Also the point that the rude Max makes is more of "If you truly care about other people and not yourself why don't you show them that unless you are protected by the consequence-free superpowers?". Throughout the game we see what happens if you don't care about people around you. They can perish in any moment because life is that strange and cruel sometimes. So the main morals of the story are don't second guess yourself and appreciate what you have until it lasts. It the story of growing up, about facing tough reality for what it is and still progressing through life while still cherishing people that are still around you. And also the game is very much about love that love that should be shared instead of being hidden away due to some doubts

It's on the freaking contrary, my dude. If she kills Arcadia Bay that means that she will go with her powers to the end. And if she did it once and.killed hundreds of people why wouldn't she do it again when the cataclysms keep following her in Los Angeles or around the world? Two girls with no education or family go to Los Angeles? Are you sure they she will not use her powers in order not to get shot when stealing food?) It means she will go to the end with her powers, doesn't care about other people, did not accept the guilt for the death of her friend whom she had left alone for so long. This means she did not grow as a character, could not leave her childhood behind which sometimes means facing death and tragedies straight on instead of thinking for the whole game how it could have happened. Max grows as a character only if she kills Chloe. Because she stops second guessing herself and cherishes the moments in time which she has and people around her whom she loves until they are still alive. She also doesn't get superpowers if she returns right before she used it for the first time if she doesn't try to save Chloe and faces the guilt. The fun part of the game is that it could have been her powers fantasy about how things could have been. In that sense the game alliutes to the mind of a child that keeps dreaming about how things could have been and about other realities which they will make real through magic powers, quick resolutions and not facing the reality as harsh as it is. Also, as some commenters have already pointed out, her powers had nothing to do with busting Nate and Jefferson if Chloe dies. Nate has a mental breakdown, drugs Jefferson with him, shows the body of Rachel, that keeps attention away from Kate so she is not pressured to jump. The dumb part about it is that some characters like Warren did not get a chance to change while facing a bully is Nate is busted early on. That means Max has fewer reasons to like him

I personaly read the games ending as the oppocite of yours, Since se went on autopilot or something after "photojumps" I assumed that in the sacrefice Cloie ending, she never found out about her powers, and had to live whit the choises she made the first time around, Eg never saving or reconecting whit Cloie, and therefor grow as a person. I see the Sacreficing Bay ending as her saving Cloie before anything else, Cloie has Died and died again, and I dont think it will change, I thing that ending will have her continuing have her using her powers in order to "rectify" her inaction, unable to face it, In this ending, she never faces how she let her die, But thats just my Interpitation...

  • @zanzarasultettos8612

for me the best ending is sacrificing arcadia bay. There are so many good moral reasons for saving the city and sacrificing chloe but i think that the empty that leaves a person who is so important for you cannot be replaced by the rest of the city. During the whole game we tried to save Chloe, we even changed so many realities that sacrifice her can be considered going against what we have done during the 5 episodes. Saving Chloe is obviously the most egotistical choice but for real as human beings nobody has the courage to sacrifice the only person that cares about you. If you think that you in the same situation as max could have the courage to do such a destructive choice you have my respect but it’s quite impossible even if you’re the most good person on earth, the reason it’s simple: we are all humans with emotions and feelings that we can’t control. So for me sacrifice arcadia bay is the best final maybe it’s not moral but it’s the most human final possible because i repeat we do not have the courage to sacrifice our “best friend” only because we are only human

