Hi Ben great video. Ì was on RUclips looking for another similar video to yours but this one had music playing in the background and had a big planted tank with lots of millipedes and pillbugs in it. Have you seen this video. I would love to see it again. I have just ordered some millipedes and they should arrive this week. If you know who made the other video can you let me know. Cheers

Very pretty but I admit I got concerned when you kept adding more and more goldfish! Lots of toxins there, my friend. Two or three goldfish, maybe in a tank this size. Otherwise many water changes in your future.

Obviously it's a moot point now because this was 5 years ago, but never never never dig up molting crabs unless you absolutely have to. The stress of being moved can kill them. If you have an exposed molter (accidental dig up or surface molting), there is a procedure for isolating them to keep them safe until they regain strength, because the others will absolutely dig through that leaf easily and potentially kill and eat them while they're weak and defenseless. Otherwise, awesome tank. I just saw that and thought Ooooh nooooo.

It seems like you've done a lot of trips out of Monterey. Can you recommend a good company to go with from there? I've only gone out once in Monterey on a big boat and they were nice, but I wouldn't have minded being closer to the water. Most of my other trips have been out of Dana Point with Captain Dave. I love their boats because you're either on a small one close to the water, or on one of the bigger catamarans with the netting you can stand on, look down through and see the dolphins looking up at you. Thanks for sharing your trips and amazing sightings!

I take the view, Humpbacks are the most gentle wild giants in Nature. Yes they can get angry, if humans get too close in case there are babys arround but generally they take care, not to hurt anybody.
