sure! start with a row of regular single crochet of any number of stitches. Then you'll alternate a row of herringbone single crochet with a row of reverse herringbone single crochet (video here: ruclips.net/user/shortsaMs2_Iy-6Ac) until your project reaches your desired size 🙌

oh no! it can be hard to get the hang of squares to begin with, knowing where to put the stitches.. you might find it easier to start with a project worked in rows back and forth to get used to the stitches, then go back to making a square later?

I’m alternating one waistcoat stitch (aka split single crochet) with one chain stitch. It’s a pretty combo isn’t it! 😍

I wondered if it might be, as some glittery yarns definitely are.. this one feels pretty soft though ☺️
