motor that's in my shop now it has 16,000 miles on it and never been opened and it really only needs a top end but I told the customer that I won't send it out of my shop without doing the whole motor with that mileage. And I had a Bombardier 2 stroke last year with about the same mileage that was impressive. So you can have one model sled and ride the powder in the mountains and jump it and ditch bang the crap out of it and it could take it better but then others I warn my customers if you wanna to that don't keep it long get a better sled it won't hold up, but that sled is a great trail or hammering down a old rail bed or lake running sled or touring long miles on hard pack trails.. ya eat your heart out.
@@Ryan-vo3rm that's impressive. The highest mile sled I've seen never opened was a 99 or 2000 (cant remember exactly the year) Yamaha VMAX 700 triple with over 20000 miles. At least that's what the guy claimed. He had it at a show. I've never owned or really been around snowmobiles over 2006 so I don't know how long the newer ones last. Im used to 4000 to maybe 7000 miles is about all you get before engine refresh/ blowing up or other big issues. Most sleds I've had is between 95 to 06 two strokes. So those years of sled models are the ones I know best and am getting my prospective from. And the f7s are one of the higher miled sleds I've seen in my area between those years. It's pretty common to see them on Facebook marketplace or on the trails with 7000 to 12000 miles and still going strong. Not saying thats on the original engine either but hand full of them claim to be. I buy and sell sleds in the winter as well and have friends that go through snowmobiles as well that tell me there experiences. Again I don't own a shop on the other hand and it's just what I see. And I'm not trying to claim at all that the f7s are the most reliable sled during that time period as well just to be clear. I do know they had there issues.
@@parhammotorsports6125 oh this is not a common experience lol, those are the only 2 strokes I've had with over 12k miles that we're not a Yamaha that have not been opened, the Polaris in the shop now is a 2004 and the Bombi I had last year or the year before was newer I don't remember the year anymore, I'm thinking it was a 2008 or something but regardless it was impressive. They are the only 2 sleds I have had with that mileage for there first rebuild. Believe me it's definitely a rarity but those 2 sleds must have been babied.
@@Ryan-vo3rm well if I think of it I'll let you know when mine blows up lol. I'm at 7000 miles now an unopened engine. I might rebuild it but I do have back up engines as well so not worried. Like I said it was only a handful of people. Not saying its common.
I have a 700 poo that will decimate this cute little F7 I eat M8s all day 😎😎
Little 680 would take care of that Litter Scratcher..
I would hope the cat would win,it has the XC by 20+ HP.
Did you find why your sled was booging like thaht ? Please tell me, i have the same probleme thanks
@@TyIer0 they are efi no carbs
Sure sounds like that f7 has different exhaust and might be clutched, but the f7 comes stock with 140 something horse like seriously dyno tech research dynoed a stock f7... Xc 700 bone stock is 125hp with 84 ft/lbs at 7750rpm and if you clutch and gear the xc the right way you can use that power alot better but probably will lose on the top end no matter what and I know for a fact that xc is bone stock and probably isn't really tuned in
Sent that mans to gapplebees
Clean ur power valves please
My sled does exactly rhe same thing did you found the pobleme please
clean power valves start there
This aint a fair race at all
Sounds off for sure...classic narrow track cat dancing on the hard pack lol it's a hairy feeling at times
Artic cat wins all the time pepke get so offend when artic cat bets the piss out of them maybe becuse they mad that there shit can't run
I rip an 02 Indy 500 Edge and I've been in that situatuion lots. The joys of sleddin
Attic Cat suck
I smoke that cat on my xc 600
Looks like Michigan.
Where is this
Half of the snowmobile is missing!
Nice F 7 Man.
Same sled bro, I rip a 1999 xc 700
I had an XC700, they are not fast machine back in those years. Plenty of midrange and gidyup for fun, but your not getting near 100 on one.
Stock 98 xc 700 setup for ice (lowered, picked) ran 118mph. Iv had them stock as stock can be, on snow GPS over 100, and with a 136” track GPS at 96.
Not 100😄 I think someone had one cylinder missing
Those engines hate cans! Put the stock exhaust back on
Does that truck have the 5.7
Snowcats never run right, ever! For those of you saying it sounds bad, sounds like both cylinders are popping. Although I'd bet on low compression and a cylinder. If I'm shopping sleds and see kiddo stuff like monster stickers I keep looking.
Junk cat shit
Kinda sounds like you got a leaky exhaust there
Those F7s are crazy loud with pipes. When did 2 strokes need to get louder? Go deaf riding those things as is. First time I rode a 660 Arctic turbo I was in heaven, made putting on miles much easier.
Actually you were riding in pine center in crow wing county. Did you stop a jr's for lunch first? My family has hunting property down camp lake road.
I was on vacation up that way couple months for rendezvous.
Here in Alberta I’ve even got my Polaris RMK 700 with a 155 track stuck after breaking through the top crust in a ditch
TimmyTeaBag what part of Alberta you at ? I’m in fortmcmurray
Logan James I’m in Rocky Mountain house about 90km west of Red Deer
Those sleds sound sweet!
she ain't running right, sounds like it's missing
@Justin Burton What Year Is Your Snowmobile?
i just got my 2004 xc700 ported and piped, now makes 142hp id like to see that f7 try something with equal horsepower
Bud the F7 were 140 stock
@Keith Peterson I’ll race your f7
@Keith Peterson I’m slp piped, slp intake, hotseat 14:1 head, ported polished, and geared I thibk I have a chance
@Keith Peterson I’m not knocking the f7, I’ve seen modded ones and they kick my ass lol
I’d line you up with my f7 sno pro any time 😂 even on water !
That xc rider sux
Sounds really bad
If that would have been a 1998 xc 700 it would have smoked the cat shit sled
BRAAAP!
Flat lander
Not everybody wants to spend a ton of money on a mountain only sled, and trailer. Some of us take what we can get, you big man you, with your mountain sled and fancy matching gear. You have matching gear don't you? You guys are precious
C.A. Carlson Why do you reply to everyone’s comments, it sounds like you don’t know what you are talking about.
that is what happens when you have a Polaris
Scott Sweeney super sledder!
