I've sanded my floors. My white stain looks blotchy as did yours. Than your finished product was flawless. Did you sanding after staining ?

You can do so with a moisture meter.

Try a sponge with a handle/stick to apply the stain.. Watching him use that rag is bothering me lol
It doesn't achieve the same looking results. You can watch other videos that explain why a rag is a must vs sponge.
If you are wiping the excess with a rag, who cares how you apply it
you buffed it after the bleach? interesting
Id be afraid of closing the grain to accept less of the white but i suppose it turned out ok

Why can't you simply use deck wood stain like Thompson?
Dumb question.
Can you put the white-wash on using a roller with a 36" insert pole/stick vs kneeling? Use clean rollers to remove excess paint?
I was thinking with a sponge mop. Because you have to rub it in. But yes, seems unnecessary to kneel to apply it.
@@RD-ds2cc There is a special technique to white wash, can only be done on hands and knees sad to say.
Can you white wash Parque floors???
we are doing a Monticello next week, l will say that if parquet is real wood, then yes you can.
Thank you sir great video. I’m doing the same exact flooring in my house. Do you sand that wood before staining??? If so with what grit? Seems like a pain because that means will also have to use an edge sander to get the edges as well. I’ve done that redoing old floors and not an easy task. Would hate to put a belt sander to new flooring. Your advice is Much appreciated, thanks in advance
