Hi! What's the angle of the foot pocket? And do they fit Cetma foot pockets Thanks
is it posdible to combine..Cressi foot pocket..then blade is Mares?
👍🙏

The ONLY real different bewean fins is the stiffness level!! When a fin feels better for you it's a sighn you got a more suitable fin stiffness to your body structure and style. Material has very little to NOTHING at all to do with your dive depth. Cheap plastic is as efficient as the most expensive carbon fin in the water. With similar stiffness plastic, fiberglass and carbon fiber fins will do very similar dive results if not identical! YES I know it's not what you been hearing but that's the truth. I tried it! I saw selsmen letting try out soft carbon and then hard plastic and naturally the hard plastic was much less compatible and phisiologal efficient. The one who tested can tell the world plastic is inferior. Hard fins are optimal for very few divers but surprisingly common among plastic fins.
What are the differences in the tip of the fin blade, do they have different uses? I mean the notch at the end of the blade. In some there is a notch and in others the other way
Mahalo for the video. Your guidance appears to be very mature and responsible. I've been freediving for a year in Kona and I'm thinking of trying spearfishing. Right now I'm spending time in the water hunting with a camera to help me identify fish and find good locations. I want to get a feel for their behavior and imagine what would be necessary to shoot the right ones. I plan to start with a three prong polespear. Beginning spear fishermen can benefit from more guidance like this. Keep up the good work!
@westsidediveandtackle how do you like the rob allen floats 7-12L? Also Is their flag up to Hawaii state law? 🤙
@@Kumukarl good shoreline floats yes need a flag
@ Mahalos!
as to the cressi fin that looks like a diveR - has cressi collaborated with diveR ? I googled that and cannot find that fin in the cressi lineup. I'm very interested in the diveR fins but they're hard to get in Europe...
@@sandmairma not really Cressi did one collaboration on that one design but probably cannot get it anymore
Simple and to the point. Good practical tips, and helps me out!
Thanks for the video brother! Had speared bigger 10-25lb fish in the past,6 years ago, but recently looking into targeting smaller 2-6lb reef fish. Just gota new gun and have been rigoursly racking my brain where to shoot them for a clean shot since its so much harder to tell than the larger ones plus more dangerous up and around the reef. Really helped dial me in for an ethical catch and I massively appreciate the tips+ advice+ forewarnings my man! What a dope video! Obviously a Center meat or collar shot isn't ideal but if that does happen do you think I need to be worried about securing the fish ASAP so it doesn't Tear off? I've mainly speared Dorado in the past and anything other than stoning them would rip off, usually... Not accustomed yet to spearing reef fish in cali yet so im very skeptical taking anything other than an almost positive spinal shot. what's your opinion if you have any? Know your in Hawaii brother...
excellent video! never thought about pushing my body into the gun, sure hopes this helps bringing me less fatigue. Stoked to try it out, thank you!
Most Pathos Spearguns are designed for experienced hunters, which is why these guys put so much effort and quality into their products. I use a 95 cm Sniper and have caught more fish in a more extended range than Apnea or Cressi spearguns, which I also own. Pathos spearguns are more powerful and more accurate than any other speargun in that price range.
Are the Cetma S-wing being pheased out, and is Cetma going to have a revision or replacement for them? I'd ordered fins from another vendor and chose a 41-42 swing foot pocket, but was told they were out of stock, then later they wouldn't replenish because they were being discontinued. Then I went on a trip and everyone had swing foot pockets. I took a pair with the 41-42 for a spin and they felt great. So I'm hoping that it's just a new Rev coming out and not that I found a great fit and feel that I can't have.
@@larryminer7008 not being phased out as far as I know. We work directly with the US distribution so you can try them. Spear America 🤙
one of the tougher subjects to discuss with new divers.. when they like the way one foot pocket looks vs how it feels on their feet. then they just buy a cheap set up and give up on diving haha
Lost my 3 prong in the rocks with sea urchins.. gonna buy a harpoon spear gun now.😂
I followed all the steps and didn't load my speargun.

