Do not allow others to sterilize death allow your grief to be known and never be ashamed of it just do others are comfortable. This means more after I lost my dad to Covid in 2020 this hits home I allow my grief to come and I cry when I need to and don’t care how others perceive it 💔
This is one of my favorite scenes in any show ever. Our culture has distanced itself from death to the point of numbness. Grief will always express itself one way or the other. It will manifest itself in powerful, painful and strange ways and it's ok. Despite our cultures false shows of strength and quiet acceptance and it's platitudes and trite attempts at comfort, know that it is ok to cry. It is ok to grieve. It is ok to hurt. Jesus, knowing that He would resurrect Lazarus in mere minutes still allowed Himself to grieve. If the Greatest Strength allowed tears to flow for His loss and the pain death caused those around Him then surely we should not view mourning as weakness. When someone dies the world is not ok. And it's ok not to be ok when someone you love leaves your life. Don't ever let anyone tell you any differently.
@@stylinsue535 I agree. If anyone deserved to be shrink wrapped to Dexter Morgan's table, it was Nate. It would be so satisfying to see Dexter shouting "open your eyes Nate! Look at what you have done!"
I dont think I've ever cried so hard as I did when Nate died, and his funeral was so emotional too. When i finished the final episode of this fantastic show, I started it all again from the beginning as I missed all the characters so much. Found it too hard to let go. To me this is the BEST TV SHOW EVER.
I watch it once every couple years and there were a few times it made me sad like when Lisa disappeared and when Nate had to bury her but when Nate died and Knocking On Heaven's Door was playing at his wake I completely lose it. I start crying and literally feel like I'm at the funeral with them. I know it's just a TV series but I am forever grateful for having known the Fishers for 5 years and they'll always hold a special place in my heart.
I keep going back and forth between who had the better finale, this show or the Sopranos. Now I realize they both had the better one, just depends on the mood you’re in.
Great scene. Frances Conroy kills it (pardon the pun). And the clip fantastically bookends the Sicilian women flashback with Ruth's emergent reaction. Amazing storytelling and imagery, even though it was the first episode, it's still one of the most powerful scenes in the series. Those primal wailings will be with me forever.
Some great acting by Francis Conroy
Her screaming cry makes my soul hurt. Such a great actress, it felt so real and the agony is so genuine.

I am so sorry *HuuugS*
Our dog has no cancer.

I’m just about done with Season 2. Holy shit, this show is crazy good! I’m obsessed! 🥰
Everyone should watch the entire 5 seasons of this show. One of the best I’ve seen.
Fax it's a masterpiece
Did Dexter kill this poor guy?
David got on my nerves acting like a pussy the whole time.
No but watch the show. It’s so well worth it.
No but by the end of the series I wish Nate had been, the cheating loser.

Powerful scene. Loss around the holidays is the most painful. Love this series.
Lesson learned. Francis Conroy should get an award.
Vous allez nous manquer NATH Fisher !
I think this show got more tears out of me than anything else I've ever watched. Nate's death was even tougher to take...

Not 100% certain but I think I read she won an Emmy award for this scene, so well deserved ❤️❤️
Michael C. Hall was do great in this role . . . . it's easy to forget that after Dexter.
Frances Conroy's acting is out of this world.
Maybe that's she was the best option to play mother of Joker :)
What a group of phenomenal actors!!!! I miss you all and this show!
fucking awesome, nate.
Que escena mas notable... Tan cruda y tan humana, el dolor de una persona en su maxima expresion...
