Really? This is one of the best, if not the best arrangements of the song I’ve heard. It’s the most well flowing and moving versions of this song, even more than the most famous version of the song. This arrangement also adds parts of its own that elevates the song

I watched some excellent music from Ghana a few videos back. Not a white face anywhere…. Although, until you pointed out race, I hadn’t even given it a seconds thought, since I was interested in the music.
Plenty of other bands of the opposite. So what's your point?

My high school was going to do this for the 2020 Jazz Band competition season my senior year. But Covid had other plans. This was a really cool arrangement and being lead Alto was a fun challenge for this song

Sehr schönes Arrangement. Spiele ich auch wahnsinnig gerne in meiner Big Band. Das ist gutes klassisches Jazz, dass einem ein wohliges Gefühl bringt, wenn man es zusammen miteinander spielt. Toll gemacht.

De bigband-versie wordt meestal snel gespeeld. In het partituur van mijn bigband stond tempo 180 of sneller als indicatie aangegeven. Dan is dit nog aan de langzame kant. Het is wel zo dat op hogere snelheid foutjes duidelijker hoorbaar zijn. Een band moet het tempo wel aankunnen.