Wht u perefer bands for 145 speargun. 14mm x 2 or 16mm x 2?

Thanks!
I tried an entire wall of masks on recently and I swear I did not find a really good fit. I have the cro magnum forehead and a huge Italian nose. A cressi calibrate is ok for me but I need to spread the sides before I put it on, and at that point it does a pretty good job
love the knot bro, thanks

Hi how much for ship it to Nz?
Mate honestly it too much. Best to hit up a local shop. Sorry
You gave very good information Always be happy 🌹🌹🌹
Hi ! Thank you for sharing Could you please advise, Any recomended brand for big face ?
The best fins are custom made fins. Need different weights and tensile carbon layers and directions inside. Most of them are just 0-90° stepped layups including DiveR, penetrator and most cheaper blades.
Is there a solid place to buy custom blades?
@@AWES0ME1 ask your local dive club, i make my own

Weird question warning! I want to easily add weight to a guitar strap while I'm seated and then remove the weight when I play while standing. Here are my questions: 1. What is the widest opening on lace through style diving weights? I saw some coated weights online, and they listed the openings at 1.92 inches wide. The most narrow guitar straps are usually about two inches wide. 2. Is there any room in the openings for a reasonably thin, two inch wide cloth strap to curl up on the edges and still fit through the openings in the weight? I want to slip a diving weight over a guitar strap at the bottom end of my bass guitar to pull it down and pitch the neck upward, so that I don't have to support any of the neck weight with my fretting hand. You have to admit, it is kind of funny that I'm asking a diving professional about diving weights in order to solve a problem which guitarists call "neck dive". 😂
Yeah most of these dive belts are max 2 inches. The coated dive leads slide on and off fairly easy although it as easy as uncoated. Hope that helps
@westsidedivetackle3894 Thanks! It's worth a try. If worse comes to worst, I'll just get some sturdy cloth and sew a bag around it, and then I'll sew a wide loop onto the bag. As a lifelong technician, I will never understand some of the crap that design and engineering teams produce. Product Development: "What's the word from our market testing?" Marketing: "Well, most of our test subjects really liked the sound of our newest guitar line, but they complained that if they let go of the necks for a split second, the headstocks will immediately dive straight into the floor. These new models are horribly unbalanced, Sir." Product Development: "Great! So, how soon will we start manufacturing and shipping them?"
Great job! I am planning to go Hawaiian slinging today for the first time and just wanted to know how to do it! I’ll let you know how it goes!

Good morning Chris! Do you have and experience with the Mako Pure Carbons?
No sorry mate we don’t sell that brand as they sell only directly to customers. We’ve seen and dealt with lots of carbon blades over the year though. Do you have a question about them?
@@westsidedivetackle3894 I’m just in the beginning stages of researching. Trying to decide between fiberglass or lower end carbons. I’ll be using almost exclusively for spearfishing.
@@iFlub. got it. Biggest difference is the material. Fiberglass is typically way more durable than CF. We sell mostly FG blades to folks who are beginning or wanting to upgrade from plastics. It can be a cost thing as well. FG blades are more responsive (translate water down the blade) than plastics but not better than CF blades in that respect. CF blades are a lot lighter than FG therefore you use less energy through your swim cycle. CF are typically more expensive and are less durable (say for reef diving). Hope this helps
@@westsidedivetackle3894 thanks Chris! Diving less than 100 ft for the most part. I’ve tried out some fiberglass before and loved them (don’t remember the brand). Didn’t know if it would be worth the upgrade to cheaper carbons for marginally more. Looking to spend up to about $350 for blades and foot pockets.
@@iFlub. in this case you might want to save up a little more and get a great pair of CF blades. Cetma, Alchemy or Meandros CF are what we sell a lot of. The difference of a $100 more for a great CF is immense! If you cannot save and really want the CF blades just determine the type of diving you a few going to be doing mostly. Again CF blades can get damaged on rocks and reef. Maybe also look at a mix of CF/FG if your dive area is rough on the fins 🤙