The game's ending doesn't make sense, however much one wishes to believe it does. If the problem starts with a predetermined event happening, the problem, itself, has evolved beyond its start. If you let a person die, after experiencing days of history, your initial behavior, saving a life meant to be killed, won't change the fact you also cannot be 100% certain that your actions going forward will result in the best possible outcome. Chloe dies? You stopped somebody from committing suicide. In most cases, 'you,' the one meant to exist, is complacent in events, and the 'you' that occurred via a paradox will try anything to play their NEW knowledge off as "It's just me being normal," through wisdom and foresight that didn't exist in the first place. In all respect, the paradox gave it to you, and the reason the paradox summons the storm is the fact you HAVE this foresight and decide to use it, when, without said foresight, experience, or know-how, a lot of the game's events would never change, someone will die, someone will be repeatedly bullied, someone will struggle... And the false ending, where you reset the clock on an entire week? Chloe's death is just the first of many things you must ignore. You cannot break the script, say certain words, or be the influence on others, to change predestined events. It was a predestined event, itself, that caused the storm. You watch in horror as Nathan goes to prison, instead of dying, but someone more innocent ends up dying, instead of being hospitalized. And you cannot help Alyssa. You probably meet Joyce, which seems logical, but that deviation from your paradox journey doesn't nullify the effect of that journey, either. The 'true' ending is all about going through that journey, and before the final choice, making a conscious and committed decision to save everybody you've helped. You even save the fisherman. In essence, the decisions of the entire game still mattered, and this is why Chloe and Max are canon in the second game. Which makes more sense to the theme of the series. Max was the first of several people with powers, it's not as if the storm is guaranteed NOT to happen from somebody else, with different powers, or someone else to obtain the same gift. While also fulfilling an important prophecy, where Chloe and Max remain friends for life, but also where Chloe escapes Arcadia Bay. I hate the naive and overly-optimistic idea that a band-aid will fix what's pretty much gangrene. Max being complacent isn't a one-stop job, and the entire school becomes a spiritual mindfield where, unless the Tobanga hated Prescotts, it's likely that Max will trigger several death-flags just by breathing incorrectly, or wandering into the bathroom, or discussing Dana's pregnancy test. It doesn't work, and blaming it on 'Chaos Theory' assumes that Max doesn't become chaos, itself. She's already a death flag and it still outright IGNORES chaos theory in practice: Max is not the only person who could inherit the chaos. Anyone, for any reason, any time, any place, will set off a catastrophe that cannot be prevented. It's ridiculous that Max could've 'had' the gift, and the following morning, her best friend jumps off a rooftop, inheriting the powers, herself. Or that Nathan, in the same situation as Max, wouldn't trigger that chaos. In a situation where "Ideal" means you cannot stop one person from dying on their hour, but you can save someone else from dying on theirs, by talking them to a different place? Yeah, Nathan confesses to a murder, outs a celebrity as a serial creep, and these spontaneous changes could've enlightened everybody, brought down the antagonist of their community, and undoubtedly improved everything for the better, but this, as the saying goes, "looks too good to be true," which is shorthand for "Max saved Chloes dad and left Chloe permanently crippled and deteriorating, but Max hadn't even MET Chloe and the storm was still going to happen regardless." The game was poorly written in regards to paradoxes. You cannot have a timeline where you prevent an accident from occurring at thirteen, but the storm happens while you do what you'd normally have done in the following years, only meeting Chloe while the storm was fast approaching... And also have a timeline where the accident happens, you live life as normal, and you become an involved party to the cause of the storm, itself. Because then it contradicts itself. Did Chloe's ruined predetermined death start the storm from Nathan? Did Chloe's declining LIFE trigger the storm from the car accident? Why did one storm take nearly a decade to happen, when the other required less than a week? It's like using "Eternalism" as a crutch for a narrative. "It always happened, it always would, it always will." Because if it's always going to happen on the same day, in no reality, no predestination, will someone find themselves stepping off a bus, to avoid a bomber. Not at the first stop, which is supposed to be safe, not at the fifth stop, which is the moment of the bomb going off. Which just makes the decision take a FULL 180: Beginning of the game, one could presume that Chloe was still alive, before Max woke up. Or that she died and Max found their OWN way to the lighthouse. End of the game, one CANNOT presume Chloe died, but, if the beginning of the game happened WITHOUT her surviving, then any decision to 'prevent' the storm is shortsighted, at best. The 'Sacrifice Bay' is the only choice that actually leads to an outcome that isn't a complete repeat of the beginning of the game. That just makes the canon ending less romantic and more realistic. And makes the none-canon ending less rational and more of a very bad, thoughtless wish. It's possible just by choosing to 'Save'' everybody, that you created the storm in the first place, and magnitudes were given to it, over the course of 'chaos,' for years. Each groundhog day, the end of the loop becomes more violent.

