Seems fake to me. None of the item where dipped before hand and then switch on the machine. I don't mean ultrasonic cleaner does not work , just not the amount of dirt as shown in the video. But still satisfying to view.

Is that because is a cleaning after polishing? Or just dirt?

This is inaccurate as it is ignoring the important polishing process that happens before the ultrasonic bath. If you pay close attention after the dirty shot but before the item is submerged there is a substantial difference in appearance already. The fine particles being washed off is actually polishing compound. An unpolished piece doesn't explode off all its dirt as dramatically as the polishing compound. Ultrasonic cleaning alone is still used in professional cleaning but it is generally limited to particularly delicate or intricate pieces that cannot be polished by machine and hand polishing isn't worthwhile. Showroom quality pieces can have more extensive cleaning by a professional but it is much more time and labour intensive than a buff and bath.

I imagine that an awful lot of that brown gunk has to be spray on tan. There’s no way everyone’s jewellery all came out with the same dirt! 👍🏻😷🏳️‍🌈💦

All the brown stuff you see coming off aint dirt its polish they clean them up and then polish and the put them in a ultrasonic bath to get rid of the polish left on
