Dr Ben Blackwell at Houston Theological Seminary discusses the development, nature, and function of the church's creeds. I focus specifically on the Nicene Creed and Apostles' Creed and then explain some of the differences. To see more fully how creeds influence the life of the church, check out Engaging Theology: A Biblical, Historical, and Practical Introduction. amzn.to/3DmrOG4
Forrest Gump on Destiny vs Chance
Просмотров 2,3 млн8 лет назад
Lt Dan (Destiny/Determinism) vs Momma (Chance/Free Will) and then Forrest goes with the both/and model.
I dont know why my feedback is full of clips of Forest Gump, this scene broke me, i miss you mom.
מי רוצה בכלל לטפל בבן או בת, חיות, חיידקים. לא צריך יותר מאישה נשואה עברתי יותר מדי בילדותי.
I still think about certain scenes in this movie. There so real.
Fuck. Why am I crying. Best movie ever.
Beautiful movie. My favourite Tom Hanks movie is "the Green Mile" though. I got diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor myself and the scene when John Coffe heals the warden's wife always gets me.. where is my John Coffe, I wonder...
This film is like a modern gospel ❤
I'm crying and i can't stop crying
Lt. Dan's ancestors were....well you know by Wolverine.
I think gump is the devil but he doesn’t want to be
The ultimate friend zone
This movie kinda reminds me of Simple Jack.
Imagine all those men who fought and survived and felt the same way. RIP warriors 😔
That is incredibly right!
We will never have a movie like this anymore.
Forrest is the personification of love and compassion. How can you not cry when he speaks from the heart?
I think I met the Lt. Dan when I was in Afghanistan….
0:00- I can no longer watch RUclips reactors watch Forrest Gump because all they do is be heartless, ungracious, judgmental, unempathtic remarks bashing Jenny calling her out of her name by insulting her and never understanding how she began her life with abuse first and she had to unlearn what she was shown as a child to truly understand what love is. I am so tired of bastards bashing Jenny calling her a gold digger, evil, and everything under the sun and Family Guy sucks for contributing to the Jenny bullying and never having any compassion for her and what she had to persevere. I love the film, but people's unnecessary prejudice on an abuser survivor is ridiculous. Funny how Celie doesn't get bashed at all in Color Purple and she went through the same things as Jenny, but reactors empathize for Celie and not Jenny. That's called racism.
I feel sorry for tom hanks in this movie some
Best movie ever made.
Damn it...Forrest lost his mom to cancer & I lost mine on 09-03-2016
I know what it's like not be able to use your legs!¡ i had my 1st battle with multiple sclerosis back in 2012..I was in the hospital for 5 months..I lost all ability to able to walk..with physical therapy and meds I can walk again. I still have my bad days thou
That was Hanks best movie.
Anybody that can watch this and not be in tears 😢 is not human
Food for the soul, even if it hurts to swollow.
8:17 I hurt when I hear this
The Shawshank Redemption and Forrest Gump are actually two of my favourite movies.
I agree with Forrest. I think it is a little of both - destiny and chance, but it is all a gift from God, and precious beyond words.
I was in the USAF and was attached to the 82nd airborne on fort Bragg. It was hard watching these boys come home all twisted up mentally and physically.
Thank you Mr. Hanks. You help me remember memories. Memories and possibilities are really important to me. You are very good at stirring them up
I guess Korea is the forgotten war
A scene that is missing from this montage but I think is important is where Lt. Dan makes "peace" with God. For a lot of the movie, he is mad at God/destiny for taking the wheel and steering him somewhere he didn't want to, but I think he figures out this was his destiny. He just didn't know it yet.
This is the most beautiful movie ever made. Period.
I have an autistic son....tears rolling down.
Momma ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Amazing how back then he amputated his legs for the role and got them reattached. Should have got the Oscar just for doing that!
Why did Jenny die
Hepatitis C or AIDS cuz she was abusing drugs and sleeping with other dudes
Forest talking about the days people died will never not deeply hurt.
The only movie I want to see every time a see a clip, this is probably the best movie in the world for me, outstanding movie, probably more than 300 times watched by me and counting
Forest gump shows the beautiful side of life. Because world itself is horrible
The book is way better and funnier than the movie ❤
I suddenly realize, Lieutenant Dan married a very Japanese lady. Japan was a very fierce enemy to the U.S back in ww2. Another detail about how Lieutenant Dan changed his mindset, for the better, after his journey alongside Forrest!
Cuba's lip from my punch
Man why are y’all complaining how sad this is. It’s just a reality check
Nah but why 0:15 does here his fit look so clean
I love this movie this is a great movie❤ 0:17
I think maybe its both maybe both i miss you Jenny if theirs anything you need i won't be far away 😢😢😢😢 Forrest Gump 1994
Not generally recognised, but one of the greatest movies every made.
Forrest is the king of dad lore
Pingp ball l slwep
Is it Tom’s best role ever? Maybe 🤔, regardless, I know it’s my favorite he’s ever done, well, this and Splash, shoot, Big too. Anyhow, it was a role tailer-fitted to perfection. The score is probably my favorite of all time from a film as well. Great film all around.
