מה הסיבות שנמנעים מלהיכנס לענן? ספציפית עננים כמו בסרטון שהם שטוחים יחסית
יש הרבה סיבות, אבל 3 שרלוונטיות ליום הזה: 1) אין לך שום יכולת אומדן כשאתה מתחת לענן באשר למימדיו האנכיים. אפשר לנחש לפי גוון הבסיס שלו, אבל לא פעם יצא לי לטרמל אל בסיס ענן ועד שהגעתי אליו הוא כבר היה מפותח ברמה מסוכנת. 10 דק אחרי שיצאתי ממנו הוא כבר הוריד גשם. אז יש את זה. בישראל זה כמעט לא קורה המצבים האלו, אבל עדיין שאיבת ענן כשאתה לא רואה כלום מסביבך היא דבר לא נעים כלכך (לי לפחות), ואתה מאבד המון מתחושת השליטה שלך באוויר. 2) טסנו לא מעט טייסים במסלול מאוד דומה לאורך הכביש, ויצאנו כולם בזמן דומה, ולכן כניסה לענן מביאה סכנת התנגשות. 3) אין שום סיבה להכנס לענן כשאתה רואה עוד עננים ברורים לפנייך. אתה יכול להיות בטוח שתמצא עילוי וגם יודע איפה, ולכן אפשר לוותר על הסיכון, ופשוט לדלג מבסיס ענן אחד לאחר. זה גם נכון יותר מבחינת יעילות הטיסה.

This is my approach for the same problem. I've used this for a few years now in multiple rough locations with minimal space. You can do it in any location, and it also works in windy conditions. ruclips.net/video/OTmyJoTyhqw/видео.html
nice try but you spend a lot of time pushing canopy around. if you set it up in the mushroom before laying it down you save much more time and the canopy is organized better.
The key principle was to demonstrate how to fold it from the "ugliest" form possible (nice mushroom is not an option in 30km\h winds), which happens a lot if you are on a windy day in a shitty field. In those scenarios, the movement and arrangement of the wing should be done on the concertina bag itself rather than before. It all came from a lot of experience on rough landing conditions, which we have a lot here. Believe me- if it was possible all the time to form a nice mushroom i would do it. but we are talking about what is practical in all conditions, and not what's pretty.
I thought better than other solution, but i wrong! I mean i should have bought a compression bag! 😢
By this way you increase the creasing of the fabric a lot. You can also organize the trailing edges from mushroom shape without dragging it a lot. I always pack my wing from mushroom shape even in grassy fields.
I do it when i'm in a calmer environment usually. But in general You have the misconception that organized folding is better than a "rowdy" one.. but in fact (according to Bruce Goldsmith), it's best to fold the glider as randomly as possible to prevent tiredness of the fabric. I do agree however- that a concertina bag with a closure from the bottom up would make justice here better for the wing. (mine is the opposite unfortunately)
@@tom755tom I agree with you, you have to fold it randomly. But by not folding the glider, you increase the creasing a lot. It may be creasing randomly but because everywhere is creasing every time, that randomness doesn't affect much. When I first bought my glider I packed it several times just like you did. It creased like hell. But then I changed my packing style to random concertina and its shape is like new all the time. I change the fold size every time and it never loses strength from folding areas.
@@berkhanb So what is your suggestion? The best i can think of in those scenarios is to make folds on the TE as well, but what else can u do? Given the fact that u dont want to spread the wing on the ground.

הייתי באותו המקום , בערך עשר דקות לפניך. אויר מאוד פעיל שדרש טיסה אקטיבית . בכל אופן , לדעתי ( בלבד ) אתה חווית גזירת רוח של קצה טרמיקה , זאת אומרת שטסת בשולי הטרמיקה ולכן חווית את ה " מפגש " בין הגוש הטרמאלי שעלה לבין מה שמחוצה לו.

Absolutely amazing! Easy on the launches as well as in the landings, yet agile as hell and very fast on the higher 2/3 of the speed range! Biggest perk for me is the ability to control the entire wing's speed range through the speed bar