I'll have to rewatch the three movies, but I'm almost positive they skip many of the moments from the manga, including the 100 man fight. This moment is critical to Guts and Caska's relationship. I believe the movie also skips Caska's flashback. It makes it less obvious that Guts and Caska like each other and fast tracks everything too much in my opinion. This is why the 97 anime was better in my opinion. By the way, golden age arc in the manga never really had any hints of fantasy elements until Zodd, either. So... 97 is literally the closest to the manga as far as I've seen. I'll have to rewatch the movies to be sure. Still, I really love to see more videos on Berserk. You did a wonderful job. Thanks for making content.

The unexpected eclipse and the two moons tell me that two timelines have overlapped. If I was Max, I would have saved Chloe at the very beginning, and then never use my power again and let events unfold on their own and hope the police catch the serial killer on their own without my help, even if that means that Kate dies (or maybe send some clues anonymously to the State Police [not David] about the barn and the secret bunker)...

An excellent summary of the events and motivations behind the developers' decisions. I also basically agree with the conclusions about character growth and learning responsibility and consequences for your actions and so on. However, I think you got the ending flipped. Saving Chloe is not rejecting her time travel powers, it's embracing the timeline where she used them to save her friend and letting everyone else die. Accepting that some things are out of her control and her actions have consequences means going back to the beginning and not breaking the timeline to begin with, which means letting Chloe die. And like @jyllianrainbow points out in a different comment, there's more to Max's relationships and the good people of Arcadia Bay than Chloe.

Honestly I agree about the so much promise part especially. Like why bring up how different wand cores affect your magic slightly but not add something little so you can actually see the effects. Or how your choices don’t really matter cause when I hate a side character and pick all the most aggressive options I’m still their best friend even though I hate them. And if I pick power at the end the “bad ending” it doesn’t do anything. Like the games over at least let me have a boost in attack power to destroy enemies more since I decided to be bad. Good game just very strange decision making for stuff that very easily could have been added.

I noticed in life is strange, it starts off with Max having a dream of a EF6 tornado, heading towards Arcadia bay proper, then she wakes up in classroom eventually has to go to the bathroom then witnesses Nathan killing Chloe only after witnessing in the murder, she discovers she can rewind time. Why can she?. what’s the whole point of having the ability. By the end of the story gives you two choices throughout the story they keep giving hints that there is only one choice. “You’ll do the right thing”. Whatever that means. After you decide the fate of Chloe in the town. Then the storm ends. Life is strange 2 and true colors. Both Daniel and Alex have powers that they both use and get the keep. While Max, by the end is supposed to have learned a lesson to not even use her powers to begin with. As she only found out about after witnessing the murder of Chloe. Arcadia bay with the looters where is tornado references. The vortex club. The Prescott’s starting a storm shelter boom. It is as if the storm was inevitable, regardless. It’s as if the town had a prophecy of a storm coming. I play life is strange a few times with Max as. Straight,Bi and 100% Gay and still decided to save Chloe. Watching Chloe develop as a character only to erase all her growth. Did not sit right with me. The only tough. Thing was knowing whether or not Kate was safe. If she was still at the hospital waiting for her parents, she most likely survived the storm. Perhaps her parents never show being victims of the storm. The hospital was nowhere near Ground Zero. So it made me confident in my decision on saving Chloe.

