Hi, Further to the comment below it is very likely a 3 1/2" gauge Talyllyn Railway "Sir Haydn" designed by Ross Harrison. Part of the range of models marketed under Lirima Designs one time based in Towyn. I know of one completed example, this is only the second I've seen.

How do you get the grooves aligned from the backing flange to the gear head? It then says “tighten with the multi tool” but I can’t stop the spindle rotating? Help!

They are mighty for trimming patch panels on car repair stuff , my friend has one and he only gave 30 quid for it , its paid for its self in not buying 1mm cutting discs.The pedal seems short on yours though .

Carronade?

It was cast in the UK between 1830-1850. It is called a 'gunnade' - a special type of lightweight cannon for merchant ships. If you want to blank fire it, it would first need to be proofed by either the London or Birmingham proof houses. Being cast iron, I wouldn't recomend getting it proofed for shot. Once proofed, it will need to be put on a Section1 firearm certificate and kept in a secure environment as approved by your local police force's FEO (firearms enquiry officer). Any of smoothbore over 2" in diameter needs to be on such a license. Alternativley, you can keept it as a curio/ display ornament as long as you don't intent to fire it. I hope that helps.

Hello James I can also confirm it’s an LBSC Speedy 15xx tank engine as it has hook on the rear buffer beam, the tender is not for that engine. Best wishes James

I believe that is a B6b steam switcher based on the shape of the valve gear hangers, but could be wrong - May be a Great Western 15xx, looking at the bufferbeams/draft gear?

Sure that the tender goes with it? Looks more like a speedy pannier tank with a tender body that doesn't belong to it... especially given that rear coupling hook instead of a dragbox/draw bar set up for the tender

Please please please paint the wheel centres black or at least dark grey. As a Canadian rail fan I can tell you that NO Canadian engine ever had red wheel centres. If this is an example of Martin Evans design for the "Canadian Switcher / Caribou" be aware that it is in no way close to an accurate scale representation of any Canadian 0-8-0. There was plenty of photos and some works drawings / erecting cards of 0-8-0's from Canada that Evans could have used to design an accurate model, but he didn't, and it's a shame.

from canada here, I believe thats an 0-8-0 caribou, I have driven a 3 1/2" Gaauge Caribou that looks very similar.
