My suburban shakes / vibrates in that general area. Prior I had to replace the driver side motor mounts twice. Now I’m gonna replace that transmission anchor mount assuming this is the cause of the vibration your feedback will be appreciated Thanks Dennis 2012 Suburban LTZ 4x4
My gmc makes a thump noise when I accelerate from 0 at a high rate... its like the motor or Trans lifts off of the frame it's mounted on and then lays back on it... the car kind of lifts up on driver side wen I do that... what do you think it is? I thought it was my Trans mount until I read this thread. Thanks...
Same exact problem. Why do you not think it's the trans motor mount? sorry but I can't watch the whole 5 min vid lol. 2012 1500. no vibration just a big thud.
Well for one, if you feel that movement and clunking, you shouldn't be accelerating at a high rate. For two replace all 3 of your mounts, not just one. I'd start at the trans mount and just thread all of the bolts a few threads so you have plenty of movement. Then replace the passenger motor mount, again insert all of the bolts with only a few threads. Lastly drive side mount, tighten it down completely, then tighten the passenger side completely, and then tighten the trans mount down completely. Youre good for at least another 100k vs 10k or less if you just replace one. GM is just under $300.00 for all three mounts. Otherwise if you're brave, Amazon has all 3 for like 80 dollars
If I had to compare it to something it would have to be like when your tires are due for balancing. On a scale from 1-10 mine was about a 5 and I assume the longer you leave the issue unresolved the worse the vibration will get.
@@jcjmoney2859 so my 07 silverado started vibrating really bad at highway speeds. went under the hood and noticed my front mounts were bad. i just finished changing them out at 239,000 miles. i had an issue getting them in with the heat sheild on.. so i took them off. im sure they will premature wear because of the heat IDK.. now im wondering if the issue might be the trans mount. vibration would happen driving straight, when i would go into turns at 65-75 mph the vibration would stop. is there something else i should look at? have not high way tested it yet being its 11pm
@@shantigeary4212 get your drive shaft balanced 60$ if you remove it yourself and bring to local shop. That will get rid of the vibration at 70+mph . Trust did it all
No problem, any time I come across an issue with my vehicles I always fix it myself and next time I do come across a problem I’ll post it so it can help someone out.

Exactly why my transmission is shaking. Doing this weekend. Thx! Happy 2023
The aftermarket parts don't last that long because everyone only does one mount. If you need one then you need them all, in most cases
Good thing there is just one mount.
@@ray6976 you obviously know nothing about Chevys or GM just shut up
I'm just watching hoping the watch doesn't break, on the 2nd bolt. But I totally understand bro I'm a Do-it-myselfer too
Awesome video! Thanks brother

Sounds like motor mount is bad

Great Job! Thanks!!!
where did you get the part? great video thx.
What size are the bolts...I just bought a 4l60 and I need those bolts just don't know the size
Did you ever figure this out?
My noise still is on ! After doing what you did in this video ! :( ;( Thanks any way !
Check the motor Mounts i have the same issues ,noises when i put on drive and i replace all Mounts and the noise goes
You couldn't be a sorry mechanic if your life depended on it
You didn’t show us why your original one was bad
Bro flip your wrench over. That's why it's bent to one side. So you can stay on the bolt even though God didn't make humans with perfect right angles.
Thanks for the video. Changed and running well. 💪
Is your truck 2 or 4 wheel drive?
2
Do you know if its the same for Yukon XL 07?
I don’t think it would be much different from my year to yours to be honest but not 100% sure
2wd has one bolt on the bottom, 4wd has two bolts
Muy buen video, me sirvio mucho....gracias...next wd 40 jejeje

Did it solve the issue that you had? I am gonna do this to mines this weekend.
Yes, It fixed it. I will be coming back with a few more videos of the same Issue of vibration, but different causes.
