Hong Kong’s MTR does use this shuttle service. They operate it from LOHAS Park to Tiu Keng Leng on Weekday and Saturday non peak hours and Sunday / Public Holiday. They have improved it - there are more frequencies (8.2-9 mins on Saturday and 10 mins on other periods) with full scale routes heading to North Point. In addition, the line was also optimized for 8-car trains.
When THSR first considering the timetable 高雄 was the second largest city and 台中 was gonna be like 名古屋. So there was super express that doesn’t stop at 台中. But in recent years 台中 is no longer 名古屋 and became 大阪, so all trains stops at 台中 now. And sadly I didn’t get the chance to ride it😢
Actually, the Terminal station of Green line is not "new store" It keeps Xindian, that's the pronounce of its Chinese edit: I guess you used machine translation
新means new and 店means store that’s why translate mistakes

Thank you for your comment. I fixed the mistake in the subtitles.
Thank you for making this video❤,I’m from Taipei. Taipei Metro is clean and safely!
Haha the most hated station by NTU students: Xiaobitan Due to the branch line to this station, some trains on the main green line cannot go past the Taipower building station, followed by Gongguan station, which is the entrance of National Taiwan University😂😂😂
A really big thank you for releasing the issue in an international language. I hope the foreigners living in Taipei can participate the discussion on transport topics. Some glitches tho, 2:24 the officials do publicly release the timetable on not only the platforms but also their websites. The only exception are the fully-automated (GoA 4 Level) trains i.e. the Brown Line.

Thank you for these videos. I prefer these rather than the AI-generated voice narration that just sounds completely unnatural.
A most informative video.
Great video, a lot of insights to foreigners who are interested in Japanese railways. Keep up the good work!
Never saying it, but love your content takagi !
Wow... I love Japan Countryside and small Vintage Train. Great Video
Hello, do you think that in the future these Railway line will be refurbish ?
Thank you for your comment. If this line is renovated, I think it will be localized, such as around Tanigumi Station.

just found your channel and i already love your videos. ありがとうございます😊
I think JR should restore this Meitetsu Tanigumi line as soon as possible. The tourists will be glad to visit the temple or shrine for worshipping by the railway transport. 😊
Wow the land use definitely needs to get better! The light rail line itself is really promising.
The “trust based” system is interesting - because other systems in the world have the card readers on the platforms not the train!
Your videos are very interesting and well-made.
Good news about the extension
Excellent!
It’s surprising just how bad the surrounding land use of the Utsunomiya LRT is... stroads as far as the eye can see
The crowd boarding at the beach look to be Bay-to-Breakers veterans.
Fascinating video! I have long wondered why Japan has been so hesitant when it comes to building new tram lines and why their trams are always so short, so this video helped a lot in explaining those peculiarities. That aside, thanks for the video! Greetings from Denmark! 🇩🇰
Hi, thank you for the video. Is it possible to use some narration (AI or Voicevox) similar to the Japanese videos? I also have some English corrections: 7:45 "Therefore, we decided to increase the number of parking spaces..." I guess this is a translation error. Usually in English we use passive voice or add the person or organization that did the action if we ourselves did not do the action, so it can be said as "Therefore, it was decided to increase the number of parking spaces..." (passive voice) or "Therefore, the City Hall decided to increase the number of parking spaces" (active voice with the subject being someone else). But the easiest to read would be "Therefore, the number of parking spaces were increased...". I hope you will take note of this when editing the subtitles. Thank you.
Thank you for your comment. The videos on this channel are remade for English-speaking audiences, from my another channel. The videos on that channel contain Japanese AI narration. On the other hand, the videos on this channel do not contain narration, in consideration of using RUclips's subtitle translation function. I have corrected the translation error.
I appreciate the hard work and research that went into this video, but it took me a lot of effort to understand the point you are trying to make. I suggest summarizing the video at the beginning so viewers know what to expect, otherwise I think many people will simply stop watching because they don't understand the point of the video. Perhaps there is a language barrier, but AI is so good now that translating is not really an issue anymore.
Thanks for your comment. I was also concerned about the high drop-off rate. Thanks for the solution. The videos on this channel are remakes of videos from my other channel for English-speaking audiences, and it's hard to add content, so I added a summary to the description. Do you think this will help increase the average watch time?
@@japaneserailwaybytakagirailway For future videos, you can also add extra graphics for the English version such as a video title card, a banner telling viewers to turn on subtitles, table of contents, etc and the word "Subtitles" in the title of the video. The opening section of the video should be more exact as to what it is talking about, since many overseas viewers do not have a lot of knowledge about Japanese railways.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I like how you call the hills of the bay area "mountains" :)
Why does this video mean 14 billion loss?
@7:05 the captions mention that floods could cause $14.4b in damage to Osaka and Umeda stations. I think this is what the video's title is referring to.
This video needs narration or captions. We are shown empty trains and stations but there is no explanation, at least not in the first 3-1/2 minutes. I admire Japan for its transit so I hope it recovers.
turn on subtitles
@@erzei Ah, thank you. Please note that in the instructions. It never occurred to me to turn on subtitles since there was no commentary; if there was Japanese narration, I would have tried in case there was an English translation but I did not think of it this time.
No one does English commentary (but I’m trying to change that). Native names are hard to pronounce correctly and the literature gap in English is humongous. The closest thing we have in English is using google translate on the big magazine websites lol
Yes, they are. I just got back from Amsterdam, we may be doing some things better in the States than we think we are particularly with accessibility.
hi takagi san! I enjoyed the video, I think a lot of people from the western sphere use videos as back ground sounds, so having a voice over would help a lot. would the japanese "vocaloids" be able to output in english?
Thank you for your comment. The videos on my another channel have narration in Japanese. Those on this channel don't have narration in a specific language, only English subtitles. Because I want people from many countries and regions to watch this channel, by using RUclips's automatic translation function to translate the English subtitles.
Could have done with some narration.
I'm excited for this! 😊

0:27 I really like these Breda but the retired them. I really don't like the new ones, because the seats are just very bad, and the old one has seen in this frame had nice seats and they just seemed nicer.
Great tour of the historic cable cars. San Francisco looks clean and safe in your video.
well I mean Japan wouldn't even need "advanced streetcars" if they have a city like San Francisco, cuz at that point they would've already built a proper heavy-duty subway system, or at least a comprehensive regional railway. Just look at Okayama, a city less populous than SF yet being served by three systems, two of which being grade-separated heavy railways
I love Japan
That’s a very impressive tour of San Francisco’s streetcar network. Good job.
that's laughable at best😂😂😂having a big long trolley running thru tight neighborhood streets is bad planning and choice, creating traffic jams.
Muni's first streetcar line began in 1918. San Francisco has had a transit first policy since the 1970's. Auto drivers have to share the roads, not just with Muni's streetcars, but with cyclists (bike and motor), scooters, electric bikes etc. Drivers often create their own traffic jams. Younger people moving here often do not bring a car with them. Just about everyone in SF is within 3 blocks of a transit line.
It would be nice if Muni brought back rail service on the routes that didn't have dedicated right-of-way, except of course the routes that were only ever cable car.
Nahh buses good enough
no way is Takagi railway branching into english content???
