FORGING A METEOR KATANA, DONE AT LAST!
In this video, I finally finish the meteor damascus katana I started ages ago. despite the insane amount of time it took to make though, or maybe because of it, I am very pleased with how it turned out.
This video shows how I go from a bar of steel, to the finished sword. to see how I forge the meteorite, and turned that into a bar of damascus steel, you should check out the previous video, and the videos I have on earlier attempts at this project.

Dimitri Shostakovich’s Waltz No 2. It was not originally written for accordion, but still one of the best sounding songs to play on accordion in my opinion. I have some minor technical difficulties, bit I do an Ok version of it here.
Great job. I'm working on a similar torch right now with a 1lb tank with 18 psi output. No compressed air just compressing propane after it leaves the tank with 88 orfice and ventura effect. Only bad part so far is too long torch head and battery pack and compressor and wires and hoses it's a mess to look at

Seems meteorite iron not the best, in terms of being forged. Seems very brittle to me, and doesn’t cooperate like our terra firma elements (which ironically came from the same source as meteorites, a star that went super nova)

Max! I love your work and had a couple questions, 1. Do you take still take custom knife orders like this knife? 2. If yes, I have a 14oz Camp del Cielo meteorite and toying with having it forged into a rugged fixed blade.

Just one for the atmospheric tip! 9 I think for the forced air version, but I don't think it actually makes much difference - it's more just a way to direct the flame

You should forge the entire Katana blade out of meteorite. You’ll need about 30 lbs worth though to have enough metal.
Doesn't a coal forge lend some carbon to the iron? Make it a Lil closer to hardenable? So much stuff I simply don't understand yet!!

I question the use of solder unless it is silver solder for a torch, Wouldn't at least brazing be more appropriate?
Am a bit rusty, but I hope you are not using the Teflon tape used for water connections for gas. Isn't there a blue similar tape for use with gas fittings?