Anyone can choose whatever ending they want, but I think trying to make it a Hill to die on to justify whatever choice you make is f****** annoying. At the end of the day, Chloe was meant to die and the storm was created to save her and to me, it's selfish to change that fate in exchange for other lives. I just can't justify killing or traumatising an entire town of people to save 1 person who was meant to die anyway. Sorry Chloe stans but it is kind of selfish. Do with that what you will. I won't be reading responses.

From the first time until today I always chose to save Chloe. And the only time I thought much about it was the first time. My logic is very simple: What >> I << would do? I would choose to save my friend, because I would feel in eternal debt to the world and having her by my side would be a constant reminder that I owe good deeds for humanity. (directed towards heroism) If I saved the city, I would be doing a great good for others... Consequently, the world would be the one indebted to me and from my experience with living, the world is kinda giving us shit, you know? (heading towards the path of villainism) In other words, saving Chloe doesn't just save one person, but maybe the whole world in the long run. At least for me 🤙

I'm confused by what "woke" means in this video. It seems like you're just taking things you don't like and slapping "woke" on it like that explains anything. The big studios only making remakes, reboots, and "safe" movies is a real problem. I don't know what's woke about it though. I don't understand what's woke about The Last Jedi, it was contentious with fans because it tried to flip the Star Wars formula. You pointed out at the start of the video that the lack of diversity in hollywood was a real issue. But then you jumped right into calling the addressing of that issue as woke? I would argue that issue is still there and the big companies only pretend to be progressive when it makes them money. They use diversity hires as a front to hide the powerful, rich, white men running things behind the scenes

    • @sigmacademy
      @sigmacademy 9 месяцев назад

Also, on top of that, the studios and Hollywood didn't CARE about diversity until they got PAID for it. They're not adding race and gender swaps because "it's the right thing to do" (it's not - ACTUALLY launching GOOD or GREAT original diverse new properties is), they are doing it so they can create MORE toy lines so that they have MORE stuff they can sell. The fact that it's to THEIR political advantage or for their political messaging is simply an deliberately added extra bonus.

Your full comparison between Hollywood and RUclips channels that concentrate on woke issues breaks down very easily. You say they complain about hollywood doing the same things but then concentrate on the same subjects themselves. The difference is thats what those channels were specifically made for while hollywood is suppose to be creative and artistic with cutting edge advancements. A woke exposing RUclips channel is just that. The creator of that channel know if you wanna watch a prank video your gonna go find a prank channel..its not even close to being fair to compare hollywood as a whole to a RUclips sub-genre

In all due respect. I didn't compare them against Hollywood as a whole. only the woke movies they complain about. If these RUclipsrs are to be believed and to a certain extent i do. Its an incredibly low bar to pass, considering how bad these movies are. Then i just compared how they stacked up to their own criticism of said films. Funny then, how they failed are nearly opportunity against their own arguments. I didn't exposed them , they exposed themselves. Showing how foolish and untrustworthy they really are. Does that seem like a person who wants to solve the issue? Please, i mean this sincerely. Instead of worrying about how my arguments breaks downs.Look at theirs and really see does it have any merit, other then a self-serving taunt for themselves and their fanbases.

@@tbcoop hollywood as a whole is woke hollywood..you have to go independent to find movies without some kind of woke message snuck in..as far as the youtube channels stacking up to their own criticism and them exposing themselves, they arent claiming to be anything but what they are and they sure arent claiming to be people trying to solve any issues, just to show their views on things with their own opinions..and your being very dishonest trying to act like your coming from a neutral stance.when your clearly trying to discredit the people that are showing the crazy side of the woke movement...why cant they just have their opinions about their views on wokeness..you can argue well then why cant you have your opinion about your views of their videos and thats a valid but childish argument 2 wrongs dont make a right ,if you thinks its wrong for them to make their videos then why is it right for you to make a video about them. thats the entitled woke way of thinking. whats good for you isnt good for me.

