Drop down fridge slide review
Просмотров 76 тыс.7 лет назад
hey viewers in this episode I will be explaining the benefits of a drop down fridge slide hope you enjoy.
Hello from the USA west coast.
Nice setup!
my 2020 Kings Fridge 60L did not fit on this DS40
Many thanks for the post. We have just bought one and are about to install. We had a couple of concerns but your video reveals that it won’t be an issue Cheers
Nice clear video mate. Great work. Need more videos like this on RUclips.
does the DS45 fit a portable fridge with a base measurement of 26.5 x18
Rember folks the weight of the slide I just got a MSA slide for a 95 ltr fridge and it is 28 kgs . It is beautifully made.
Personally I would have put the fridge and drop slide on the other side. Then put a hard top on the king's fridge slide and make that a pullout bench
Mate I went out and brought one it didn’t fit
Doesn’t fit mate. You’re lying
@DEVARMONT7I did the same...went and bought a DS40 for my Kings 60 liter fridge...doesnt fit. Now in the process of trying to exchange the drop slide for a DS45. Lesson learnt. We're not morons 😉
How much $$ to buy her??
Peter. Hatch sorry not for sale
Great video mate
I wonder if this would work with the "Decked" system.
UnusualWarrior Did you install a MSA fridge slide onto your decked system ? I am looking for a solution ?
@@tw53511 I'm on it too
JESUZ MISTER, its all about You being inthe video !!!! GET OUT of the road, show the features with closeups and how everything works, this has just been a waste of time.
The slides worth more than than the drawers & all the Kings gear you have 😂
Costs more. Worth more?
My apologies upfront as I do not intent to critique this video, but as with most things handyman, some people wouldn't know a hammer from a haemorrhoid so tend to take shortcuts when installing anything of this nature. I can almost guarantee that when installing the titan drawers, most people wouldn't be bothered to take the tops of the cabinet and will only install 2 bolts in the font where it is most easily accessible. As Shane D points out, the strength of the drawer chassis should be seriously considered particularly with the drawer now extending beyond its designed length. You have in fact created a huge weighted lever that when fully extended, will put a larger then intended load at the fulcrum. On top of the accelerated fatigue to the cabinet, if the people who installed their own took shortcuts and only installed the front 2 bolts, the whole thing is going to tip like a see-saw. Having said that, I had actually acquired the CAD drawings to build a similar mechanism for my fridge. Building it would not have been a problem but I am opting out for an evakool drawer fridge. Similar to a slideout BBQ on a camper, this idea would work great in a similar install.
Well that's their own fault.. nothing to do with this fellows video..
Hi mate what size lift have you got? Anymore vids on the Gu?
Informative video. I have just installed some Titan drawers and will be installing a drop down fridge slide with a fridge I haven't bought yet. My concern is using the original slide as a slide out, it was not designed for this. I noticed that it bounced a lot when it was fully extended, has this caused you any problems? Also the standard locking mechanism on mine only has about 1mm of anchorage. Did you have to change yours?
I have the same question as I too have a titan drawer system, which fridge drop down are you considering?
I am leaning toward the Clearview because of it's graduated drops and locking in the fridge slide, I just would not trust it on full extension. I have also noticed that the drawer locks do not have much bite on the lock as well. I will be securing a 3mm piece of steel to give the lock grip a bit more depth
I've had no problems at all and I've fully loaded the fridge
No I haven't had to change anything from factory
Good video mate!
