Yeah, brilliant once you get the hang of the muzzle velocity and sweet spot mechanics.

It is available in 4k now albeit on console at least it is capped at 60fps. PC might be higher though. I agree it would look great remastered for this generation of console. It still plays really well in 2024 and the atmosphere is unrivaled

I agree! I think the WW1 setting helps, lots of quirky weapons, especially the experimental ones. Lots of different ideas for weapon systems and all sorts of empires pitching in. BFV was good but just struggled to eclipse BF1 somehow. Agree about GTA4 and 5, lots of improvements in 5 and yet there is a lot I prefer about 4.

Yes I think that is right, I've one-shotted them a few times and got 'vehicle damaged 100' suggesting they were full health. I know sometimes with a sniper you can do like 15 damage instead of 3 if you hit it there as well. I've never intentionally aimed for it though!

It might have been, people definitely used it. It is without doubt fun and powerful in a 1v1 but limited by that magazine. Definitely more of a 'skill weapon' as you have to pick your moments with it. Good fun though 👍

@@TheAmbler Skill is definitely needed for almost every gun in the game. I just finished a few rounds of bf1, it's tough in there lol, granted I haven't played for a long time, but it's good to hop back in

@JamesZ32100 when you haven't played for a while it does take some time, it feels very different to anything else. I guess the WW1 guns are also a bit of a leveller, you have to think about what you're using a lot more. All part of the fun, though!

Absolutely. It fulfilled its purpose as a AAA game but you can tell it was made with real passion and attention to detail which is sadly missing from so many modern titles. Fingers crossed for Battlefield 2025... thanks for watching.

@@TheAmbleryeah! I really think videogames like other industries are controlled by groups with large amounts of money who control what sort of games get made, in a similar vain to music and movies. So it's not as organic and natural as we might think.

The two magazines hold different types of ammunition. The left holds incendiary rounds for anti air and the right holds normal bullets. There is a switch to chose between the two. So the left hand magazine is being replaced only. You could press the switch and change to the other quickly if you wanted to fire that instead

I'm not sure, I thought just the HUD but its possible. Why, does it look better or worse without?

@@TheAmbler Motion blur on makes it look cheap ; ; I usually turn off motion blur when I play BF1

Thanks I will check my settings. I might have disabled it a while ago, but more for gunplay than for aesthetics. Ultimately I'm capped at 60fps on ps5 so some of the close quarters fighting can be a little frantic when compare with PC. But it still looks great for 8 years old!

In game, I struggled to use the Ross MK3 Infantry for its iron sights but the Marksman version is great. None of them are 'bad' but certainly some more usable than others. Which is your favourite?

Thanks friend. It is always satisfying when they line up like that. A tricky rifle to use, but once you get the hang of it, its actually not bad.

60fps on the ps5. I think a lot more is possible on PC and the latest xbox though, maybe 120? It still looks great in 60fps today

How many are you in now? To be fair most of these clips are from the last 100 hours or so. It's a shame they moved on to BFV so quickly, I think there was more life in this. Hopefully Battlefield 2025 brings the series back around or I might end up at 2000 hours on BF1!

Approximately where the video starts. It spawns for the defending team on Operations just after the attackers take the third sector I.e the one with 3 objectives. If you spawn at your base, out the front of the fortress, it spawns there. Good luck!
