St Mary Swilland Suffolk. A Small Church with a Unique Tower.
Просмотров 262 месяца назад
St Mary's is striking above all for the treatment of the top of the tower by J.S. Corder in 1897. This consists of a brick and timber-framed structure with a double-pitched tiled roof with gables to E and W and large dormers to N and S. From the centre of the ridge rises an open octagonal lantern of timber with a tall lead spirelet like a witch's hat. Before the Conquest Swilland was held by Qu...

@@julieblackstock8650 aww they take a bit of you with them I always think. They were very beautiful ❤️❤️
Exited to visit this place soon! Thanks for the video
What a beautiful space!
thank you. I plan to do another video in May that will show what I have done since.
This is a lot of cottage garden to work with! You have some healthy looking flowers, which is a good start. I guess a cottage garden should look random and effortless. My cottage garden is a rectangle but its hard work! I'm always out there sorting out one problem or another before i open it to the public in summer. I'm looking forward to seeing progress with yours. Happy gardening!
2 years on Its a very different space. I can see the progress now
I know you're a true crime documentary enthusiast. I invite you to watch the latest real-life crime documentary I shared. Would you like to share your thoughts?
This video was recommended to me super early on so will it go viral?
Many thanks Julie for sharing your video. Nothing like a nice peaceful evening walk. You have a new subscriber
Looks creepy
it can be, there are no street lights at all
@@julieblackstock8650 I get the impression you are a country girl, used to the dark and the isolation. Do you write stories or draw?
I apologise "woman" not girl, I hope one day you will take the time and create space enough in your life to put your thoughts onto paper. I wonder what you would write, a ghost story perhaps?? Go for it, imagine you could go back in time and return to the farm, life would have been very different then. No electricity, only candles and lanterns. Life would have been much slower I suspect, imagine the clock ticking on the mantel piece dusk closing in all around the farmhouse, gives me the creeps just thinking about it. Could be a story there give it some thought and see what you can come up with. I am sure it would be wonderful and fascinating at the same time. I hope you do. Stay safe and chase your dreams Nigel
A smashing view!
What's in those branch cage things?!

2 ❤️ So beautiful sharing 💐
Nice video Julie
Looks like a pleasant day out 😃
My Boomerang was faulty... I complained to the shop, but he said: "Sorry, it's Non-Returnable"
That's a nice colour scheme the grey cottage is sporting.
Yes Rosie is definitely more pushy when it comes to her turn for a treat.
😆 🤣 wally had it by the neck. No messing about ha. I got one of them from Smyths toy store for my son and wrapped it up but left the tail sticking out. 😆
It looks magical. It's not half loud though, a bit louder than say a babbling Brook.
Awww Rosieeee. Her other half is such a gentleman Rosie was right there when blackie went back to the 🥣 she doesn't miss a trick.
Nice sun rise. Just think that the woodpecker would have seen the sun 🌞 about 3 to 5 mins before you (depending on how high up his tree he was)
Now that is one very intriguing video. I love the old door. It looks like the wood needs treating though. Can I ask: were you just a little bit tempted to knock and 🏃♂️. Come on admit it, you zoomed right in on the knocker.
I went in when they finished
What a peaceful start to the day. Was the green thing against the fence a mural or what ? Was it too early for the dogs 🐕 🤔 I'm surprised they never followed you out.
What a lovely crunching noise. Where they your own footprints 👣 in the snow when you turned back ? I noticed the big pink 🌸 flower that was growing by the fence on your windy walk through the sugar beat field was gone. Has it been stolen? Or is it kind of hibernating ?
Those white cottages were nice, Was that bread 🍞 on the ramp for the swan's ? Or was it bricks ? Did you go for a paddle ?
09:13 excellent execution of the green cross code.
4:20 - 4:38 you seem totally unfazed by the beast of Bodmin Moor .. that was AT LEAST 9 foot long. Thanks for zooming in on the poppy's and daisies. Were you wearing wellies ? Did you think you were being followed 🤔 Next time will you take a kite ?
no the panning round was for the benefit of my mum who I did this walk for. Put it on DVD for her to watch back at home
What was being harvested ? Why would anyone need that much blue rope ? Do they know something we don't 🤔 Is there going to be a global blue rope shortage ? Did you feel like sneezing while filming this ?
Oh my giddy aunt. What was that bang at the start. Was someone shooting at you ? Apart from that what a lovely 🚶♀️ Did you wear a bullet proof vest ?
Yey you've got 2 🐕 Where the tweeting birds yours or did they just happen to be there ? Did you climb up any trees?
bird were in the local woods.. Trees were mostly planted 2002 so not very big yet
The atlantis did look nice, looked a very expensive boat. Did you go for a dip ? Was the chap you were with as enthusiastic as he sounded ?
No potatoes in this one but I hope you had waterproof clothing on for this. Did the torch stay lit ? Was it as festive as it looked ?
yes yes and yes
Was you walking a dog or just on your own for a stroll ? We're they potatoes 🥔 in the next field ? Did you have waterproofs on as it looked a bit cloudy ?
with my dogs and at the time it was sugar beet, Its now barley