The tone of my last comment was way to harsh to be fair. Anyway, I believe woke is ruining blockbuster films aswell just to be clear. But we shouldnt trust the wolf in sheep clothing either. Something like 600 Hollywood movies are released a year. Thats 1800 movies in the past three years. All of the them a woke, even the majority you say. How could you possibly know. I, like you, only watch the blockbuster heavily marketed movies often from a big franchise. It's such a small sample size. We cherry picking shows and movies that are totally woke and saying every thing in the industry is like that. I don't know enough and wouldn't claim to know. But this is petty. This is the crutch apperently my whole argument dies on? Please let's try to be sincere here. These channels are exposing woke Hollywood and want it destroyed. That sounds like a "problem" and a "solution" to it. You dont even what to concede that the videos are made with a purpose. They claiming they know better and yet act the same way. And How very woke of them to destroy things they dont like. It's called hypocrisy. These channels frame the narrative of good guy vs bad guy. My point is that both are the bad guys probably the least neutral stance one could have.. Because neither want solutions only to continue the problem. See, we can't even agree on the simple things. If want to say, there not claiming to be in the right aka the good guys. Dont bother replying, it's a pointless conversation. The can their views and opinions. buts, It's a question of integrity. Despite acting like they have it, they completely lack it. The woke movement lacks integrity too and im showing the other side of it and pointing they lack integrity too. I not writing another varation of my video in text from. Please reply, I read and take on board any good points you have. But I'm not responding back. There no hate. We can just agree to disagree. Thanks for watching and engaging.

@@tbcoop there's a lot to break down there so I'll start by saying you get respect for acknowledging and that you may have been to harsh. I have thick skin so I don't think you were harsh at all just expressing your opinion with a degree of passion.. Now you mention I must only watch blockbuster movies yet call everything woke. When I clearly said that you could find non woke movies by going the independent route. There are plenty of non woke movies but the majority of hollywood will at the very least slip somthing woke in there .. As far as the woke bashing channels go..you see it as an attack. And I will say they make the videos with a purpose and thats simple entertainment. These people aren't showing these woke videos and then come out and act like they know better, they are just giving their opinion and has confidence in that opinion. If you wanna talk hypocrisy, your video is doing the same thing . Your presenting your argument then talk as if what your saying about them is the final truth. You then say these channels frame the narrative of good guy vs bad guy and that both sides are bad . Ill agree both sides do the same stuff. But I wouldn't say they are trying to create a good guy bad guy narrative they are just making videos expressing their opinions on videos clips they watch. The left expose the right and the right expose the left and both have the right to do so without someone trying to make it seem like what they are doing is wrong .. this whole thing is about opinions the opinion of the left leaning channels or the rights . Or my opinion or your opinion. We are all allowed to have then and to try to make people look bad because you don't agree with the way they support their group of people. You questions someone's integrity saying they have non without knowing anything about them which is the exact same thing these channels do about the people in the videos they watch...but by far the worst thing is say your not gonna respond back . And since you like to speculate the reasons why these people make their videos. I'm gonna speculate that u wrote that you'll read what I have to say but you won't respond back in case my response challenged everything you said, 8n case I point somthing out or prove you wrong somehow you won't look like you ran from the conversation because you said your not gonna respond to me ...and how hypocritical is that. You say your part then want to end the conversation before you say somthing that makes you look like the people your condemning..why stop the conversation . Why not continue the conversation so 2 more people in the world that disagree could share ideas and opinions without it turning into a fight or without running froso.one that may point out things you don't want to believe and vice-versa. .you want solutions. The only solution is to listen to people with different opinions and find common ground...we both agree that these channels , both sides do the same stuff. What we disagree about is their intentions for doing so. You think its to be hateful , and that they think they know everything and that they want no solution just for the problems to continue and that they do the same thing woke hollywood does by doing the same things over and over..I say its not a fair comparison to compare hollywood with all the different genres and sub-genres to a RUclips channel that was created to do a certain thing to cater to a certain group of people if folks want somthing different they watch a different channel..and they make these videos because they wanted their opinion to be heard the same way you wanted your opinion of them to be heard so you made a video, its just that their channels are dedicated to one subject. So what im getting from everything your saying is your upset that they give their opinions about things without trying to find a solution..when the news reports a murder is it that reporter responsibility to find the solution and solve the murder and citizens arrest the murderer. No. Thir job is to report o. What happened. The same thing these channels do they are reporting o. Somthing woke that happened or the left leaning channels are reporting on what conservatives folks are doing and both give their opinions on the article they are quoting from or the videos they are watching. So we both agree about everything except the intentions of the people that run these channels. You wanna think the worst saying they all push their agendas like its a bad think to support what you believe in and that these channels do the same thing over again like the woke hollywood they are bashing. I say its ok to support your beliefs without being told by someone that doesn't know you that your pushing an agenda...and they make the same content, first the content may stay on one subject every video. But what they talk about each video is different. The basically are entertainment news that either hate or likes the wokness..since your not gonna respond (if I were you I wouldn't wanna go back and forth with me either) I hope the best for you and I hope you learn to not judge people without knowing them and learn look at thing through different perspectives. .be safe and have a great day

