How I Make Decisions For My Clothing Brand
Sounds like a pain to set up. Would you say it's still the best choice for someone looking to start a small business?
Overall this is a great printer for the price to value ratio. I don’t regret buying it :-)
Where you been brother
Will be back very soon! I’ve taken a break from making new videos but I have new content in the works
@@rubashkastreetwear awesome!
Thank you so much 😊
No problem :-)
So what’s the rollers in the front of the machine for ? I heard they don’t really do anything for the bn20 ? On if you had a cutter like the gs ?
I’m not entirely sure what the rollers do- they came with the stand. The stand is great though!
Hay, I would like setup artwork for printing. I am preparing artwork for printing and cutting roland machine and graphtec. If you have any opportunity for those task please kindly let me know
7:30 I think that’s to keep dirt out of the barrel … and you remove it when your ready to shoot
Cool video
Where is the option on settings to make one by one label?
There should be a choice to choose a 1x1 inch label :) you may also make a custom page size of that doesn’t work
Where do you buy these?
I get the shelves from Home Depot and the boxes from Uline.com
beautiful designs the stickers themselves made me wanna check you out G
Thank you!
How do you figure out the shipping thresholds? Where do you find out the difference in pricing?
Shipping cost is based on weight/size/shipping destination and is automatically calculated via Shopify or whatever shipping service you may use. You can figure out thresholds by playing around with changing the weight on the computer before you purchase a label or getting a chart from UPS/USPS they usually have them online. After that, I use a pricing matrix for my shipping materials (boxes) to find the best fit/cost and whether or not I will need to travel to drop off my packages. It can be a little tedious to get all those details together, but it will help a lot to understand how to be as efficient as possible with shipping
can you please explain also for kids sizes how many pieces from each age size should i order?
The same information applies to kids sizes. You need as much as your personal market is demanding from you
You make dope shit!
Appreciate it
What is the white part called
It is vinyl www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/679301-REG/Savage_V01_0507_5_x_7_Infinity.html
It is written in Arabic, Nish. You can target Saudi Arabia and the Emirates, they love this type of clothing
I discovered your channel today, Ihope u continue making these types of videos, from Palestine. Thank u 🌸
try MADE blanks
Did you ever make the jig ?
So beautiful 😮
Excellent work
Do you notice any excess fumes or odor from the ink?
There are slight fumes from the ink, but they are not harsh and do not last as it is pretty fast drying. I keep my printer in a separate room to reduce noise output, dust, and the slight fumes. I also let the prints off-gas for 24 hours before laminating as well
What about a low priced item? Less than $30?
Generally, I would say no, simply because signature confirmation would roughly be 10% the cost of the item in that case, and is not economically worth it. Perhaps you may do it if a customer requests it, or if you have a very high profit margin or a very obscure/ 1 off item that you are selling. If you want real world data, out of 1000 packages that I send out maybe only 1-3 at most get lost.
@@rubashkastreetwear Thank you.
You could also use medium and large flat rate boxes or priority mail cubic.
Yep!
I’m new to this, can I release just one design to be printed on short sleeves and sweaters?
Definitely! Shouldn’t be a problem with most print shops. There is one follow up video I made that you may want to watch ruclips.net/video/IchkUq294Xo/видео.htmlsi=243ouktv9BxFoNvh Sometimes you may design something that works well on a tee but may not fit on another article of clothing.
@@rubashkastreetwear Thank you!
alright bro
If you are starting out on a shoestring budget, this is a great way to get the supplies you need. People often donate brand new shipping supplies of all types from their own failed/retired e-commerce ventures, and you will find good deals. When you are starting out and don’t know what you are doing and don’t have many orders, you don’t wanna drop serious money on stuff from uline, buying thousands of mailers or materials which will also take up space. Once you are well established as a business, you can have a good system set up with your shipping materials and won’t need to hunt for them and you can also pursue custom packaging for better branding if you wish. I got this pack of paper as an example to show how easy it is to find great affordable supplies :-)
Chop Saw? Please send me some info. I'm about to buy the original BN-20
The BN-20 accepts a max of 20 inch width rolls of vinyl, which means not every vinyl that you may want may be available in that roll size. For me, is use a specific heavy duty 3M vinyl and laminate, so I purchased a chop saw to cut down the larger rolls into 20 inch rolls to fit onto the printer. www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-15-Amp-Corded-12-in-Double-Bevel-Sliding-Compound-Miter-Saw-Blade-Wrench-and-Material-Clamp-DWS779/321488482?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&srsltid=AfmBOoq05qxFvW7uqFUI4xaW2QUXzZ6JUm-sJNOrN0tMXUUhkZooNmIXvZY Some vinyl distributors may also be able to cut it down for you if you inquire.
