If a Mole Clinic patient has a Mole Scan, which confirms a mole is suspect for skin cancer then the screening nurse can arrange a rapid referral to our consultant dermatologists and consultant plastic surgeons.

Most patients book regular Full Body Skin Checks with a screening nurse at The MOLE Clinic®. A Full Body Skin Check is an essential safeguard against skin cancer for all adults. Carried out by a female specialist nurse, it is a top to toe whole-body examination of all of your skin moles.

Patients with many moles can benefit from regular Mole Mapping as well as regular Whole Body Skin Checks. Our Full Body Mole Map service uses total body photography combined with the latest technology to help detect new or changing moles which might be suspect for skin cancer.

The Mole Clinic® has developed an innovative teledermatology system, which won the UK Patient Safety Award. It enables mole clinic nurses to take high-quality dermoscopic images beneath the surface of any abnormal moles detected during a screening. These images can then be assessed by a GP experienced in skin cancer diagnosis.