Your saying i'm neutral earlier, but now your taking a neutral stance. Its getting silly. The conversation getting more petty and bordering on personal I giving up on it, not because I'm right, and your wrong. Its we're both looking at a inkblot test and i'm saying its a cat and your saying its a dog. We even agree on what we're seeing (something tells me, you won't even agree with the analogy). The end portion becomes rather nonsensical. When media becomes so obnoxiously poor and hangs onto relevance only by attempting to be controversial, an equally venomous response is not only logical but should be expected. Balance is ideal, but not realistic. I see little reason to give bad movies, games or TV shows credit for their breadcrumbs when the meal itself is garbage. I will agree though that the old Star Wars movies are definitely overrated and don't at all hold up to scrutiny, many older films don't. But I don't think new and different should be praised for simply being new and different. Failure is expected, but when you don't improve success will never be yours.

" Failure is expected, but when you don't improve success will never be yours." How can you improve. When all they do is trash the entire thing? You have no sense of whats a good idea or not. So what do you do? you just copy what came before to keep so called "fans" happy. Art doesnt evolve, it can't, it just festers on forever. This is what a one-sided approach creates.

@@tbcoop "Failure is expected, but when you don't improve success will never be yours." No, that's ass backwards. You ALWAYS aim to do your best FIRST TIME AROUND (by working towards being the best in your field), and you LEARN from mistakes along the way. You ALWAYS approach your first opportunity as if it is your ONLY opportunity, and you adapt your work ethic to be equal to the unique opportunity being offered. "When all they do is trash the entire thing?" What "entire thing"? What are you talking about? They have an issue with SPECIFIC ELEMENTS of the new stuff, and they even PRAISE some new stuff as well? But SOMEHOW, your video DIDN'T MENTION THAT AT ALL. "So called fans"? They are called old-school fans, and were part of the franchise FAR EARLIER (and created the franchise's popularity YOU now have the PRIVILEGE of participating in) than the newer "tourists", whose only understanding of the franchise comes from some RUclipsr "video essays" that barely understands the franchise itself, and who simply makes videos off the wiki, just like some of the major pop culture outlets who had journalists who had to be corrected on basic facts about a specific franchise in the comment section of their publications by fans who ACTUALLY watched the products and read up on the themes of the media.

What people painfully DO NOT understand is this: The objective of those that pull the levers of power is DIVISION! Divide & Conquer is their age old strategy. It does not matter if it's Woke or Anti-woke, Right or Left, Black or White, Vaxx or Anti-Vaxx, etc, etc.... as long as the plebs are arguing, they are winning! It is entirely manipulated and none of it will stop until those who are truly to blame are held responsible!... Unfortunately, everyone is already too tribalized, programmed & indoctrinated to even understand & overcome this incredibly simple point! Total idiocracy is almost complete!