What are the rollers up front for?
Great work so far! Really good insight. What are the shelves you’ve got? Did they come with the wheels?
Hello Simon, These are HDX storage shelves from Home Depot. They didn’t come with wheels, but I found file cabinet dollies from Zoro : www.zoro.com/hirsh-cabinet-dolly-lateral-files-storage-cabinets-adjustable-15030/i/G5771915/ I got the dollys years ago when they were way cheaper so there may be a better way to get wheels on there now.
hi,
there’s no wheels on the stair stepper !
Definitely. I wanna get the spring loaded one with wheels, but I just got this step for free so I made use of it 😅
ALRIGHT BRO
have you considered making stickers as a service? the material u use is super high quality and i've been looking for someone to make some for me with your material
Yeah it’s definitely something that could be done if I wasn’t already so focused on running the brand day to day 😹
Im wanting to make 4x6 labels for my candles would you recomend this??
Yes it can work for that. The only downside is this printer is slow-if you have lower or steady candle sale volume it will be fine. If you are selling tens of thousands during a month, it would not be able to handle the amount
great video what kind of material you use
3M IJ35 Scotchcal Vinyl + compatible lamination overlay
Came across your IG page. Good shit man, my order is set to be delivered today I’m hyped!
alright bro
very good.
Japan was backwards? I remember America dropping 2 Atomic bombs on them. Have to be careful with your choice of words.
Hello Ahmad, Sorry if my message is unclear. What I mean by this is that Imperial Japan is backwards in terms of social, economic, and industrial output in comparison to post war, rebuilt Japan. Japan became a powerhouse of innovation and manufacturing despite being war torn, with the aid of America helping it to the point were they rivaled the US In technology and industry in the 1980s.
If done well, inserts can provide brand trust. Just because it gives the impression that the business is more establish. For the inserts landing up in landfill. You could switch the business from being not environmentally friendly to friendly. By buying recycled inserts, consumer probably will see it in a good way.
Definitely, those are thoughtful ways to approach :-)
alright bro
ты с России?
Born in Russia and Living in the USA since 1997. :-)
The Rubashka design language has always felt authentic to me. I think that like anything there is room for growth and evolution of your ideas but the design landscape recently is sort of an echo chamber that kills genuine creativity. It might be a challenge but I tend to think that designing clothing today would be benefitted by creating in a vacuum, you see so many startups get drowned out by the noise of trying to catch trends and failing to turn heads. Interesting watch as always and looking forward to seeing what the brand has in store for the future!
That is true, I love the “head down, working” aspect of being very focused on creating and not getting wrapped up in the noise. One challenge I personally have is that I am afraid to release some ideas that I think will be great, but I am not sure if people will see it the way I want them to see it, if that makes sense. But that is another issue that you must take a risk on and leap of faith for some ideas, regardless of if everyone will be receptive to it.
@@rubashkastreetwear I hear what you're saying. And again thats another massive obstacle for creativity, especially when you are the artist and businessman behind the brand. As the sole curator for your brands image you have to find ideas that mesh with your ethos and as a business owner you have to monetize those ideas. So it's easy to get into that feedback loop with past ideas that have performed well and avoiding others that fall flat. But it's important to remember art is still art even if it doesn't sell, sometimes just including a design in your repertoire for even a short time is effective in showing people who you are and what you stand for and by extension what your customers value. In my opinion having a deep catalog of designs enriches brand character and gives more opportunities for customers to reflect themselves in your art and get hooked on the brand.

The new shirt is awesome!!!! Btw how is it if i want ur stuff oversized. Just a size bigger?
Yes, go a size up for oversized fit 😁
What kinda of zip lock bags are those?
Just saw this 😅 these are 2 mil poly zip bags, they have a variety of sizes on uline www.uline.com/BL_5562/Reclosable-Polypropylene-Bags
Thank you!
Thank you for the great advice! Can't wait to see what you have coming up in the future.
Where can I buy it?
Shopify’s own brand store
How do you ship bigger stickers? Like 7by 7 inches? Also, what’s the max weight shipping like this with 2 stamps? Thanks!
For large stickers like that you would just have to source non standard envelopes. USPS.com has all the weight limits listed
@@rubashkastreetwear thanks for your response, isn’t that expensive though? I usually mail the 7x7 inch sticker with USPS ground advantage. I believe that’s overpaying and waste of money for just a single sticker correct?
