@@albertmarkethinkpr1325 it goes through a focusrite solo 3rd gen and into fl studio. I use reverb and compression. Chorus and distortion for this song

@@greccoantartuku229 it's an SX, made in China or Indonesia. But it's known to be some of the best cost x benefits basses out there. I like it a lot. But the sound comes from your fingers. The way you pluck, where you pluck, what pickup you're using, is the tone off? And then I have post production in fl studios which is eq, compression and reverb

I think of Proclamation as one of Giant's "easier" progressive songs and it may be, but there is nothing safe about Ray's bass part. He plays off the beats, he leaves beats empty, he does not fill chords but transforms them. Quite an amazing part. And I never realized how much that is so in this song, in 45 years of listening, until hearing this bass cover. Nice job!

And Ray Shulman was the greatest rock bass player, because he was technically incredible and musically creative. Check out the bass line in this link. And Shulman is the violinist too. Well done. However, in the beginning, you're off a bit. Ray did a subtle thing that is difficult to explain, but you can hear in that phrase (which repeats twice but with a slightly different timing for one note of the phrase) how you're about a quarter beat behind starting at 0:52. You're slightly behind the note. When he modulates up at 1:11, you're behind again. Listen again carefully...
