Would do unspeakable things for Sims 3 on console

To add on building in TS3: You can do WAY more interesting stuff in build mode than what is provided first hand but it requires cheats and keyboard shortcuts. Like layering foundations, changing foundation heights, almost unlimited build height, straying from the grid and stuff the like. Another fun thing you can easily do with cheats is making your own tombs and stuff if you have WA (something I LOVE doing). TS4 still arguably has a way better system for it though, but I like the challenge sometimes in the clunky TS3 build mode.

Is it replaced or adding new cars?

I just downloaded Smooth Patch but don't see any launcher?

I don't have a strong pc do you think i could run this game with that patch it can run the sims 4 pretty much perfectly besides loading screens that can take a long time to load when loading one of my worlds.

I've been spending the last few days crafting a functional and feature rich sims 3, to the point where i burnt out so mcuh that i havent even come around to playing the game yet, haha But now that I see this, I'm heckin ready. I'm gonna make the entire breaking bad/BCS cast and make an entire playthrough around this HELL YEAH

Okay I haven't even finished the video yet but Sims 2 and Sims 3 compared to The Sims 4 is an absolutely no brainer. Even the investment to get TS3 to run smoothly is so worth it

That is right. There are no excuses for how sims 4 ended up. Sims 2 and 3 may have not been the most beautiful game, but everything you saw was real and functional.

I've played every Sims game since the original, except for the Sims 4. Sims 3 is still my favorite, and seeing how many things are missing in the Sims 4 even after all these years, I'm still not inclined to switch.

Thank you for this video. It's actually not easy to find short, informative videos about mods that you ACTUALLY need when starting to mod the game. There is just too many "10 MUST!!!!! HAVE MODS for Sims 3 2024" videos, and then it's "Customizable picture frames" and " High res wine glasses". Like, dude. I need mods that make the game run on my PC before I worry about some damn wine glasses. Thank you for your service here, this is a great video to start off with mods.

I love how they don’t have burglars but they have a criminal career track in the base game. Also use the 2 mods you do. Even if you forget the xxx rated stuff, the attractiveness system in wicked whims is stellar and reminds me of sims2s relationship system. God I miss being able to actually leave the sims to their own instead of having to babysit these idiots in sims4.

I just started playing sims 3 and I was genuinely shocked at how much more it had in comparison to sims 4…which I have been playing for years and spending hundreds of dollars on in expansion packs just to make it even an ounce enjoyable. I have three packs on sims 3 that I got for 30 dollars on a sale and it’s wa my funner and a lot more to do.

Computers can’t handle the badly coded game

is there a mod that turns down the volume of the computer games? i hate how loud it always is, and you can’t change the volume like you can with the TV.

My main issue with sims 4 is that it's just so limited. You want to have an infant? Sure! But you gotta pay for the infant to actually feel and learn like an infant. You want your sims to take care of your toddlers and infants? Alright! Allow us to make your sims pick up and put down their child 100 times to do what you told them to do, only for them to cancel the command in the end! You want subcultures? Gotta pay for that! Vampires and werewolves? Pay up, separately! Why separately? Well, first of all, gives us more money, second, look at how aliens and mermaids ended up after being tied to a pack that isn't entirely and solely about them. Only 3 free traits and a bonus trait for an aspiration sweetheart! Oh you want the colour wheel and create a style? Sorry, but that would mean you won't need our packs to for good looking striped sweaters, so no! Want pets? Buy our four separate animal based packs! Hey, our sims are smarter now! (Sim refuses to go somewhere claiming they can't get there. You tell your sim to go close to that somewhere and command them to go to somewhere from that new spot. Now they're fine.) They can multitask! Isn't it great that they can multitask? (Show footage of sims refusing to function because of multitasking) But they're smart sims! (Show footage of sims claiming they can't get food because someone else is grabbing something from the fridge. Show footage from previous sims games, where sims would simply wait their turns and grab the food one by one.) It's just annoying.

5:50 This is a common misconception. You should NEVER delete any of the cache files unless you experience graphical glitches or the files are corrupted. Having those files speeds up loading and makes the game run better, as it can pull textures from those files rather than having to use CPU cycles to dynamically generate them. People who claim that you have to delete the cache files every time before launching the game don't really understand anything about the way TS3 works.

After 15 years of playing this game, I have come to the conclusion we don't need that many mods of CC, and the game runs better when there's not that much extra content. These are the mods I recommend: - Simler's CORE mod: He went through the CORE libraries of the game and fixed THOUSANDS of bugs, including EA's Story Progression. Now you don't need additional mods like NRaas Story Progression for the game to function as intended. - Lazy Duchess' Smooth Patch: The smooth patch itself only improves performance a little, but the package it comes with helps improve CAS by not loading all elements at once. It just makes the whole CAS experience much more fluid and easy. - NRaas' Overwatch: The only mod of NRaas you actually need, especially if you play in the same world for many generations. It will reset Sims, delete vehicles, turn off stereos and TVs, and keep your world optimized as much as possible. - NRaas' Traveler: The second NRaas mod I can't live without because I love taking my Sims to visit other worlds like Isla Paradiso and this mod adds that functionality. - The Sweet Simmer's mods: All of them. They add a ton of new interactions for babies and toddler (but also some for adult Sims) and make playing with families so much. - Kapaer's "Children Can" mod: This isn't really a mod. These are animations and XML edits needed for children to perform a ton of activities without stretching, like playing instruments and gardening. It gives children more or less the same interactions adults have. - Icarus AllSorts' mods: Mainly Eat Outside Restaurants, Food Synthesizer Menu and Serve Meals. Small, quality of life improvements.

Stopped playing a couple of years ago because the UI was super small on 1440p. This mod is a gamechanger!

I have Sims 3...I got it so far back that I had it on CD LOL. I don't think I've played for at least 8 years, maybe more. I have a few expansions and mods/CCs I think but I don't remember how I got that or how any of it worked. I remember playing the sims 4 demo and being kind of bored though. Is it worth getting back into? How should I start? Can I buy expansion packs on Steam if I moved the game to the origin app?

People need to add this game to their benchmark suite. The Sims 3 with its 1 core and slightly 2 core threadediness could be a great benchmark to modern cpus late game. Sims 3 truly is better than the sims 4 and the only thing which hurt the game when I last played it in 2018 with my aging fx8350 at the time was its optimization.

Only focusing on the Exchange? Open world is only 1/2 the real draw. Create a Style is what separates the men from the boys. Better late than never.
